On there way to platform nine and three quarters James Potter and Marlene McKinnon meat up with each other. Marlene and James had been practically brother and sister there whole life, forced at first by there mothers who were close friends of each other, but later they grew a fondness for each other and begged to see one another.

Marlene was a sister of four brothers all there names started with a M, weird but understandable. Marlene was the fifth child to be born her oldest brothers name was Mason, next after Mason was Mitchell, after Mitchell was Mathew, and before Marlene was Maxwell. Mason was a seventh year, with Mitchell following he was a sixth year, after Michell was Mathew who was a fourth year, and before Marlene was Maxwell a third year, with Marlene last she was a first year.

James tho was a only child he spent his time out in town or at home causing mischief. His father and mother spent there time working so he would spend time with the McKinnon if there parents were not working. James had Marlenes brothers teach him a few spells to mess with Marlene. And this was going to be his first year at school.

"James we are going to school" Marlene said in excitement. "Yes we all know that Marlene talk about something else that is not that" Maxwell said as he passed by Marlene and James. "Why does he have to be so annoying sometimes" Marlene said as she looked over at James. "I don't know, why are you looking at me" James said as he shrugged. "Well it is still so amazing" Marlene said with the biggest smile on my face. Marlenes and James parents stopped them before walking threw the wall and had them walk in after the older kids and there parents helped Marlene and James pass threw. James and Marlene were mesmerized by the train, how close they were to going to school was mad to them. "Bye mum bye dad" Marlene said as she ran to hop on the train. Later when the train was about to depart Marlene and James split up to find new friends but said they would meet up at some point to check on each other.

Marlene came upon a carriage witch had two girls, they both were brunettes, one with a bob, and one with a ponytail. Marlene knocked on the carriages door then opened it. "May I sit with you two" Marlene said in a hopeful voice. "Sure" Alice said happily. Marlene sat across from the two girls. "Hi I am Alice Fortescue" the one with the bob said with a big smile on her face. "I am Mary Macdonald" the girl with the ponytail said. "I am Marlene McKinnon" Marlene said as she put her hand out to shake the two others hand. "What a pretty name Marlene" Alice said happily. "Well thank you" Marlene said happily. "Oh are you a first year" Alice said so happy. Alice and Marlene chatted for a while.

When Marlene and James went separate ways James found himself in a carriage with a boy who had long black hair with grey eyes. "Hello may I take a seat" James said as he walked into the carriage. "Sure take a seat" the boy said with a smirk on his face. "I am James Potter" James said as he took a seat next to the boy and reached his hand out to shake with the other boy. "I am Sirius... Black" Sirius said with a frown on his face. "Black like that rich family" James said in shock. "Yes but I don't stand by my family at all" Sirius said with a frown on his face. "Well you must be fun to be around" James said making Sirius smile. After a while two other boys joined Sirius and James. "Hello I am James, and this is Sirius" James said with a smile on his face. "I am Remus Lupin" Remus said as he shook hands with both boys. "I am Peter Pettigrew" Peter said as he took a seat across from James. The boys talked for a while.

"I am going to go and meet other kids" Alice said as she left the carriage. "I got to go" Marlene said as she left the carriage following Alice. Marlene went to go find James, and at some point she found him with three other boys. "Marlene" James said as Marlene knocked on the carriage door. "Who is Marlene" Remus asked before James opened the door. "She is practically my sister" James said as he opened the door. "Hello Jamsie" Marlene said with a smile on her face trying to embarrass James. "Hello Mar" James said with a big smile on his face. "Oh sorry hello I am Marlene McKinnon" the boys sat straight up when they noticed Marlene was talking to them. "I am Remus Lupin" Remus said reaching his hand out to shake. "Nice to meet you Remus" Marlene said as she shook Remus hand. "I am Sirius..... Black" Sirius said quietly. "Like the-" Marlene went to say but Sirius cut her off. "I just want to say I am nothing like my family, and I am so sorry about what they did to yours" Sirius said in sorrow. "It is fine I don't blame you" Marlene said in a response with a smile on her face Sirius looked away after she had said that. "And you are" Marlene said gesturing towards Peter. "Peter pe-tt-tt-igrew" Peter said stuttering. "Well nice to meet you" Marlene said taking a seat with James. Marlene fell asleep at some point after talking to the boys for a bit. "Marlene wake up we have to put on our robs before we get to the school" James said taping Marlene on the shoulder, Marlene jumped when she finally woke up. "Finally" Remus said looking at Marlene with a smile on his face. "Shut it" Marlene said as James grabbed her hand took her to a separate carriage so she could change into her rob. "Come on we don't have forever Mar" James fussed as Marlene changed. "Finished" Marlene said with a smile on her face. "Great now lets head back to the boys" James said as he dragged Marlene along with him. "Look who is back" Sirius said laughing. "Why are you laughing" Marlene said in a stern voice looking at Sirius with her eyebrows raised. "Nothing" Sirius said trying not to laugh but could not help it, and Marlene rolled her eyes. "Marlene come here, come and look" Alice said bursting in. "Ok coming" Marlene said following Alice, the boys also followed to see what Alice was talking about. When they got to the carriage Alice was leading them to they saw the castle. "Wow it is beautiful" Marlene said with the biggest smile on her face. "Sure, that is a way to put it" James said looking at Marlene with a smile on his face, then they both bursted out laughing. "First years, come on you got to go" some random person said, and they all ran out of the carriage, off the train. "First years over here" a older man said with a smile on his face.

When they got to the castle they all were all amazed by it. "Follow me" the older man said leading them into the castle up the stairs to Professor McGonagall. "Hello students I will take you into the next room to be sorted soon" Professor McGonagall said as she went into the next room "what house do you want to be in James" Marlene asked James looking at him. "I want to be in Gryffindor, what about you Mar" James said and looked at Marlene with a smile on his face. "Gryffindor like you" Marlene said looking away from James and looked at the doors. "Ok you may come in students" Professor McGonagall said opening the door.
