Sam opened the door of Irene's room, it had been two weeks since the incident. She wasn't her normal happy self but she didn't wanna worry her family.

"Hey princess, it's almost 11." Sam mentioned to his niece while getting in the bed next to her. He turned her small body around.

"I know it's been a tough couple of weeks but you know how much we're worried about you. This isn't like you and I understand, but you have to talk to at least one of us. Come on let's go out." Irene opened her eyes only to fake a smile and nod.

"Yeah, okay. I'll be there in a while." That was all that came out of her mouth. Sam sighed as he kissed her eyelid.

He got up from the bed, making his way back to the library where his brother was. He sat behind the table and continued his research while his brother was figuring out some of the stuff inside the drawers. Dean pulled out a box with a weird knife in it.

"The hell is this? Spear of Destiny? What, is this God's toothpick?" He talked loudly to himself, Sam rolled his eyes. "You know, would it have killed these ass hats to label these boxes in something other than hieroglyphics? It's ridiculous." he took out another box, analyzing it before looking at the other hunter.

"Hey, you listening to me?" Sam raised his head, pretending he was listening.

"Yeah, it's, fascinating stuff. You should probably write it all down in your journal for the archives, you know?" Dean glared as he took another small box, checking it out.

"Yeah, thanks. You're a lot of help." he mocked, opening the eggshell inside the box, smelling it; it did not smell good.

"Morning." Irene's voice echoed in the library, the brothers both instantly gave her their attention well that is until Sam started coughing pretty bad.

"Hey, Doc Holliday, you alright over there?" Dean looked at his brother, Irene saw the blood on the tissue her uncle used. Sam cleared his throat before answering.

"Uh, yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Just wrong pipe." he took another sip of his drink. Irene hugged him from his back then kissed his cheek. Still, she didn't let go of him.

"Are you really okay?" she whispered in his ear, Sam quickly turned around to reassure his niece, he's fine.

"Of course." Irene's lips turned into a weak smile, she knew her uncle lied. The girl let go of him and walked over to Dean who was still messing with the boxes and stuff.

"Well, hello. These Men of Letters weren't so boring after all." he started talking to the Asian porn magazine he found until his daughter wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Look at my sleeping beauty." Dean said sarcastically, Irene rolled her eyes yet tightened her arms around him.

"You're up late, again." he put a kiss on top of her head. She didn't answer just rubbed her head to his chest. Irene was getting taller and taller by day passing.

"Where's aunt Charlie?" Dean shrugged not sure about the woman's whereabouts.

"She texted saying she's not coming home last night." Sam yelled for them to hear.

"Looks like someone's having fun." Irene wasn't dumb, she knew exactly what her father meant. They both moved over to where Sam was sitting.

"You find anything?" Dean questioned after pulling the chair out for Irene, she reached her hand to the plate of waffles next to her uncle.

"Here cupcake. As for you, yeah I did. Uh, dead bodies showing up all over the Midwest last week. Benton, Indiana, Downers Grove, Illinois, Novi, Michigan, and then again last night in Lincoln Springs, Missouri." Sam explained to Dean who was not paying much attention to his brother but the magazine, and Irene who was eating her breakfast quietly, which was weird for her.

"And how is this us?" Dean finally gazed up at his brother.

"Because each of the victims had severe burns around their eyes, hands, and feet, puncture wounds through their hands, eyes and internal organs liquefied." He reasoned with Dean who now was nodding.

"That sounds like us." He corrected himself then looked back at his magazine.

"Yeah, Also no link between any of the victims. One was a real state agent. Another was a local historian. The woman killed last night was a teacher." Sam used his hands pointing to the laptop screen he was reading.

"So chupacabra?" Irene and Sam let out a laugh at Dean.

"What do we got, power tools gone rogue? Wait, are we talking a maximum overdrive situation here?" He finally put what he had in his hands away. Sam shrugged with a smile to his niece.

"I don't know. Worth a shot, though. I'll grab my gear. We should probably leave in five." Dean opened the book again while Irene got up from her chair.

