7. Homecoming

A few hours later, most of the League had woken up and was clustered around the playground.

Y/N was lost in music with his eyes closed, listening with some fancy bluetooth headphones. Nobody really knew how he'd got them.

Dabi was pissed about being beaten by an old man, and Kurogiri was just plain annoyed that they'd been discovered. He was also the most tense of them all, insisting they would have to move out of the park before people started coming back from school and work.

None of them disturbed the two males sitting on the bench till Toga begged Compress to push her as hard as he could on the swings.

He reluctantly did as she asked, and the girl shrieked in joy as she let go of the swing's chains at the apex of the swing, flying right out of the seat.

Toga stretched out her hands like a bird, landing gracefully in a roll in front of Y/N.

The boy cracked his eye open. "Huh?"

Toga brushed her hands off, and Kurogiri snapped at her. "That's it, we're leaving."

"Why?!"

"We're drawing too much attention! If anybody sees us, we'll have heroes and police on us in seconds."

He took the headphones off Y/N's ears and tossed them in the boy's lap, simultaneously tapping Shigaraki on the head to wake him up.

"Where did you get those headphones anyway?"

Y/N grinned, like he was only just remembering. "Oh, I stole them from one of those houses." He gestured at a few vaguely.

"You stole them?" Most of the League looked at Y/N in surprise. He stole headphones just so he could listen to music?

Y/N tilted his head. "Do I need to repeat myself? Don't worry, I'll just leave them here."

He got up, putting the headphones on the bench he was sitting on, and looked around at his comrades.

"Aight, so where are we going?"

Kurogiri's eyes narrowed slightly. "I was planning to take us to a hideout - we must lay low for a few weeks."

Y/N shook his head. "I gotta complete my contracts. I've left them for too long." And I don't want the thoughts of them hanging over me.

"Go do that then. You can message us when you need to join us."

The boy thought for a bit. "I left my phone at the training camp, it's probably gone by now."

"Then we know your address as an alternative. We can visit sometime to check on you."

"Huh?!" Y/N paled slightly. "You know where I live?"

"Yes. Is that a problem?"

"How?"

Kurogiri just shrugged. "It's very surprising what you can do with a Search quirk."

Isn't that Ragdoll's quirk?

Oh right. She was missing at the training camp, wasn't she? So did they take her quirk? Or is it just a replica?

"Ok."

Y/N stood back as Kurogiri did some Doctor Strange hand motions, opening a portal mid air.

"We will visit in four days exactly. Please try to be at home."

Kurogiri entered without another word, Y/N giving an amused look at how fast he had left.

Spinner and Dabi left without speaking, and Compress held out his right hand for a handshake. "I wish you good luck on your quest."

"Uh." Y/N looked down at his useless right arm, and Compress switched hands quickly with an apology.

Compress gave him a firm handshake, and Twice embraced him, which was surprising considering he'd barely spoken to the weird man.

Toga gave a jaunty wave before jumping into the portal. "See you soon, Onii-san!"

Shigaraki was the only one left, still sitting on the bench. "Thank you for dragging me away."

Y/N could tell he found it hard to say those words, his lips tightening slightly. "No problem. Just keep safe."

The man looked like he wanted to say more, but decided against it, instead walking into the portal. "See you in four days."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Y/N watched as the portal dissolved into mist, and turned a full circle as he tried to find his location.

He headed for the skyscrapers in the middle of the city - his house was nearer to there than it was to the outer edge.

Also, if he came across anything he knew, then it would be an easy trip home.

The boy walked through the streets as he thought to himself. "I have still got six contracts to do: Eraserhead, Nezu, Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, and Suneater."

They all go to U.A, but that means attacking a school full of future and pro heroes.

Also, I don't know what has happened between All Might and All for One yet. So I'm not sure if there's going to be any changes to U.A or heroes in general.

Y/N turned a corner and realised what street he was on.

The main gates of U.A were just down the road, and on impulse, Y/N walked towards them.

He was still dressed in his cloak, and removed it so he would look less suspicious. A long sleeved shirt and cargo trousers was hardly out of place, so he left those on.

His weapon was a bit harder, but Y/N reshaped it into some weird looking ball, wrapping it in his cloak and tucking it under his arm.

Y/N stopped in front of the gates, staring up at the glass buildings for a second before he huffed, turning away.

"How do I get home from here..."

He pictured his usual route to school and took that in reverse, tracing his steps through the streets and holding his cloak under his arm.

He finally arrived at his alleyway, pressing on the brick wall at the back and entering his house.

It was a relief to be back, after more than a week away. "Wait, so there was the training camp first for a few days, then there was the villain hideout place. Yeah a long time away."

Y/N tossed his cloak and the dust ball onto the couch, taking off the boots he'd been given by Shigaraki and looking around the room.

His contract board was still there, and he crossed out X-Less, putting a small note under the important six contracts to complete them as soon as possible.

Y/N booted up his laptop and scrolled right to the news on heroes.

After a few articles about Midnight, Y/N found what he was looking for, from a few days ago.

"U.A High Announces it Will Become a Boarding School!"

Y/N rolled his eyes before reading on.

The famous school, U.A High, has just announced its intentions to become a boarding school. This is in order to protect its students, one of which was taken during a villain raid on U.A's supposedly secret training camp.

They have built a new housing complex behind the main school building named Heights Alliance. It is a fully functional luxury set of buildings, each one for a different class enrolling at U.A.

Y/N flicked off the article, finding a newer one.

All Might Defeats the Most Powerful Villain Yet!

The number one hero, All Might, went in a head-to-head duel against the most powerful villain the world has ever seen, named All for One.

This villain levelled twenty five large buildings in the city centre with one blow, twelve of which were residential buildings. Many casualties were taken, even though pro heroes and emergency response officers arrived on the scene in less than fifteen minutes.

"This isn't what I need to see." Y/N scrolled down past a few paragraphs till he found what he was looking for.

All Might suffered huge injuries, and has since retired from his work as a hero. The new number one hero is Endeavor. As for All for One, he has been imprisoned in Tartarus, a maximum security prison made specifically to contain the most powerful of villains.

"Damn, they didn't kill him?" Y/N opened a Word document as he thought about what to do next, making some quick notes.

Have to complete all contracts

Fast as possible one after the other

Try to get them alone

Monitor U.A live broadcasts/news

Alternative to break into U.A and get them during sleeping hours

Start with Suneater, then Nezu and Aizawa

Finish with the three Class 1-A students

Y/N sighed, closing the document and pacing around the room. "What the hell do I do now?"
