18 :; DEAR, DARLING ANGEL DUST

"It's been a while, hasn't it, Four-Eyes?" A fair-skinned, short, and small-eyed man laughed at the other line as he came face-to-face with his old buddy.

Four-Eyes, as the man called him, flashed him a stern lookโ€” his hand tightening its grip on the telephone.

"Don't call me that, Xylo." He spat out, narrowing his eyes as Xylo, as he came to be known, chuckled. He looks at his lap for a bit before making straight eye contact with him.

"Whatever, you remember the Kelly Park Compton gang?" He brings up all of a suddenโ€” the name was still so fresh in Four-Eyes's mind; he couldn't forget about them even in a million years.

Not after what one of their punk-ass members did to him.

"How would I forget about those punks, ah, Xylo?" He pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance, earning another laugh of amusement from his old friend.

"Casual-"

"Casual? The Casual?" He cuts him off, his eyes widen as he stares at Xylo, whose smile is now wiped completely off his face.

The air turned serious and tense as Xylo nodded his head, watching as Four-Eyes grit his teeth and released a deep sigh from his lips.

"What now with that dwarf?"

"Saw 'im hangin' out with your dear, darling Angel Dust." He finishes meanwhile Four-Eyes's heart drops to his stomachโ€” feeling a bit lightheaded as he imagines his daughter with that absolute asshole of a man.

"When?!" He yells, punching the glass with his fist as his blood boils.

"Ay, watch it," the guard warns him, shooting him a warning glare, but he doesn't care about him. It was his daughter they were on about.

If he found out that Casual laid a hand on his daughterโ€” he would do anything to escape this hellhole and take matters into his own hands.

Xylo shrugs and leans back in his seat, "I don't remember when, but they was at the pier. Angel Dust looked like she had fun with him." He scratched his cheek as he watched his friend's face contort into all kinds of emotions.

Anger, hurt, confusionโ€” he grits his teeth again as he pinches the bridge of his nose. He sighed into the telephone, thinking of many explanations and reasons as to why she, of all people, was hanging out with him, the bastard of bastards.

He couldn't believe it. It was too out of character for his daughterโ€” she would never be caught dead joining or being affiliated with a gang. Hell, he would've cursed himself to hell if he found out his little girl followed in his footsteps and chose a life of danger.

He just would never forgive himself if that was the case.

"Are you sure it was Angel Dust?" He asked, his heart beating faster than normal. He prayed to God, or any God out there, that it wasn't true and that Xylo just mistook another girl for his daughter.

But his answer sent chills up his spineโ€” this would haunt him for eternity.

"No. I know it's her. She was wearing that bracelet you gave her."

Silence.

He stayed silent, a single teardrop falling from his eye as his worst fear became a reality.

He fucked upโ€” as a son, a man, a human, a husband, and most especially; as a father.

If only he wasn't stuck in this cageโ€” this cage that he came to know as his forever home because of the crimes he's done in the past. Of course, he came to regret doing so after a few years of being in the pentโ€” but his regret wasn't this high until now.

He had finally realised how much he fucked upโ€” if only he wasn't stuck in this hell on earth; then maybe he could've intervened. Maybe even stopped his daughter from meeting him.

"What do you want me and Getaway to do, Four-Eyes?"

"... do what you think's good. Just be sure to get my Angel Dust away from him."

Xylo hums in approval, a smirk on his face.

"They can take Seong-Min Yun out of the streets, but they can never take the streets out of you, Four-Eyes."
