With his mother and father branded as traitors, Lakas grew up as an outcast. During his youth, he was always bullied and beat up by other kids. But because of Agos’ (his father) and Lila’s (his mother) guidance, Lakas never grew resentful of others despite the cruelty he endured. He turned into a good man thanks to them.

Agos also taught Lakas how to fight. He persistently trained despite not being named a member of the Desert Region’s army and eventually became known as one of Sansinukob’s mightiest warriors. And because of his strength and the purity of his heart, Lakas was chosen to be a Bagani and was selected by Apo to be the wielder of Minokawa. He was also elected to be the leader of not only the Desert Region, but the resistance against Sarimaw.
