Big Time School Of Roque: Part II

Before Persephone knew it, she was sitting in the recording studio in between James and Kendall with Logan and Carlos standing behind them. Each had a set of headphones on, listening to the man on the other side of the glass sing a knock off version of the guys' song. The girl had her head down and face to the controls, trying to hide the fact that that her face was filled with amusement as she tried not to laugh. The boys around her were cheering on the man as he finished up.

It's the only life ya got,
So you gotta live it big time

In attempting to end in a cool pose, he tripped over his own feet and fell to the ground. Persephone winced for him as she pulled out the newly recorded demo, and put it in a case while the guys ran into the recording booth with the man's belongings in hand. She walked to the other side of the glass to join them and held out the CD to the man, "Here's your super hot demo." He took the demo out of her hands and brought it to his lips.

Here's your briefcase." Carlos held out the bag to the man.

"Yes!" He shouted in excitement.

"Abd here's one Travelmoose.net one way ticket to Dusseldorf." Logan handed the man the ticket as the rest shot him a thumbs up.

He looked down at the belongings I'm his hands in appreciation, "What can I say except..." He bent down to pick up the rest of his bags, "Auf wiedersehen!" And with that, he took off in the direction of the exit as the teens smiled to each other in victory.

Kendall laughed and wrapped his arm around Persephone's shoulders, giving her a slight squeeze as a thank you, "Ok, now to tell Gustavo our teacher bailed, and we need to go to the Palm Woods School-" As the group turned around, they screamed as they saw Kelly and Gustsvo standing in front of them.

"Of course you can go there." Their teacher spoke sarcastically, "Now that your teacher is off to Germany, there's really no other option except- KELLY, GET THEM A NEW TEACHER!" Someone untrickable." He whipped off his sunglasses for dramatic affect, then rushed away. The boys were left with frowns on their faces. Persephone wrapped her arm around Kendall's waist, gave a pat to James' shoulder, and a smile to the boys behind her in reassurance.

"Man, we were so close." Carlos pouted and rested his head on Persephone's shoulder as she let go of James and patted her other friend on the head in sympathy.

"No you weren't." Kelly retorted, spinning on her heel and walking away to call a new teacher for the guys.

********************************

Not too long after. The boys were back in the supply closet with their new teacher standing in front of them: Mrs. Chisdak, who gave off the same energy as the Wicked Witch of the West. The guys had Persephone working on a new plan, knowing they'd owe her after for making her skip class to help bail them out. Though, the girl had to admit, she'd been having more fun than she had in years.

"So, you didn't like your first teacher? Well I didn't like him either. The moment he felt the heat, he ran for cover. But me? I'm battle-tested." She stood in front of Carlos and Kendall with a ruler in her hand, making Carlos a little jumpy, "I have a black belt and Ik not afraid to hit you with it. And there is nothing, NOTHING, you can say or do to get me to leave."

Just on time, Persephone opened the closet door with keys in hand, "Here's the keys to the Porche out front." She may or may not have snuck into Gustavo's office with the key she copied from the original, and stole the keys to his car. Kendall and James looked at her with adorable smiles, and Logan and Carlos discreetly gave each other a high five, "Leave now and it's yours." She jingles the keys a little, waiting for the woman to take the bait.

Not five minutes later, Gustavo walked put of his office, patting his pockets down looking for the missing item, "Kelly! Have you seen the keys to my-" He was cut off with a horrified look on his face as an engine revved, followed by the sound of tires squealing. He let out a furious scream that the boys and Persephone heard from the supply closet. Persephone was sitting on the Kendall's desk, facing the back of the room so she could talk to James as the guys worked on stuff from their textbooks. The group of five looked towards the door when they heard the all too familiar scream they knew was Gustavo's, laughing in amusement.

The door swung open to reveal Kelly on the other side, "You know he's not gonna give up."

"Kelly," Persephone leaned back on her hands, still sitting on Kendall's table, so the woman could see him while he talked, "A proper education is very important to us, and this is a supply closet!" The guys nodded and pointed to him to show they agreed.

"Attention, students. Please report to Principal Roque's office. All students to Principal Roque's office." A voice filled the room that didn't belong to Kelly, Persephone, or the guys.

"Since when did he have a loud speaker installed?" Persephone had a look of disbelief on her face. She couldn't believe her boss sometimes.

