Kelley's POV
"Any ideas where you wanna go to college?" Hope asked me when we were walking to practice after school.
"Stanford. How about you?" I ask.
"I'm looking at the University of Washington. Somewhere closer to home."
"That's cool. We'll be one state away from each other when we get accepted." I say with a smile.
"And we'll be one step closer to joining the national team."

Once we got to the locker room I went to my locker which was right next to Alex. By the way Alex and Serv started dating which was fine with me I guess.

"Hey." I said to Alex.
"Hey Kelley. How's was your day?" Alex asked.
"Boring like usual."

"Are we okay Kel?"
"Yeah, we're okay."
"Your gonna tell me if something is wrong right?"
"Always will. We're best friends Alex."
"Okay." Alex says giving me a slight smile.

Practice was easier today thankfully. Our team has been doing good lately. Our record is 8-1.
Once practice was over i walked with Alex to our cars like we always do.

"I'll see you tomorrow Kelley."
"Bye Alex." I say as I get in my car and drive home.

Before I went home I went through the Starbucks drive thru to get something to drink. After that I sang along to the music playing in my car as I drove home. As I was driving i sensed that the car behind me was following me. Every turn they were behind me. I decided to keep driving and the car behind me still followed me. Once i was at a red light i took a picture of the car through the side mirror and sent the picture to Alex.

K: do you know who's car this is? They keep on following me.
A: that's Servs car...
K: why the hell is he following me?
A: idk. I'll call him

Alex's POV
"Hello?" Serv said when he answered the phone.
"Hey Serv it's Alex."
"Hey what's up?"
"Not much. Can you come over? Watch a movie maybe?"
"I can't I'm at my friends house working on a project."
"Maybe tomorrow?"
"For sure."
"Okay bye" I say then hang up the phone.

I texted Kelley right away.

A: he just lied to me. He said he had homework to catch up on when he's clearly in his car following you.
K: should I be worried?"
A: no I'm coming. Give me a general location where you are."
K: near Walmart and other grocery stores.
A: okay.

I get in my car and start driving. Luckily there's this thing on my iPhone called find friends. Cool now I'm gonna find Kelley.

Kelley's POV
I was a little scared as to why he was following me. I kept on driving to see if he would leave me but he wouldn't.

When I stopped at a red light he thankfully turned right.

K: he turned.
A:good.

Once the light turned green I began to drive again until I looked to my left and saw a car coming full speed towards me.

Alex's POV
There was a lot of traffic while I was driving. I heard a lot of sirens and I saw a lot of fire trucks and ambulances. Probably a car crash. Once i got to the front of traffic my eyes widen at the sight. More like the two cars that were in the wreck. It was Kelley's and Servs car.

I get out of my car and go over to one of the paramedics that was there.

"Where is she?" I ask.
Who?" The paramedic asked.
"The girl that was taken out of that car." I say as I point to Kelley's car.
"She was just taken to St. Mary's Hospital."
"Thank you."

I quickly get in my car and drive to the hospital. Once I get there I run inside the hospital and to the front desk.

"Kelley O'Hara where is she?"
"She's in surgery right now you'll have to wait in the waiting room."
"Okay..."

I sit down on a chair and begin to cry not knowing how my best friend is doing.

After about 3 hours a Doctor comes out.

"Are you here for Kelley?" The doctor asked.
"Yes I am. How is she?"
"She was in critical condition when she came here. She was directly hit during the accident which caused her left leg to me broken and her her thumb and index finger on her left hand were also broken. The impact of the accident caused her brain to bleed which is why we had to operate. She also has a major concussion which honestly I'm surprised she isn't in a coma because she took quiet a hit. But she's stable for now and we will be looking out for her."
"Can I see her?"
"Yes you may. If you have any questions please ask."
"Thank you."

Once I get to Kelley's room I see casts, bandages, and wires connected to her. She looked like a wreck but still managed to look beautiful. I pull up a chair and sat down next to her bed and held her hand.

"I'm sorry Kel. You didn't deserve this." I say as I felt a tear escape my eye.
Pretty soon I fell asleep resting my head on Kelley's bed.

I woke up when I heard Kelley's voice.

"Alex?" Kelley says her voice barely above a whisper.
"Hey Kel, I'm right here." I say as I squeeze her hand.
"Am I okay?"
"Yes you will be okay."
"My head...it-"
"Kelley? I say as I see her eyes begin to close.
"Kelley!?" I say louder.

"Someone help!" I yell. Then the doctor comes in with other nurses and stuff.

"She's crashing. We need her in the surgery room now!" The doctor yells.

In a blink of an eye I was left alone in the room.    I can't even think of my best friend leaving me.