"Unless, of course, you need some more time with Miss October." Sam scoffed as he stood up, holding Irene's hand.

"What?" Dean raised his eyebrows awkwardly.

"Oh, Yeah, Yeah, make it ten." Sam laughed, bringing a big smile on Dean's face too after watching his brother and daughter both laugh. The second Irene and Sam left Dean alone he closed the magazine and bent down to see the tissue his brother used was bloody.

"Young lady, you stay put. you hear me?" Dean's firm voice made her nod with a small smile on the corner of her lips.

"From now on I'll listen. Probably." the father sighed before kissing her forehead.

"We'll be right back, if you need anything, I'm a call away alright?" She kissed his cheek before letting him go. She saw them getting inside the house of the teacher who was killed last night, to talk to the husband. Irene took a deep breath and stared down at her hands. Praying to him.

"Dad? Are you listening? You said you'll be there whenever I call you, So I'm calling you now. Daddy and Uncle Sammy are doing the best they can but I want you. I'm done feeling like this. What's happening to me? You're supposed to be here no matter what so why are you not? I miss you and I need you, to help me. I feel like something in me is not right. I'm not feeling like me. There's someone inside of me, talking none stop. Help me please!" She pleaded helplessly, her heart was beating faster, her hands were sweating and the boy inside her was talking again.

She punched her forehead lightly to stop the noises. "Please make it stop." She begged the boy as she fought with, the tears caused by pain.

After flashes of the thing that had never happened passed her mind, She started hitting her head on the window harder and harder trying to stop him. Dean and Sam were discussing around the car before the older brother's eyes caught Irene.

"Irene!" he yelled as he rushed to open the door. He cupped her face with his hands.

"He keeps talking, I can't make it stop." She told Dean with a defensive tone as she tried to get her head out of his hands.

"Who? Who is he? Sweetheart! No. Talk instead of doing that!!" He demanded as he holds her tightly in his arms.

"Sammy looks like you're driving." he sat in the back seats while rocking his daughter in his arms like he used to do when she was younger.

Irene placed her hands on her ears and pushed them, her father, on the other hand, took her hands away from her, putting his hands instead.

Sam started the car, he was concerned about his niece but he had a job to do.

He called the number of the people who had lost their loved ones these past few days.

"Is she okay?" Sam asked, checking on her after his last call. Dean nodded doubtfully, kissing her head for the thousand time.

"Baby I need you to talk with me." Irene was messed up, she wasn't crying. She was just losing her mind.

"Daddy, I want him" Irene murmured fighting the boy in her head.

"Who baby? You want who?"

"Dad." She finally saw his expression without the boy talking.

"Cas?" Dean closed his eyes, begging the angel to come to them.

"Cas, you son of a bitch, you better get your ass here before I'll murder you." Irene was calmer than before however, She was still inside in her father's arms.

"You better beautiful?" Dean pushed her hair out of her face lightly. She nodded with a smile.

"Yes, I'm sorry for what happened daddy." Dean frowned; Irene blaming herself was the last thing he wanted.

"My job, my real job is to keep you safe. You always come first, don't ever say sorry for things like this." he kissed her forehead one more time.

"We're here." Sam parked the car, Dean shook his head in his direction.

"I'm not leaving her here Sam and she's not fine enough to come inside with us." Irene let go of her father's hand.

"Go. I'll be fine." She said determinedly as Dean kissed her forehead.

"Daddy, go." She got out of his arms, rolling her eyes at the worried man.

"I said go." she frowned, scolding her Dad. He nodded cautiously, before changing his mind Irene shoved him lightly outside the car.

✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩

It was about 10 minutes that they had went inside the house of the last person who had seen Ann alive.

Irene was keeping her cool by singing her favorite song under her breath until she saw 3 men, or should I say Demons, ringing the doorbell of that house.

She quickly opened the car door, running towards them. There was no need for her to hold herself back anymore. Unlike the last time she used her powers, this time instead of white her eyes went full black.

