I climb down the ladder and stand on the grass. I hold on to the ladder. "Come on!" I say to him.

"Coming wait. I'm trying not to die!" He says.

He finally comes down and I hi five him.

"Let's go get the Starbucks and come back." I say.

"OK. But should we take Olivia and Alex as well?" He asks.

"Yeah. Send them a text." I say quickly.

"Ok." He takes his phone out of his pocket and starts to type quick.

"Now can we go?" I ask.

"Yep." He says, putting his phone back in his pocket and walking with me.

"I can't believe you're doing this." He says.

"Um, well, I did have the guts to jump on Evelyn and get my phone taken away twice on the same day! I think I can handle sneaking to Starbucks, and besides, Joe's got me covered." I say.

"And how did you get him to do that?" He asks.

"He's Joe." I say.

"Oh yeah." He says.

I roll my eyes and I see that we are already there. I open the door and get a burst of warmth.

We go in and wait in the queue. While we were talking and waiting, Olivia and Alex walk in. "Hey!" They say.

"Hi. Can you guys save the seats over there? What do you guys want?" I ask.

"Um I'll have a caramel latte." Olivia says.

"I'll have Cappuccino." Alex says.

"Louis you can join them." I say.

"Ok. I'll have a Caramel macchiato." He says.

"K." I say.

They go and sit down and I place my order. "One caramel latte, one cappuccino, one caramel macchiato and one white chocolate mocha." I say.

"Take away?" He asks.

"Nope." I say.

"That'll be £5." He says.

I take a £5 bill and give it to him.

"The coffees will be at your table in a few minutes." He says.

"Please can you make it quick? Im in quite a rush." I say.

"Sure ma'am. Say, you look familiar..." He says, squinting his eyes.

Not here as well! "Um, you must be mistaken." I say, walking towards the table where the others were.

That was way too close.

I take a seat next to Alex. "The coffee will be here soon." I say.

"Ok cool." Olivia says.

"So, aren't you grounded?" Alex asks.

"Yup." I say.

"Then how are you here?" Olivia asks.

"She climbed out of the window." Louis says.

"She is isn't that stupid to do that!" Alex says, looking at me.

He doesn't say anything when he looks at me. "Oh. You're serious." He says.

A waiter comes to our table with a tray of four coffee cups. "You're coffee." She says, putting them down on our table.

"Thank you." I say.

"You're welcome." She says, walking away.

I take my coffee and take a sip. "Oww! That's hot!" I say, panting.

"Well done genius!" Louis says, sarcastically.

We continue chatting and drinking our Starbucks. I look at my watch. Its 6:53 pm. Oh my God! I have to go back within two minutes! "Um, guys? I got to go! I'll see you in school tomorrow." I say.

"Where are you going?" Alex asks.

"Home!" I say, getting up and running.

At this point, being part of the girls soccer team really helps. I reach the backyard at 6:55. I climb up the ladder and see that the window is still open.

I carefully climb up and get in. I hear my mum's footsteps. "Joe! I need to check on Eleanor!" I hear her yell.

I take off my sneakers, unlock the door and grab my book.

I sit on the bed and open the book. There is then, a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I yell.

My mum comes in and looks around. "Yeah mum?" I ask.

"Oh nothing, I just came to check on you." She says.

Joe who was behind her gave me a thumbs up. I smile. "Everything is good." I say.

"Okay." She says, turning around and shutting the door behind her.

I give out a sigh of relief. That was waaaaayyyy too close!
