Darcy is afraid of human contact, and the only reason seems to stem from the mysterious bruises covering her body.Lucas is an old man in a teenagers body, raising himself and constantly needing to take care of others--especially his mom. Jonathan feels alone even when he's with people, everyday sinking further into his own sea of despair. Ella just wants to be like everyone else, but no matter how hard she tries, she can't escape who she is. Isaac is so far in the closet that he can't even see the door, which is good, because if he could, he would only see his fathers judgmental face. Jordan can't control himself- no matter how many pills he takes or how hard he focuses- he just can't stay calm.Clare can't bare to be anything less than perfect, which is no surprise considering the amount of pressure her parents and sister put on her shoulders.Ryleigh knows that people are whispering about her in the halls, even though they don't have to-- she can't hear them. <><><>Each of these teenagers feel as if there is something wrong with them, based on how they are treated by society. They feel beaten and broken, like they will never be free. By happenstance, they all meet. Slowly the misfit eight grow together and become friends, suddenly more focused on helping each other fight their insecurities and problems than worrying about their own. Can the misfits find a place where they feel they can be themselves, or will they continue to be outcasts, forever beaten and broken? *warning* This story covers trigger issues such as abuse, bulimia, cutting, bullying (cyber and otherwise), anxiety, alcohol and substance abuse, suicide mention, and bipolar disease. "Again Lily! One two three PUSH!" The nurse placed a hand on my arm while I let out a scream and pushed. Sweat dripped down the side of my face as I kept on pushing until the doctor told me to stop. What if izuku is a half monster and half human because her father is a demon king from another dimension and her mother is a human and her mother was afraid that she would destroy the world because her husband can destroy worlds and eating souls and making puppets or slaves from the dead and one day something happens

"The Tell-Tale Heart" is a short story by American writer Edgar Allan Poe, first published in 1843. It is relayed by an unnamed narrator who endeavors to convince the reader of his sanity while simultaneously describing a murder he committed. The victim was an old man with a filmy "vulture-eye", as the narrator calls it. The narrator emphasizes the careful calculation of the murder, and he hides the body by dismembering it, and hiding it under the floorboards. Ultimately, the narrator's feelings of guilt, or a mental disturbance, result in him hearing a thumping sound, which he interprets as the dead man's beating heart.Cover by the lovely @FayLane.
