I sat near the banks of a small pond in Onibus, a small town near Magnolia. "Sis" I hear. I turned around. It was Larcade.
The last time I saw my half brother was 100 years ago at this same pond.. well, the pond was a lake back then. I bumped into him looking at his mother behind some bushes , Mavis Vermillion. Larcade was younger, he didn't have immortality like me. We could sense our connection really fast and I learnt about my half brother. He hated our father because what he witnessed is his mother dying. She died by the curse. Our father killed her. SO, we found out about Alvarez, the country next to Fiore and our fathers plan and decided to infiltrate. Larcade would go and serve his father and I would look over Fairy Tail throughout the years. The last thing my half brother said was,
"My mother believed that bonds is what makes people stronger. Fairy Tail could change the world and can defeat our father, but it will take years for them to be ready. Till then we have to wait. In 100 years time we shall cross paths again sis." And he disappeared into the light.
As I look at my brother now, he's older and stronger. I haven't changed. We stare at each other.
"It's been a while," he says.
"It has. You've changed." I say back.
"You haven't." He laughs.
I laugh back.
"I got the immortality a few years after we first met. I'm immortal now. I haven't changed in so many years." Larcade says.
My eyes widen. But then they went back to normal. Of course he would get it. Both his parents had it. He probably doesn't have Ankhseram for the gene probably crossed each other out.
"How's Alvarez? How's father?" I ask.
Larcade sits down. "Before I talk. I rushed here because Fairy Tail have been missing for 7 years. Father heard of it. He saw Natsu. He left the kingdom and visited my mothers grave at Tenrou Island and encountered them. He said Acnologia came..."
"They are back. Your mother saved them and the island. I couldn't do much about it because somehow this time the island had a barrier in which I couldn't pass," I say.
"What do you mean my mother saved them," Larcade says wide eyed. "She's dead."
"Well I overheard but Mavis's ghost saved them. The guild members are the only ones that can see her but I saw a glimpse of her magic to believe that she's there," I say.
Larcade's face turns dark, "I want to meet her, but knowing she cant be seen.. I wont be able too won't I? She doesn't even know I exist anyway and her family at Fairy Tail is more precious. She resents father I believe."
Larcade gets up.
"Cirki, our paths will divide now," He states.
I get up. "What do you mean?" I say.
"Our father wants my mother back. That's his plan. That's why he is now the king of Alvarez. I serve him and I was informed of his plan-"
"How the heck is that possible, RESURRECTING your mom?" I get up.
"Sis, he did it to Uncle Natsu. Anyways Mavis's Body isn't at her grave he knows that"
My eyes widen in shock. "Father knows about Lumen Histoire." Is the only thing I could say. What else would I think father's plan is after I heard Larcade's words. "He wants it?"
Larcade nods his head. "He just want my mom back. He isn't bad."
"What the heck are you thinking, Lumen Histoire isn't something he should hav-"
I stop. Larcade face was defensive. He was hopeless. He truly believes His father wants to get back with his Mother. Lumen Histoire is a weapon that can destroy. Larcade has mistaken our fathers intentions. "What about my mother huh? I say, "She died 400 years ago by our father. What makes you think he wants Mavis?"
"Your mother died giving birth to you. Father told me that. He believes you are dead. I didn't mention you were still alive. You're going to die soon..."
"...and you believe father. You weren't here 400 years ago. You didn't EXIST. And I cant die, I'm immortal. What is wrong with you? You changed," I say.
"Once Father hears about you and Fairy Tail's hidden secret about them hiding Lumen Histoire, he's going to come kill you all. Alvarez has gotten stronger the past 100 years. We have our own elite like the Wizard Saints and I'm going to be one of them."
I was taken back. "What. Happened. To. You?"
We stare at each other in silence. Larcade's face has gotten less happy and more evil, I recognize. Larcade meant every word.
"Goodbye, sis," he says as he walks back into the shadows.
I stare at the spot he once was 100 years ago. He was full of determination as I was, in taking revenge on father but now today he's the opposite. Time changes people and things around you. This is immortality.
