Chapter 4

I settle into my room and head into the living room. It's pretty dark and I check the clock, 12 am. I hear rustling in the kitchen and walk in to find Ymir. She doesn't look tired and she looks up at me when I walk in.

"Hey," She says before turning back to what she was doing. "I don't know if you remember me," I say and put on my straightest face. "Yeah I do, from 6th grade right?" She says and walks over to me with a glass of milk in hand. I step back a little and say "Yeah, 6th grade."

She smirks and stops two inches in front of me, just barely any distance between us. I want to back up but I decide not to back down. I close part of the distance between us and look her right into the the eye. "You're still mad aren't you? Don't worry I won't steal your new girlfriend, Sasha." Ymir says and leans in a little closer. I step back, flustered and confused. "She's not my girlfriend," I say as Ymir walks by with a smile. "Sure she isn't," Ymir says before walking up the stairs.

I clench my hands into fists and pretend to choke the air in anger. Ymir really knows just what buttons to hit to make me angry. Why does she always win? In 6th grade she won by getting the girl we both liked and now she has me flustered in confrontation. What the hell?!

I stand there in the kitchen for a couple of minutes to catch my cool then head off to bed.

The next day I get a tour of Sasha's house, the house is huge. There is even a pool, I should go swimming later. We learn that her parents are in Europe for the school year and her and her older brother just take care of themselves.

Music starts to play in the house and Sasha cheers. "My brother must be playing the piano," Sasha says and pulls me to dance with her. We dance and laugh at our weird moves when Ymir pulls me aside.

"Come on, Dance with me," Ymir says and takes my hand carefully into hers. She twirls me to the music and gently leads me around the room. She dips me and smirk down at me. "What?" I ask. "Nothing, you're just prettier than I remember," She answers and I roll my eyes. What a flirt.

I know what she is trying to do, trying to get under my skin, but it won't work. I pull myself up and take the lead from her and pull her closer. She smirks at me and pulls me dangerously even closer. "What are you trying Leonhart?" She says and I can't help but get flustered by her soft yet raspy voice.

Damn it.

I let her go and walk away to think. I have to annoy her but how? Then an idea pops into my head...I'll just out flirt her.

But with who?

"Hey guys, Did I miss my sister's party?" I hear and turn to the voice. You've got to be kidding me...It's the girl from 6th grade....