As soon as Dean and Sam saw her; they tried their very best to stop her. Irene started casting the spell to exorcise them out of the body's those demons were holding hostage. Dean was frightened for her, his daughter didn't know how to cast an Exercism. Her lips shaped into a dark smirk but a second after she lost control of her body to the boy within her.

That's when they attacked the brothers and the old woman however none of them came near Irene. While Dean and Sam were busy fighting with two demons, the other one fled, holding a map between its hands.

Irene could see and feel everything but she wasn't there, she wasn't in control of her own body; which freaked her out.

By the time she finally got control of her body back a demon who had thrown Dean away walked over to her. She felt helpless, she couldn't use her powers and she didn't know how to fight. Luckily, the older hunter shoved him harshly away from his daughter, he took out his knife but the demon smoked out into the old woman, before getting killed.

Dean gazed concernedly at Irene, feeling the need to ask her permission to leave her alone. Irene nodded repeatedly.

"Sammy, keep an eye on her." Dean yelled as he followed the demon inside the old lady yet before he could go too far Castiel appeared in front of them, killing the demon on top of Sam with one hand and holding the other demon with his other hand.

Dean stared at the sight of the man, finally seeing him after weeks. Irene breathed out heavily while making her way to her uncle. No one talked to Castiel.

"Uncle Sammy?" She cupped his face and kissed his eyes like he always did with her. Sam smiled, nodding.

"Nothing is wrong. I'm great." his brother came to help him stand up, he held Sam's hand and pulled him up while Cas tied the demon in the other room. Sam sat on the sofa next to Irene. Dean made his way to the kitchen just to get his brother an ice bag. He threw it in his direction.

"Put this on your shoulder." he ordered calmly. Sam was rubbing his neck and shoulder as he glared.

"I'm fine." He said defensively. Irene frowned and picked up the ice bag from the floor that Sam had thrown. She handed it to him with her threatening look.

"You better use that." Dean smiled weakly, yet his brother glared as they'd hunched he would.

"The other demon escaped. I bound the one I caught in a devil's trap. I'll interrogate it now." Castiel talked without a pause. Sam watched his angry niece and sad brother, unable to open their mouths.

"Wait a minute Cas." that's why he started talking. "How about you answer some questions first? Like, where the hell have you been?" Dean rubbed Irene's back. Irene won't usually get angry at them for not being around, yes it will hurt like hell, still, she bares it and this time Dean didn't know why his child was furious. Not even Irene herself was aware of the reason behind her anger.

"You heard me, didn't you?" Dean asked staring at Castiel's back. Neither Sam nor Irene knew about this.

"You prayed to him?"

"Yes, I heard you. I heard both of you. But that's not why I'm here." He explained as he sat on the chair in front of them. Irene was clenching her teeth harshly. Dean furrowed, calling his daughter.

"Irene?" She rolled her eyes, standing up and moving to another room. Cas sighed after she left, he hated this more than she did.

"I've been hunting demons." Sam raised his head for a minute before realizing the case they were here for.

"So this is you?" Castiel shrugged, rubbing his chin.

"Why?" he continued.

"I'm searching for the other half of the demon tablet." Dean's eyes widened as he spoke.

"Without us?"

"I've been trying to help, Dean. And in my search, I uncovered that Crowley has sent out demons to find Lucifer's Crypts." Sam moved his head around to just keep an eye on Irene.

"Lucifer had Crypts?"

"Dozens of them apparently." Castiel saw how Dean's expression changed with every word coming out of his mouth.

"But why the storage wars? What are they all looking for?" Sam raised a question then gave her look back at Irene again.

"They're looking for a parchment that would allow them to decipher Crowley's half of the demon tablet without a prophet." Irene was hearing every word, her father was lying straight to them. She scoffed, standing up from the seat she found.

"A demonic decoder ring in Crowley's hands? Awesome."Dean mocked.

"The crypts were lost over time. Only those closest to Lucifer knew their whereabouts." He kept on lying straight to the face of the man he loves and his little girl who he was curtain, could hear them.

"Then how did Crowley find them?" Sam asked dryly.

