They Don't Know [Chapter 18]

"Ugh..." Jack moaned with a small yawn, as he felt the sunlight from outside start to glisten through the glass bedroom windows. He smiled a little, feeling someone's strong arms wrapped right around him. He turned over to see Mark, who was starting to awaken too.

"I love waking up next to you..." Jack whispered, snuggling into Mark's chest, who pulled him closer after he did, with a small grin on his face.

"Same here... Morning, Jack." Mark answered, before blinking a few times to properly open his eyes up to be able to focus on Jack. "Your bed is so comfy."

"Haha, I'm glad you think so." Jack said, as he looked towards the window. "I'm glad the weather is nice too. We can actually spend some time outside together. I can show you around."

"I'd love that." Mark agreed. "But first, let's be lazy and stay in bed for a little longer."

Jack giggled and happily nodded without protest. "Sure thing, Mark."

------

It was nice to have someone else around in Ireland to actually be able to walk around and talk to. Even as just friends, Jack would have loved this experience with Mark, more than anything.

"Pikachu! I choose you!" Mark shouted, picking up a small rock and throwing it at a short, nearby grassy hill. Jack grinned, remembering doing something like that for one of his Pokemon Go videos. In fact, as he recalled, this is where he was for that same video, when he just spent a lot of his time dicking around by rolling around on the grass. That was a fun video to make, good times.

"Hey, maybe this will be a good place to record a vlog so I can upload it to YouTube so people will be aware that I won't be very active for the next few days." Mark said, deciding to sit on the hill. With a shrug, Jack walked over and happily sat down next to him, as Mark brought out his phone and pressed the record button for his camera.

"Hello everybody, my name is Markiplier and I am here with... Jackaboy! Say hi, Jack." Mark grinned, pointing the camera from himself to Jack. Jack smiled and waved.

"Hey guys! Uh, top of the mornin' to ya laddies!" He paused and looked at Mark. "Did I do good?" He joked. Mark chuckled and glanced back at the camera.

"Sure." He said, causing the both of them to giggle a little. "Anyway," Mark continued. "A lot of you are probably wondering as to why I am here with Jack, and not in my own recording room - as you can see with all this green behind me. I'm actually in Ireland. And that is because, there were flight compilations that just stressed me out and drove me crazy, and I didn't really feel up to spending the day and night alone in some stingy hotel room. Sooo..." He shrugged and looked to Jack, then back at the camera. "I'm in Ireland... I guess..."

"I bet so much fanfiction is just going to come out of this one moment." Jack laughed.

"Oh wow." Jack grinned. "Anyway, so now you guys know where I'll be. Maybe I'll try to record something while we're at Jack's, if he's cool with that... But for now... I don't know." He paused. "Anyway, thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you, in the next video. Bub-bye!" He said, finishing off his outro, before pressing the stop record button on the camera.

"Nice. Oh, and by the way, if you do want to record any videos at my house, you're more than welcome to." Jack said.

"Really? Thanks Jack." Mark answered. "I don't really think that this video will require much editing, so I could probably literally just upload it to YouTube. It is a vlog, after all."

So, just like that, Mark decided to upload the video onto YouTube, and it wasn't long before responses started to come through.

As usual, and as expected, there were those stupid comments that said "first" or said something like "early squad". But the longer the video was up, the more comments that started to come along.

A lot of people were obviously excited to see that they were hanging out. There were people who were saying that if this was like a type of break, then he should take that opportunity. Especially after PAX.

But anyway, it seemed to have gone well, and no one really seemed to be pissed or confused as to why he chose to go to Ireland with Jack, rather than working on his YouTube channel.

"At least people have seemed to take it well." Jack said, picking himself up off the ground.

"Yeah, well, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Wonder how things will go when we really tell people the truth."

Jack frowned. Slowly, he turned around to face Mark.

"I really don't know how people will react, Mark. I just hope that people do take it well." He admitted.

"Yeah, well... guess we'll find out someday, eh?" Mark said, also getting up off of the floor before starting to walk alongside Jack to head back to his house.

For some reason, the walk home was pretty silent. But Jack just guessed that was because not only was he lost in his own thoughts, but Mark too. He was sure they were both thinking the same thing.

Should they tell them?

Were they ready to tell them?

Jack had to admit, it was starting to feel more like he had to tell because of the pressure, over everything else. He hated keeping secrets from his fans, and he hated lying to them. Sure, it was kind of personal business, but at the same time, it really wasn't.

It was about him and Mark. People were just waiting for them to end up together, and it probably just utterly bugged them because they felt like both Mark and Jack were just hiding something, and boy - were they right.

Jack was ready to open his mouth to talk. To just get it out and ask Mark if maybe telling their fans the truth was just the right thing to do.

However, before he could speak, they were both suddenly stopped by a random girl on the sidewalk. She had brown hair, with bright blue eyes and looked probably around the same age as both Mark and Jack. They both rose their eyebrows in confusion.

"Hi! Sorry to just intrude on your day like this, but aren't you Markiplier?" She wondered, pointing at Mark. He slowly nodded, causing her face to hugely light up with glee. "Ohmygosh! You are! I'm such a huge fan!" She cried, seeming to practically drawl all over Mark as she leaned forward intently.

Jack stood, feeling a little awkward and ignored, as if he was a ghost. Especially with this random girl just appearing out of nowhere, only to be here so she could go and flirt with Mark.

Sure, she thought he wasn't taken, so he didn't really blame her, but still.

"Uh, yeah. Listen, I'm all for meeting fans but right now I'm just kind of having a break and hanging out with my friend, Jack, here. But don't get me wrong, it's really nice to meet you." He smiled.

"O-Oh, right! S-Sorry! I didn't mean to get in the way, but even so, it was nice meeting you!"

Eventually, both Mark and Jack were able to start on their journey back to the house again, without being met with anymore flirty fangirls. The more Jack thought about it, maybe he was a little jealous.

"Hey, Mark... Listen... About what happened back there..."

"I think we should just get it out." Mark said, beating him to it. Jack's eyes widened.

"Y-You do?" Jack questioned, causing Mark to pull him close into a hug.

"Yeah... It's true that maybe I'm not completely ready but... At the same time, I don't like having to put up with this act - letting people think they have a chance with me by flirting and drawling all over me like that... When I already have you..."

"Oh, Mark..." Jack sighed.

There was a small pause, before Jack started to nod. "Alright.... Let's do it... Let's get it out."
