"GET OUT OF THERE!"

You yell at her but it's impossible to hear the other as the tank gets closer to the two of you. Since you knew that Lena wasn't a big fan of running, you ran towards her, picking her up and carried her around the arena to find a safe spot that you could leave her alone but the tank just keeps following me.

"Supergirl! Come in Supergirl?!"

There's no response from the line so you try Alex.

"Agent Danvers?! I need backup! We have a civilian!"

You yell and again there's no response.

"Shit, I think my radio broke."

"Let me check it."

You leaned over to check if the tank was still around and then let out a sigh of relief. You gently set Lena down on her feet. You hand Lena your watch along with your ear piece. It doesn't take her more than 2 seconds to see that it was broken.

"It's definitely broke. Have you tried turning off the simulation?"

"....we might've made it so that it wouldn't end until we finished it."

"Are you a fucking idiot? Did you not learn anything after spending 20 years i...."

You cover her mouth, hoping no one had heard her outburst.

"You need to be quiet. I know it was stupid but I thought it would be safe. I didn't think you would appear out of nowhere nor did I think a tank would appear. We never agreed to any tanks. If I take off my hand, will you promise not to yell.'

Lena rolls her eyes but reluctantly nods. As promised, you took off your hand.

"You got us into this mess, you'll get us out."

"I'm trying. I need to think."

You pull out the gun to check how many bullets, only to find that you had 3 bullets.

"I need to find more gear and you need to try to fix that radio if I can't find anything to take down that tank."

You hand her the gun as well as a knife that you kept in case of any emergencies.

"Wait, why are you giving me this. Where are you going?"

"To find more weapons. I'll distract them. Signal for me if you see an agent."

"What? No, don't leave me alone."

"Lena, I.."

You took notice of the scared and vulnerable she looked. Figuring that it had something to do with what the two of you had went through, you decided to have her follow you.

"Alright, fine. But you do everything I say. I tell you to stop and you stop."

"I promise."

After making sure that the coast was clear, you climbed the stairs to get into one of the building that contained some weapons that could used for the tank. There's several robots inside but you easily take them down.

"how well can you shoot?"

"I've never shot a gun in my life."

You hand her an assault riffle as well as a few grenades. She's clearly not dressed for all the running she's about to do so you hand her ones that you had taken off from the robot.

"Well now you will. I doubt you'll use it but it's so you can cover my six while I try to get a clear shot to the tank. Put these on. You're going to do a lot of running."

Lena was already regretting her decision of following you along but she had no choice now. She tossed her heels aside and put the boots on.

While Lena gets ready, you look out the window to try to spot where the tank could be waiting.

"He's not facing us. We can make a run for it to the ground and then take cover behind those sandbags."

You point to them when Lena joins you.

"Are you ready?"

She takes a deep breath a nods.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

With the added weight of the rocket launcher, Lena was far ahead of you. She would wait for you but you would just tell her to hurry up and get to the sandbags. If the tank noticed you, at least Lena would have a chance for some cover.

"How are we supposed to get rid of it?"

"Easy, you stay here and make sure no one tries to shoot me from behind while I try to take down the tank."

Lena gives the gun she was holding a wary look.

"But what if I shoot you? I've never used a gun in my life."

"Lena, you'll be fine. You're a fucking genius. Now lets do this think. I want to go back home."

"Okay, I'm ready."

You wait until she's in position to provide you cover and then you make a run for it to stand behind the tank. As you kneel to shoot at it, there's a shot heard from behind and you waited for the pain to come, only to realize that it wasn't meant to you. You turn around to find Lena had just shot one of the robots that had tried to take you out. Giving her a grateful smile, you turn back around to face the tank, realizing that it was turning to shoot at the two of you. You don't hesitate to press the trigger, causing a big explosion as the rocket hits the tank.

The world goes dark for a second and then you find yourself face to face with Supergirl

"Alex! She's a wake."

"Oh thank god, Director (last name). You had us worried."

"What happened?"

"We're still investigation but we're glad that you made it out alive."

"Ms. Luthor!"

Jess rushes to Lena when she sees her open her eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Ms. Luthor. I tried to turn off the simulation but I couldn't. Something was stopping me."

Lena just pats her shoulder and climbs out of the bed to make her way to the computers.

"It's not your fault Jess. Why don't you go home?"

"But Ms. Luthor.."

"Jess, go home. You need to rest and I need to figure out what happened."

"Yes, Ms. Luthor. Please give me a call if you need me back."

"I will. Now go."

Jess is reluctant to go but eventually does as Lena shoed her away.