"His demons have been possessing locals who may have some special knowledge." Irene finally gathered the courage to face Castiel. She took a deep breath, walking over to Dean.

"That would explain the crazy room at Ann's house. But how did they know where to look in the first place?" Sam made a long pause in between, while Dean grabbed her hand. Cas followed her every move with his eyes.

"I don't know. I'm hoping the strange haired demon in the kitchen is more knowledgeable than the others I interrogated." He stood up moving to the kitchen. As soon as he was gone Dean talked.

"Well, he puts the ass in Cas, huh?" Dean ran his hand through Irene's blonde hair.

"He's definitely off." Sam used the best usage of word he could think of.

"Off? He hasn't been right since he got back from purgatory. We still don't know how he got out of there. He's not like Cas. He can't be." Irene furrowed in sympathy with him.

"I don't know, Dean. If he's so sketchy, then why were you praying to him? I get Irene, but you don't pray." Dean looked at his brother and daughter then at his feet. Sam pushed Irene's hair behind her ears before hearing Castiel's voice.

"You know, I can hear you both. I am a celestial being." his voice came from behind the door. Dean got up sooner than his brother.

"Wait. Can I say something?" The brothers turned to face the girl. She shook her head towards Dean.

"Just him." she pointed her finger in Sam's direction. Dean narrowed his eyes yet agreed. He got inside the kitchen while Sam stood behind.

"What's wrong cupcake?"

"You are. I feel it, it's getting worse and worse. You need to tell my dads. Please don't do something to hurt yourself." She wrapped her arms around his neck while she spoke. Sam kissed her cheek lightly.

"We can't tell your dads. They'll be worried okay? But I'm fine, do you trust me?" Irene nodded immediately.

"More than anyone." And she meant it, her uncle was the person she would talk about anything with first. Not Dean or Cas, but Sam.

"Let's go then." He didn't let go of her hand the whole time in the room. The demon was in a devil's trap like Cas said she would be.

"The Winchesters. Sam, Dean, and the sweet Irene." she let out a laugh before continuing.

"Oh, the thoughts she had about you two. Mostly you, Sam." Dean raised his eyebrows turning to his brother who was putting both of his hands on Irene's ears.

"What can I say? She has a thing for smitten chops."

"Ewww. Stop it." Sam chuckled at her without making a sound.

"Alright you douchebag, listen-" Dean was cut off by the screams of the middle-aged woman. Castiel had stabbed her hand with the angel blade.

"What the hell dad?" Irene finally talked to him face to face. However, He didn't seem to care.

"Who told you about the crypts?" he gave her about a second to answer and she did just not satisfying enough.

"I thought angels were supposed to be the good cops." Before anyone saw it, Castiel stabbed her other hand as well; making her scream.

"Wait, Stop. Stop" the woman cried out of pain. Cas didn't take the blade out until she spoke up.

"We have a hostage." she was shaking painfully.

"It's one of Crowley's pets. She's at the Murray hotel down by the interstate. She knows the towns where all the crypts are buried. She saw them back in the day." the demon gave them all the information she was aware of.

"Meg." Irene whispered, no one heard her. Everything was turning out as she saw it.

"And she told you about the parchment?" Sam questioned.

"What parchment?" Sam wrinkled his forehead.

"Hey, hey." Dean moved closer to the table.

"Think he's the only bad cop in this room? Stop lying. We know what you're really looking for." he continued. Irene gazed at Cas, she knew this was all a lie.

"No, I am telling you, we're looking for-" that's when she screamed out till death.

"Cas!" Sam warned him.

"What the hell was that?" Irene shook her head disappointed.

"It told us what we needed." the brothers tried to reason with him, it wasn't working.

"No, she didn't you can't just-" Castiel interrupted him by yelling, something he doesn't often do.

"I started this hunt without you because I didn't want anything to slow me down. We have to get to the motel now."

"You're such a liar. Dad. No no no not again."

"Hold on a second-" before he could say anything else the angel was gone.

"Cas!" Sam yelled at the empty space.

"Cas? Cas? Damn it. Go, go, go." The three of them rushed inside the car.

