Chapter 6

^^^ This picture has nothing to do with the chapter, but I just found it hilarious.

Papyrus blinked his eyes slowly. At first, he had no idea where he was, but in a moment it clicked. He had spent the night with Mettaton.

It was dark inside the pillow fort, and it took a while for his eyes to adjust. From somewhere close by, (really close), there was a robotic sigh. That was right; he had forgotten that Mettaton was there, too.

Papyrus could see clearly by now and noticed that Mettaton was asleep, yet still clinging onto him. The skeleton cautiously began to pry his fingers from his arm, but... They wouldn't come loose.

"Up so early, darling?" Mettaton purred. Papyrus flinched in surprise.

"Y-Yes, Mettaton!" He responded somewhat casually. "The Great Papyrus always wakes up early to begin his d-duties!"

Mettaton tilted his head curiously. "Duties? Like what?"

Papyrus was silent for a moment, thinking. Duties... "Oh! L-Like waking up my brother!"

"You're not leaving so soon, are you, Papy?" Mettaton gave a whimper of protest. "We haven't even had breakfast yet!"

Breakfast... Breakfast means spaghetti!

"You're absolutely right, Mettaton!" Papyrus gasped. "We still have that unfinished spaghetti from that first time I came over!"

Mettaton's face went blank. He didn't want to remember his previous experience with Papyrus's spaghetti. "Y-You can have the spaghetti, darling, I... I'm a robot, I don't eat much."

"In that case, I'll just check on Sans now!" Papyrus quickly sat up. "What will he ever do without such a cool guy to take care of him?"

Mettaton sighed. "Alright, Papyrus, you go on ahead. Blooky will be up soon, anyway."

Papyrus crawled out of the tent, with Mettaton following him. They both squinted against the light. Once they had gotten up, Papyrus began to head for the door.

"Wait, Papyrus!" Mettaton put a hand on his shoulder. "Aren't you going to say goodbye?"

Papyrus turned to face him. "I-I'm sorry, Mettaton! I was in such a hurry, I really should've-" The robot began to giggle.

"What is it?" Papyrus questioned him. Mettaton shook his head, covering his mouth with one hand.

"It's nothing, gorgeous!" He stepped closer. "I'll see you soon, won't I~?" Mettaton gave him a light peck on the cheek.

Papyrus nodded, beginning to blush. "Of course!" He caught him by surprise and wrapped his bony arms around him. They both lost balance and tumbled onto the carpet, lost in a fit of laughter.

"S-Sorry about that, Mettaton.." Papyrus apologized quickly.

Mettaton shook his head instantly. "No, no! You did nothing wrong, darling. I'm glad we've had this moment together." He stuck out his tongue playfully.

Papyrus brought himself to his knees. "I guess I'll see you later? I-I mean, if Sans is fine with it."

Mettaton nodded. "I promise you will, no matter what." They both stood up. Papyrus stepped over to the door, waved, and walked out.

Tiiimeskiiip... (A very short one)

The rain had finally stopped; everything outside was even beginning to dry. As a result, Papyrus had no use of his umbrella. He had simply walked from one yard to the next.

He appeared at the door and let himself in. Papyrus noticed the house was silent... Almost too silent. Sans is probably still sleeping.

Suddenly, there was a flash of blue right in front of him. There was no need to wake up his brother, now.

"Wowie, Sans!" Papyrus marveled at his brother. "You're awake at nine in the morning!"

Sans stared up at Papyrus. "So that's where you've been off to." He wasn't even meeting him directly in the eyes. It was as if he was inspecting his whole face.

Papyrus quickly got the message. "You haven't been teleporting again, have you, brother?" He scowled.

Surprisingly, Sans shook his head. "I suggest you take a look in the mirror." Was that a tint of humor in his voice?

The younger brother stomped upstairs and headed for the bathroom. He gasped in surprise at what he saw in his reflection.

There were bright pink and black kiss marks all over his face.

"Well then." Papyrus blankly stared into the mirror.

Hiya, Rainie here! Sorry for the short chapter. The next part is where things get a bit suspenseful! PREPARE YOURSELVES!!
