Change or Die adalah sebuah cerita yang terinspirasi sebuah kisah nyata. Kisah ini ceritanya sangat dekat dengan kehidupan kita sehari-hari dalam menjalani hidup yang penuh dengan perjuangan dan pengorbanan. Dery tokoh dalam cerita ini keluarganya sedang mengalami kebangkrutan, dikarenakan orangtuanya mempunya banyak hutang. Satu demi satu masalah terus datang hingga ibu dan ayahnya bercerai dikarenakan masalah ekonomi dan beban pikiran. Ayah Dery pergi dari rumah dan membawa adik perempuannya yang masih balita bernama Dera. Sampai di mana masalah paling besar datang, rumah Dery harus disita oleh bank untuk melunasi hutang-hutang ayahnya. Dery dan Ibunya untuk sementara waktu tinggal dijalanan sembari mencari kontrakan kecil yang murah. Di Daerah kali Ciliwung Dery mendapatkan kontrakan kecil dan mengenal teman-teman barunya seorang pengamen. Tidak disangka sabahat lama Dery yang kaya raya mengusulkan bagaimana jika mereka membuat Band dan untuk latihan rutinya bisa memakai studio miliknya. Lambat laun semakin mereka akrab, semakin mereka mengenal masalah mereka satu sama lain, seperti Dery dari keluarga broken home yang miskin, Tiktok yang terlahir dari fakir miskin yang rumahnya dari gubuk, Rezki adalah seoranga anak piatu yang memiliki adik disabilitas, dan Nando adalah seorang anak yatim yang memiliki ayah tiri yang tidak menganggapnya anak.