It took them a while to get there. They all got out by the time a room in that hotel glowed. Something there exploded.

"There, there." Sam pointed at the room. None of them had time to lecture Irene about staying in so they just let her come. Dean opened the door with his shoulder only to find two demons dead on the ground and Castiel next to them.

"Thanks for waiting." Sam told him. Irene walked past him to open the door.

"Irene!" Dean hated how his reckless daughter would go inside without having a weapon. There was a bloody faced Meg on the floor. Irene quickly opened her hand, she trusted her even though her parents didn't. When Sam and Dean saw the demon on the floor, their eyes widened.

"Hi dollface." she said quietly to the girl who was trying to rescue her before turning to the brothers.

"Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" even in that situation, she used her sarcasm.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry we didn't look for you. Uncle Sammy said you're probably dead." She told the demon with guilt all over her sound and face yet Meg smiled.

"It's okay. I'm good."
After standing up she sat on the bed in front of the boys.

"So, I gotta ask. What's up with the hair?" Sam sent his brother a bitchface while his daughter glared.

"What?"

"Thanks for noticing, Dean. But this wasn't my idea. It was Crowley's and it's just another reason I want to stab him in the face." Irene pulled out a tissue from her pocket, handing it to her.

"You should probably clean the..." She pointed to the blood on her face.

"Wait a second. You've been telling Crowley the location of Lucifer's Crypts." Sam frowned, pointing with his fingers.

"What Can I say? I needed a break from the constant torture and I did visit them all during my time with yellow eyes, But don't worry, I haven't exactly been giving them the Glengarry leads." Irene felt it was her responsibility to save her, it was almost 3 years since she saw Meg, and all these years instead of helping people she hid with Sam and Charlie. The 8 year old was pissed at herself.

"You mean you've been lying to them?" Cas corrected her by using more simple usage of words.

"I just get them in the ballpark. Enough time's passed and enough's changed that they bought it." she explained her reasons.

"Why lie?" Dean blinked a couple of times before asking. Meg gloated at his dumbness.

"Buy myself some time, dummy. Try to find a way to get free."

"Wait, so a bunch of innocent people died so you could buy yourself some time?" none of them liked her methods but they knew, at last, she will always choose the right thing to do.

"Hi. I'm Meg, I'm a demon." She raised her eyebrows, her answer was logical enough for Sam to not ask anything anymore.

"So, what have they found?" Castiel who was standing next to the window with folded arms asked.

"Bubkes. Every Crypt's been one Al Capone's vault after another and on top of that, someone kept picking up the trail and icing demons. I'm guessing that was you, Castiel but Crowley just keeps sending more. He's hell bent on finding that angel tablet." Irene sighed, she knew about this all along but didn't wanna add something like that to her family's problems. Sam and Dean looked with shock and disbelief, both of them turned to face the angel.

"Wait a second. Did you just say Angel Tablet?" his surprised tone showed the shock he was in.

"You know, I get why Crowley calls you Moose now. Yes, Angel Tablet. Crowley found out Lucifer had it, figures it's stashed in a crypt."

"Well, this is news to me, as well." Castiel tried to make his lie not seem like a lie.

"Demons I interrogated must have been lying about their true intentions." Dean wasn't buying any of that.

"Really? Because I saw you Zero Dark Thirty that demon. You were more than persuasive." Cas licked his lower lip. He had messed up.

"He knew about the tablet." Irene quietly mentioned something she didn't wanna ever tell.

"What?" Castiel's face dropped.

"The night he killed Alfie? The night he left, I was there. Alfie told dad about the angel tablet before he killed him." Dean opened his mouth to comment on the matter but Meg stopped them.

"You're all missing the point. I lied to them, which means they're digging in the wrong place but not for long. They'll be back here soon. So who's up for fleeing?"

"She's right. We need to find those crypts before they do. Meg, you're the only one who's been there." Castiel agreed with Sam by adding.

"Meg, we need your help." She let out a laugh.

"Any of you dummies got a map?" Dean and Sam decided to take her to the house they were in that morning, considering the large map the owner had made.

