Anna,

On Saturday, Dozie came to pick me up by eleven am. Thank God my mom was not around. Becca came over to help me pick what to wear and I ended up wearing a black ripped jeans, with singlet and a big neon green hoodie. I left Becca, Daniel and my Juliet at home.

To my surprise, Dozie wore black jeans and a lemon green shirt.

"Are you seriously? Did you purposely wear the same colour with me? "He asked smiling.

I smiled,"Let me change then."

He stopped me."For what? I love it this way." I looked him in the eyes and felt my cheeks heat up. He just had a fresh hair cut which suited him well.

We entered a bike to the cinema which was not too far from my house. We bought two large bowls of popcorn and 1ltr coke with our disposable cups and we sat in the third row when we got in.

It was a sad romantic movie. Where hands touch. A sad romance. I really enjoyed it though but I cried. Also I almost got my first kiss.

Almost. Because I panicked and that brought us out of our trance.

After that, we went to an eatery where we bought snacks and ice cream. When we were done, it was five pm and I knew I needed to go home. I told him that he didn't need to go home with me when he offered because I was sure my mom would be around.

I promised to visit him the next weekend. He gave me a kiss on the cheek before he left. One thing I was sure of was that I didn't like him. I didn't feel the butterflies I felt when I was with Timi. My heart didn't skip a beat and his smile didn't sooth my soul the way Timi's did.

I didn't know why I felt what I felt for Timi. That guy had danger written all over his face. If I gave in to him he'd surely break my heart into pieces.

When I got home, my mom was not back. I was supposed to make dinner but I saw my siblings on the bed sleeping, I slipped into bed and slept off.

"Juliet, the plates in the kitchen will not wash themselves get your lazy ass off that bed immediately, Anna follow her and start boiling the rice I asked you to boil since morning and Daniel go and collect my cloths I gave the dry cleaners!" My mom opened the door and shouted.

"Oooh, don't shout like that now," Daniel hissed and my mom threw a leg of her slippers at him which he dodged.

"Idiot, I'm now your mate." She hissed and pointed at me, "You are not deaf."

I quickly got up and flew downstairs to the kitchen. After dinner, I slept off immediately.

I groaned as I woke up on Sunday morning. My mom woke us up by five am because of church! I made my way into the bathroom and then sat down in the bathtub for almost thirty minutes. I fell asleep. The loud thumping on the bathroom door woke me up. "Anna, are you giving birth there!?" Juliet shouted.

I groaned."what do you want?"

"To bath."

I hissed. "Use your bathroom na."

"Please the water heater broke."

"Ah mummy will kill you."

"It was a mistake."

"Give me a moment," I quickly took my bath and allowed her bath.

I scattered my cloths as I searched for the perfect cloth to wear. I ended up wearing a long pink lace gown I made a year ago. I paired it up with my bub wig, silver sandals and purse.

As soon as I was done, Juliet came out of the bathroom "What should I even wear sef?" She asked me.

I was silent for a moment as I thought of the cloths she had. "Wear your wine flared gown."

Her face brighten up. "Okay."

I walked to Daniel's room, knocked then I entered. He was putting on his senator's wear. He always said it was his best cloth since it was the most expensive piece he had.

"You're wearing your finest because of Daniella right?"

He eyed me, "Shut up, besides she said she has a boyfriend."

"I Didn't see any ring on her finger last Sunday so shoot your shot." I replied using Angel's line.

"Abegi just forget it, I just pray I enter school this year."

I helped him with his shirt buttons and when we got downstairs, mom was already seated on the single sitter couch in the parlor. She was dressed in a sliver colour blouse and a red wrapper.

She looked beautiful, "Since ." She stressed the word.

I checked the time on my phone. " Mummy its just a few minutes past seven."

"And so what? Service starts by eight and ends by ten, is it not good? So we can all come home early and rest. Lets go joh."

When we got to church, the praise and worship had just began. I walked to the teenagers class alone with Juliet. Daniel refused to go claiming he wasn't a teenager.

Fool.

The teenagers class was in a separate building from the church. More than twenty- five teenagers were there. We were a large church. I didn't know anyone there.

Well apart from Timi.

The teacher smiled as us as we took our sit at the back. My eyes were focused on Timi. He didn't notice me come inside because he was busy flirting with a girl. In the church again. But I noticed he didn't have that glow on his face. He looked so tired but why was he still flirting?

The teacher blabbed on about forgiveness and all I could think about was Timi. He looked back and his eyes caught mine, he gave me a brief smile before leaning in to whisper something into the girl's ear. I rolled my eyes and played with my fingers as I wished time could go any faster. We didn't even have breakfast because we wanted to come to church early.

Juliet dozed off beside me till service was over. A few teenagers came to introduce themselves. Two boys and a girl. Simon, Dolapo and Faith. We were walking to where our cars were packed as we exchanged numbers when I ran into Timi with the same girl.

"Hi,"i started.

"Hi." he replied.

"Hey." The girl replied and I wasn't talking for her. I just smiled in response. "I'm Cynthia."

"Okay" I turned to Timi, "Can I talk to you, alone?"

"Sure," he told Cynthia something I couldn't hear and she walked away smiling. "Yeah?"

"So are you going to still tutor me next week?"

He shrugged "If you want."

"Not if I want. Yes or No?"

"Yes."

"Okay" He turned to leave but I stopped him."

Wait, Timi are you okay?"

He gave a small nod and left. I walked off towards my mom and siblings. After exchanging pleasantries with Timi's mom and sister, we went home .

After I washed my uniform and made my hair, I spent The remaining day in bed. I was chatting with Dozie.

Dozie: so when can I see you again
Me: I don't know. I have tests coming up upper week so I would be busy through out studying.

I didn't have the heart to tell him I wasn't interested in him.

Dozie :awwn, okay then. But please when you are free tell me

Me:no p🙂

On money morning, Juliet woke up before me, she was dressed before I was. I was actually surprised. "Is the world ending today?"

I found myself asking. She just laughed "There's this new boy in my class, he comes to school early and I just want a moment with him before students come to school."

I rolled my eyes. She was too young for the things she did. Anyways, around a few minutes after seven we got to school. After bidding Juliet goodbyes I walked to the class and what I saw was something I would never forget....