********************************

The boys sat across from Gustavo in his makeshift Principal's office. The older man had a small name tag on his desk that read his name, and a dress shirt and tie with glasses to seem professional. Persephone stood behind the boys and Kelly stood behind Gustavo. The man was sharpening  pencil by hand, glaring into the boys' souls. Getting annoyed, Kelly snatched the sharpener from the dest and held it in front of her while Gustavo threw the pencil on the ground, "Boys, I care about you. I do. And I would like to tell you a story from my youth. My principal was a jerk. And I vowed that someday I would be a principal; a good one. Fair. Pleasant."

"But you're none of those things." Carlos leaned forward to inform their boss.

"Hey! Things don't always work out! Bottom line is, you boys are staying in the School of Roque. End of story."

"But, Gustavo-" Kendall was cut off by Gustavo tapping the sign on his desk, "Principal Roque. It's just this school isn't meeting our social and educational needs. We need to go somewhere that feels like a real school."

"With girls." James looked at Persephone and winked before looking back at Gustavo with serious expression on his face. The girl rolled her eyes playfully and let out a quiet scoff.

"And field trips." Logan added.

"And pie!" Carlos finished. Persephone smiled at how innocent the boy was.

"You go to my school, you play by my rules. And I will find a teacher that will enforce those rules. A W.W.E. Superstar, super teacher!"

Persephone looked concerned, not liking the hint of seriousness in his voice while the guys on the other hand, were laughing, "Who are you gonna get? Chris 'The Masterpiece' Masters?" Kendall was obviously joking.

"Don't give him any ideas." Persephone muttered to herself.

********************************

Unfortunately, Persephone couldn't be of service the next few days. She had her own studies to tend to as the guys struggled with their own. On her way to class with the Jennifers, she saw the boys in the middle of a daydream, once again. She sighed and clapped in front of their faces to snap them out of it, "Are you guys ok?" Persephone glanced down at their arms that were almost completely limp, and their legs were wobbling slightly, struggling to hold them up.

When they all opened their mouths, ready to explain, she was called outside for class by the Jennifers. She apologized to the four boys and walked to meet her friends outside by the pool.

"Come on. You're gonna be late for school." They hadn't noticed when Kelly arrived, but she was rushing them to get in the car to head to school.

"Mine had globe beach balls and Pers- girls. It had girls." Kendall's face was covered in red, blushing. Nothing that anybody had noticed. Well, except for James.

"Mine had pool pie." Carlos innocently admitted.

"Mine had a low student-teacher ratio." Logan sighed dreamily.

"But how are we gonn get rid of Mr. Masterpiece? James wondered aloud.

"My mom packed us corn chowder for lunch today, right?" Kendall had a sly smirk on his face as the all held up their brown paper bags with the lunch Kendall's mom packed for them. Logan, James, and Carlos smiled at their friend, mentally putting a plan in motion.

Later that day, in the middle of math class, dipping her feet in the Palm Woods pool, Persephone got a text from Kendall.

K- Well we can say goodbye to the Palm Woods school. Gustavo has a book of teachers he has on stand-by. There's too many.

P- Do you mean the ASPA Registry book?

K- How'd you know?

When Persephone went to school at Rock Records, the rule book was pulled on her many times. She had it memorized page by page.

P- Long story. For now, all you need to know is that it has every rule the School of Roque has to follow. Knowing Gustavo, he isn't following any. If you want this plan to work, use the book  to your advantage.

K- Percy, you're the best. We owe you one.

P- You owe me plenty.

Persephone pocketed her phone before she got caught, unsure of why she couldn't seem to wipe the smile off her face, but not minding at all.

Persephone Fox was many things, but a cheerleader was not one of them. When Kendall stopped by her apartment the night before and said he had a huge favor to ask, the girl already knew she was in for it. But when he pulled out a cheer uniform and a set of pom poms, to say she was less than thrilled was an understatement. Regardless, not questioning how they got their hands on uniforms such short notice, she knew how much it meant to the guys, and that's why she was standing in a makeshift basketball court the next day dressed in the uniform with the poms in her hands. They were maroon and silver to represent the colors Carlos, Logan, James, and Kendall picked as their school colors. She had a uniform and bow with corresponding colors, with her hair half up, half down, as the bow rested in the back.

The guys were losing, and decided to take a water break to refuel. Persephone was happy to see Kelly walk in with a team shirt on and poms of her own. The two talked until the boys returned with Gustavo hot on their trail. Persephone ruffled her poms together as a way of clapping for her friends and paused to wave at Gustavo with a smug look on her face. The man's gaze landed in the woman next to her who was also cheering the guys on.

"Hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Persephone held a pom back for a high five as Kelly brought her pom to meet the girl's. The last quarter continued while Gustavo got pushed around by both teams, ending up on the floor. When the team of Hopeless Housewives went to dunk the basketball, the hoop tipped over, and along with on of the women, landed directly on a drum set, breaking instantly. Persephone winced and looked at the final score. 64-5.

Gustavo let out a furious scream as Kendall and the guys walked to him and helped him up. When the man was back on his feet, Kendall spoke, "Sorry, Gustavo. We'll get 'em next time."

To say Gustavo looked like he was gonna explode was an understatement, "Principal's office, NOW!"

********************************

Soon enough, the adults and teenagers were back in Gustavo's office. Kelly standing behind Gustavo who was sitting at his desk, and Persephone standing behind James and Kendall as the guys were seated in front of the desk, "I am the Principal of the school and I do not give into demands and hooliganistic tactics don't scare me! Sabotage? Shmoobatage! You. Cannot. Beat. Me." He waved his ruler like a madman, "Now what you've done here cannot and will not go unpunished. Which is why I hereby EXPEL YOU!"

"What does that mean?" James leaned forward in confusion.

"It means you're hereby kicked out of the School of Roque!" Gustavo stood up and pointed to the door with his ruler, "Now get out! Go on. Move it!" The boys left the room and Persephone walked out behind them, closing the door behind her. The five pressed their backs to the wall that closed in the man's office, eavesdropping on the rest of the conversation.

"Ugh, it wasn't easy, but they needed to be disciplined." Gustavo leaned back in his chair, feing accomplished, not realizing what this meant in terms of the guys' schooling situation.

Kelly was now standing on the other side of his desk in front of him, "So from now on I'll pick the guys up from the Pal Woods school and bring them here by 12:30 with Persephone."

Gustavo took a second and mentally caught up with what he had done, "Yep."

Outside the office, the five teenagers cheered in celebration, bringing each other into a group hug, excited to finally get to go to the same school together. Kelly smiled at how happy they sounded, playfully rolling her eyes as the cheering continued, not stopping for a second.

********************************

The next morning before school, Persephone, Kendall, James, Logan, Carlos, and Katie were watching Katie's new commercial for laundry detergent. Mama Knight was advertising the product as Katie was violently shoving a kid into the dirt in the background.

If Persephone was being honest, she couldn't be more proud of the younger girl, "Nice job, Kay." Persephone praised, as she used the new nickname she came up with for the girl. She wrapped her arm around Katie's shoulders, pulling her into a side hug.

"I am loving this town."

"So am I." Bitters stood in front of them with a stack of money in his hands, sunglasses, gold chains around his neck, and a fur coat wrapped around him. Persephone rolled her eyes as the bell rang.

The group started walking to their classroom, Persephone and Kaite walking in front as Persephone still had her arm around the girl's shoulders, and Katie had hers wrapped around Persephone's waist.

"Ya know, I think we should play basketball more often. Get Percy to try out that new uniform more often. You looked hot. I personally would love to see you in it more." James flirted.

"In your dreams." Persephone sassed.

"You got that right."

Persephone scoffed, "It was a one time deal. Besides, hockey is more my league."

"See? We have so much in com- wait, what?!" Kendall nor Persephone told the others about her father or her team. The girl made a mental note to discuss the topic another time as they walked into class, finding a seat. Persephone sat on the other side of the Jennifers and Katie sat next to her. Kendall, James, Logan, and Carlos found seats behind them.

"Hello, ladies." Carlos leaned forward to poke his head in between two of the Jennifers, and Persephone playfully rolled her eyes, a smirk finding  way onto her face as class started.

"Ok class, let's start with science, where we're gonna talk about water displacement." Before their teacher could get another word out, the four overgrown toddlers grabbed water guns and pies from inside their desks and started spraying water everywhere. Persephone watched with an amused smirk as the boys realized they were the only ones playing around and stopped what they were doing. The teacher crossed her arms and glared at the boys. Most of the class followed her actions.

"This class was much more fun in our fantasies, wasn't it?" Carlos wondered aloud.

"Yep." His friends answered in unison, the smiles dropping from their faces. Persephone quietly laughed and turned to face the front of the classroom, a look a amusement never leaving her face as she thought of the childish teenage boys she couldn't be happier to call her friends.