"Are you mad at me?" She rested her head on Dean's shoulder as he moved to the impala.

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"Because, Daddy we were doing okay, and I already lost all of you more than once. Because for once I couldn't care less about people, Uncle Sammy is sick, he says everything will be okay, but I know better than to believe that. Nothing is gonna get better. He's gonna die, and I can't risk losing you or dad over another stupid tablet again." she made a pause between every few sentences. She wasn't gonna let the tears in her eyes ruin the defensive act she was pulling together.

"Babygirl, this hunting is what we do. I love you but you can't do that. Sam's not dying. I understand that I can't give you the life you deserve but sweetheart I swear on you that I'm trying my hardest." she kissed him repeatedly, that wasn't true, Irene loves her life. Her family, the friends among the way, the adventures. Dean should never think like that.

"No, no Daddy, you give me your true love, the most important thing. You always try harder and harder for me. I just didn't wanna ruin the good time I had with you and Sammy. Like you guys always say, we never know what's gonna happen next." Dean kissed her forehead while opening the backseat door.

"Every single thing I do in life is because I love you, don't ever, ever forget that beautiful." She smiled nodding.

"You too." Irene locked her seatbelt as Meg got in from the other side of the car.

✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩

They were in the basement of that house. Meg pointed to a piece of the miniature.

"There, that's where the crypt was."

"What's there now?" Sam asked with raised eyebrows. Irene was standing next to Castiel. She hated the tension between them.

"Do I look like google to you? None of these buildings were here way back in the day. Figure it out genius. Is there any booze in this dump?" Meg didn't wait for their answers, instead, she walked out of the room they were in; Castiel shortly followed.

"I kind of understand why Cas lied to us. I mean, an angel Tablet? If the demon tablet can shut the gates of hell, What can the angel tablet do?" Sam opened his laptop, surfing the Internet for useful information. After a while, he finally found the location of the crypt.

"Here goes. Alright according to this the crypt has to be below an abandoned building."

"Good times. You really think we can trust Meg-stiel?" Irene puckered her lips and answered instead of Sam.

"No. But what choice do you have?" Dean ruffled her hair while Sam collected his stuff. When they saw Castiel and Meg in the living room, talking to each other, mostly flirting, it wasn't easy on the father-daughter.

"Alright, let's roll campers." Dean didn't even bother himself to look at him, he just told them before getting out of that house.

✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩

After a long drive, they arrived in the abandoned building.

"I don't want you in there." Dean said firmly yet his daughter seemed to disagree.

"What? No! Daddy, I'm not leaving you and uncle Sam with them. The person standing over there isn't my dad so I don't trust him." Dean let out a laugh, Irene was always overprotective over them and it only got worst with time.

"Listen to your father Irene." this was the first time Castiel spoke to his daughter that day. She frowned without hesitation.

"Don't talk like that. Like You care, cause you don't." Cas's eyelid dropped as Irene tried to get out of the car, ignoring their efforts. She didn't succeed to get past her parents.

"I don't want you to go in there with him as long as he's like this." she told Cas with a deadpanned however pained face. A part of her harsh sentence, related to the flashes she'd witnessed earlier.

"Irene!" Dean warned his daughter to watch her tone. Castiel was her father one way or the other.

"You don't get to use that tone with us, young lady. remember that's your father, not some stranger." Before one more word, he closed the door, locking it on his child and throwing the key to his brother.

"So this is it. Basement?" Meg said as they all walked closer to the building.

"Cas and I will head in, get our Indiana Jones on. Sam, you stay outside with Meg and her." He pointed at Irene with his head.

"What?" Sam wrinkled his forehead, he didn't want to agree with him.

"We got this."

"I'm not letting you go in there alone." Cas glanced at him from the corner of his eyes.

"He won't be alone." He spoke dryly.

"That's not what I mean. Meg can hang here, watch our backs." Sam reasoned with him, finding a better solution.

"First off, I'm not going to make my kid more stressed out than she already is. If you go in with us, she'll freak out like this morning.Β  And second, now you trust Meg?" he shrugged.

