The Birth Of Entropy

The acropolis wasn't always a stronghold and the reason for its elevated location wasn't always to look out for enemies. It had once been a place were the gods where able to organize, plan, talk, laugh, cry, grief, meditate all of their worries from the past present and future. They marveled at what they had created; a world or more like a sort of infrastructure which acted on their own accord although blessed by the limits of natural order. The gods were swayed away by the beauty of their creation and often not would find themselves visiting and walking among the same reality they had created. As the days, years, decades, and centuries passed by one of the gods whose name had infinite variations, one as legitimate as the next, found himself lost at what he saw. 'Lost' in the sense that there was no order or direction on what they had created, everything seemed flawless and meaningless. His restlessness grew and from his anxiousness grew hatred, anger and even disgust. Little by little he altered the creation but was caught and punished and locked away in a place where he was alone and victim to his own thoughts. Thoughts which he locked in something that resembled closely to a box but at the same time an apple or was it rather a snake? It mattered not because he escaped his solemn prison and he let the world know. Everything. And there was chaos; a beautiful kind of chaos he though. He killed the other gods or were they humans? They certainly looked like so. And then he left or rather he stayed invisible in each and one of us for the rest of the oncoming eternity until, as he had intended, the end of our eventual existence. Entropy they called it...
