We've been running for what feels like forever, but it is probably just 20 minutes or so.

I want to collapse onto the ground to rest so badly, but I know if I do that, I'll not only be putting myself in danger, but Jungwon too.

I feel so cold since my clothes are soaked from the snow, and as we run the wind blows which makes it worse. But I feel bad for Jungwon, he's got nothing on but a pair of trousers and a white tunic shirt, since he lent his cloak to me to wear, he's probably freezing.

I lightly squeeze my hand that's around Jungwon's own, a frown painting my face as we continue to run for our life's.

It's been a while since we heard shouting from unfamiliar voices, so I can only assume that the groups of cloaked men had either taken the sneaky route to catch us, or we simply outran them.

I really hope the truth is the second option.

Not paying attention, I didn't notice Jungwon who suddenly stopped running, and I crash into his back with a groan.

"Sorry." I apologize while rubbing my nose with my palm.

I hear a giggle coming from the other, so I look up and meet his brown eyes that flash that familiar purple for a second, with a sheepish smile on my face.

"What?" I ask and he just stares at me with a small smile.

"Nothing" he says and looks down at our linked hands which I'm suddenly hyper aware of.

While looking at our hands linked together, I notice the trembling of Jungwon's own. Without a second thought, I remove my hand from his own and begin to take off the cloak that's around my torso.

"Wait, what are you doing?" the boy in front of me questions while putting his hand over the button I'm currently trying to unbutton.

"You're shaking Jungwon, you need to cover up, you need this a lot more than I do." I state as I brush off his hand and continue to unbutton the first button on the dark gray cloak I'm wearing. I stop with my actions when Jungwon pulls my hands away and I'm forced to look up at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Keep it on, you need to stay warm." he declares as he repositions it back to lay across my shoulders. I frown at him as he takes a step back from me and looks at the trees surrounding us.

"No really, I feel bad that you have nothing to cover up with, you're shaking, please take it." I insist and I'm about to attempt to take the cloak off again, but before I can do that, Jungwon suddenly pulls me forward by my hands, making me crash into his chest as I hear an echoing thud near my head.

With a heavy breath, surprised at the sudden action, I slowly turn around to see the cause of the noise. My heart drops to my feet as right next to my head, which would have gone straight through my head if Jungwon didn't save me, is a long arrow with a green feather attached near the bottom.

I quickly look to Jungwon with wide eyes as he wraps his hands around my torso, pushing us both down so we duck as another arrow hits the tree right above us.

"Quickly let's go, they've found us!" he shouts as he grabs my hand and stands up with me following behind as I scramble to get on my feet.

"Get to the portal, it's just right up ahead!" Jungwon yells and I respond with an "okay!" while trying to not trip on my own feet.

Up ahead I can see a clearing of trees that looks very familiar to me. As we keep running, we get closer to the clearing, and soon, we're out of the trees and into the open space.

Jungwon, with his free hand, quickly draws out a small dagger with a gold embroidered handle from his belt, which I had not noticed before.

He grabs my arm and pulls me behind himself when the noise of muffled rushed footsteps starts to move closer and closer.

We stand in the middle of the open space as Jungwon wields his small weapon. We wait with anxiously beating hearts as the footsteps continue to get closer to where we stand.

I pick up the noise of life from all around me, and I know that we've been surrounded. I start to turn in circles, trying to see if any movement catches my eye, but nothing.

I turn around to face what's behind me, getting startled when a figure runs out from the trees straight towards me. I let out a yelp and duck down as the figure runs right up next to me, but I sigh in relief and stand up again once I realize it's just Sunghoon. Jungwon turns around quickly at the sudden commotion with his dagger ready to fight in his hand, but he stops and just sighs while giving the other boy a tight hug.

"God, you almost scared me to death!" I shout at Sunghoon in an angry tone, I hate the feeling of being startled.

Sunghoon, ignoring my comment, turns to Jungwon sort of frantically. "I escaped without much harm, but their troops are coming our way. Tell me, they didn't see her right?" he asks hopefully while Jungwon looks at me with a weird look in his eyes.

"You know I have a name, right?" I utter annoyed, as the two of them look back at each other.

"I'm not sure." Jungwon simply responds to Sunghoon and looks down while he fiddles with his wet sleeves.

Sunghoon starts to pace around in a small circle while rubbing his palms across his face. "Well, I guess we'll find out soon then, huh?" he utters, and I frown.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I question carefully with my lips pursed and watch as the two boys in front of me share a brief look at each other.

"Hello, will someone please answer me!" I shout as I roll my eyes and cross my arms in frustration at being ignored.

Jungwon looks at me carefully, He steps towards me as he takes my hand. "I know it's hard to understand what's happening, but those cloaked men who are chasing us, they want to hurt me." he begins while carefully looking into my eyes. "And if they know you're here, an earthling, they'll want to hurt you too." he reveals, and I look at him with a confused expression.

As I'm about to speak, he quickly cuts me off when a distant noise can be heard.

"The portal, I need to make the portal now."