"Hey, I got you this far."

"Shut up"
"Shut up, Meg" The brothers said at the same time before stopping.

"Dean-" He was cut off by his brother who now had the more logical reasons to go there with only Castiel.

"Sam, I saw your bloody rag in the trash can, okay?" the younger hunter gulped before having no more words to express himself.

"That wasn't-" yet he tried.

"Stop. Just stop. Sam, we don't know what's in there okay? You almost let a demon get the best of you back there." Sam scoffed as Dean talked.

"I'm fine."

"No, you haven't been since the first trial. That's why I called Cas; you and Irene are not okay. Both of you are just too damn stubborn to admit it."

"Trial?" Meg got in the middle of the deep conversation again.

"Shut up Meg. "Again with the exact same timing.

"Dean, I'm telling you, I'm okay." Sam lied, Dean and Cas both knew better than to think like he is.

"No, you're not. Sam, you're damaged in ways even I can't heal. Dean's right. You should stay here and protect Irene." Sam sighed angrily, he didn't want them to know but they did.

"Alright, we'll be back." The younger boy didn't argue anymore. Dean handed him the demon knife before turning around only to see his girl hitting the door of the car.

✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩

About half an hour after they left, Sam's phone started ringing; it was his brother's number calling.

"Dean?"
"Please get me out of here Sammy." Irene pleaded softly, he smiled lightly as he walked over to the car, opening the door and hanging up the phone.

"Hey sweetheart." her angry little face wasn't a new thing to him.

"Come on, wanna help?" he rubbed a hand between her frowned eyebrows just to make her stop.

"Irene, Castiel loves you. You know that right?"

"I do know, he's just not acting like my dad right now, I think someone's messing with his head." She wrapped her arms around Sam's neck while he picked her up.

"Wait, what?" He questioned shockingly. Irene shrugged.

"I don't know, maybe I'm wrong but... He's my father, I just think so." Sam nodded, rubbing her back. As soon as they got back to where Meg was drawing different traps to secure the place, the demon started to talk.

"What's with all the trial and being damaged crap?"Β  Irene turned her face instantly after hearing the word damaged.

"What? my dad said that? not this again, I knew it. You can't go through with the rest. I can't let you kill yourself for this! This isn't fair." Sam closed his eyes, she wasn't supposed to know. His niece meant everything to him; that's why some things should stay hidden.

"Princess." He called her calmly with a weak smile.

"I hate all of you. Maybe daddy was right, maybe I am a mistake considering all you guys do is make me suffer through this process of you leaving or worse, dying." She let a sob out of her mouth, hitting his chest angrily. The man sighed, his heart broke with every word coming out of her mouth.

"I'm sorry." Meg told Sam with concerned eyes. He shook his head.

"If Dean finds out I made you cry, he'll kill me before the next sunlight." he tried to make a joke just to laugh it off but it only got worse. Her tears fell on her face. His shoulder was completely wet. Her head was raised, remembering the next part of the future.

"I need to go. Dad, he's gonna kill him." Suddenly Irene disappeared, her tears still shedding like raindrops.

She found herself in an old room where Dean was holding the tablet and Cas was holding his blade.

"Cas, Cas! I don't know what the hell is wrong with you but if you're in there and you can hear me, you don't have to do this. Cas." Castiel tried to hit him with the angel blade but failed.

"Cas, fight this. This isn't you. Fight it." Dean demanded before his eyes landed on Irene and just as he was about to go her way, something Cas said stopped him.

"What have you done to me, Naomi?"

"Who's Naomi?" he didn't answer back, Dean put a hand on his face, trying to get him back.

"Cas." yet he just threw him away with a punch. Irene could feel the demons out there. She didn't know what to do, help them or her uncle and Meg. Dean rushed over to Irene but he was stopped in the middle. He did his best fighting him, fighting back with his angle but Castiel twisted his arm, weakening him. After Dean fell on his knees, Cas continued to hit him, this time with the back of the blade.

