jungkook paused, leaning back on the bench to assess his newest tattoo design displayed in his sketchbook. "more shading," he muttered, twirling the pencil between his fingers before adding darker tones of graphite into certain areas of the drawing.

the park was oddly quiet today, in spite of it being a sunday evening, which led to the tattooist opting to go there to work on his designs instead of the usual coffee shop. furthermore, he didn't enjoy the possibilities of running into kim taehyung today if he did decide to go to seokjin's cafe.

especially after how taehyung threw his boiling hot drink onto jungkook's front and completely ruined his white shirt without even giving a simple apology.

"why does something look off?" jungkook asked no one in particular, sighing as he stared down at his design in confusion, gaze trailing every single line and curve that there was.

"the whole thing looks pretty off if you ask me," a familiar voice responded from behind jungkook, causing the pencil in the raven's grasp to abruptly snap in two.

jungkook didn't even need to turn around since he instantly recognized that voice.

"how funny, no one fucking asked," jungkook spat, quickly whipping his head around to chuck the broken pencil straight at taehyung, who flawlessly evaded it.

taehyung let out a dry chuckle before walking up to jungkook's bench whilst remembering to still maintain a decent distance between them.

"what's so fascinating about tattoos?" the businessman suddenly questioned with a tilt of his head, eyes peering down at the open sketchbook on jungkook's lap which showed two pages that were littered full of tattoo ideas.

"i bet they raised you by telling you to stay away from people with tattoos because they're bad, yeah?" jungkook bitterly commented, slamming his sketchbook shut, propping his feet up on the bench. "must've been nice growing up around those foolish misconceptions, mr. kim."

"you don't need to go there, jeon jungkook," taehyung hissed, crossing his arms over his chest with a clearly pissed-off aura. "what i think of tattoos has nothing to do with how i was raised."

"yeah, sure," jungkook said with a mockingly drawn-out yawn.

it wasn't long before a tense silence fell over the two males with jungkook drumming his fingers on top of the cover of sketchbook and taehyung busily tapping away at his phone.

neither knew if they should say something or just finally take their leave until—

"you should start heading home. it's getting quite dark," taehyung spoke, attention still glued on to the bright screen of his smartphone.

a slight frown then washed over jungkook's features.

"i'm surprised," jungkook began with a smirk. "the kim taehyung, a treasured ceo with nearly billions of dollars on him, is concerned about little ol' unprofessional me, someone who's decked out from head to toe in tattoos. that's funny."

"if that's funny to you, then i might have to question your sense of humor," taehyung retorted with a roll of his eyes, briefly glancing up from his phone to catch jungkook's amused expression. "i'm just trying to be nice, take it whatever way you want to."

"should i be thanking you for that?" jungkook queried sarcastically.

"what you do doesn't matter to me. until next time, jeon," taehyung murmured, shoving his phone away into the pocket of his jacket and turning away, taking long strides towards a white audi that was parked right outside the park.

"kim taehyung being nice," jungkook mumbled after watching taehyung swiftly slide into his car and driving off. "how ridiculous."