"You want it, take it. But you're gonna have to kill me first." his whole face was bleeding. Dean stared at his daughter, who was standing frozen.

"I'm so sorry." he mouthed in her direction before continuing.

"Come on you coward. Do it. Do it!" he hit him again after that as if Dean was a punching bag.

"Dad?" Irene's shaky voice brought him back for a second before hitting Dean again.

"Cas, this isn't you. This isn't you." Irene felt like the air was running out of her lungs, tears, sobs, and begging wasn't bringing the real angel back.

"Cas! Cas. Not in front of her. Cas. I know you're in there. I know you can hear me. it's me. We're family. We need you. Your daughter needs you. I need you, and I love you, I don't say it often but I do love you." That's when he let go of the blade. Sobs and hiccups left Irene's mouth constantly. Dean was moaning in pain, his whole body ached. Cas touched the tablet, it made him glowing more than before. That was what brought Irene out of the shock.

"Daddy? I'm so sorry. Why didn't I stop him? I let this happen." guilt ran through every cell in her body. Dean shook his head painfully.

"No, no babygirl. It's not your fault." as Castiel moved his hand closer to Dean's face, Irene got more and more scared.

"Cas?" Dean called him out.

"No, Cas, Cas." He placed his right hand on Dean's face, not to hurt him but to heal. He wasn't feeling any pain anymore, he just kissed his daughter's head with his widened eyes staring at Castiel.

"I'm so sorry Dean." Irene lifted her head to look at them both.

"What the hell just happened?" Dean stood up and faced him, Cas didn't take another minute for their lives to be screwed up again. He kissed Dean passionately; forgetting his daughter is watching.

"I love you too Dean." they smiled hard until hearing the sound of Irene clearing her throat.

"Moonshine, I didn't mean to hurt you like that. I should've been there. I should've helped, I can never apologize enough." Cas said with a tear dropping his eyes. Irene got in the middle of them, embracing the men.

Castiel explained everything, from how he got out of purgatory to how he ended up almost killing Dean.

"So, Naomi has been controlling you since she got you out of purgatory?" Dean asked. He didn't pause even a minute to rub Irene's back for comforting her.

"Yeah."

"Well, what broke the connection?" Dean took a step back as he spoke.

"I think you did. But all I know right now is that I have to protect this tablet now." Dean looked down at what he had in hand.

"From Naomi?" Irene asked quietly and huskily after all the tears.

"Yes."
"And from you." Dean's eyes widened after the long hesitation Cas made.

"From me? What are you talking about?" Irene felt as if she knew her father is gonna leave again. She hugged him quickly.

"I love you both, don't forget that." just like that he had flown away.

"Cas? Cas? Damn it." Dean held Irene tighter.

"Dean?" Sam's voice echoed in the ancient room.

"Dean. Where's Cas?" Sam eyed around as he asked.

"He's gone. Meg?"

"We gotta go now." the way Sam was talking and panting showed something was wrong. Dean held Irene's hand as they ran out, following Sam. The boys got in the car but Irene didn't.

"Meg." she saw her bloody face in Crowley's hands.

"Get in." Dean ordered loudly but she didn't listen to him. Her sight was locked on Meg. As she said something to Crowley she also hit him with the angel blade.

Irene ran her fastest to prevent the future she already saw coming that morning in the car.

"NO!" she was too late, Crowley already stabbed her.

"Irene" Sam was quick on her trail. Before she could move further, two strong hands were wrapped around her waist. Carrying her shortly to the car.Β

"No, no. Let me save her." she cried out, begging her father and uncle.

"Meg!" she yelled, trying to escape his arms however she was no match.

Sam nor Dean said a word after the car started to move. She let her whole heart out. It was a lot for a child to take in just one day; everything just crashed on her. Sam was sitting on the passenger seat with Irene on his lap. He held the back of her head to his chest as she began to calm down. A few hiccups, sobs, and soft sniffles were all they could hear from her until she fell asleep in his arms.

"Is she asleep?" Dean took his eyes off the road for a short moment.

"About five minutes ago." Dean turned on the radio but lowered the volume.

"Good."
