You knew the Shinazugawa family since you were little. Genya's and your parents were quite in a good relationship, so they let you sometimes stay with them. You of course were very glad they did so...but that's when all the bad stuff had happened. The bad news you heard, made your heart shatter, in to million of pieces, like it was glass. Only Sanemi and Genya survived...and the rest was gone...

Flashback
Years after you joined the demon slayers, to revenge all people you lost, all that meant something to you, it was a promise. „Oi dumbass! Get back here!". Yep, after all these stuff you met Sanemi again, sadly no Genya. It was told to you that they had an argument, and went separate ways. „What the hell do you want again?! Don't you see that I'm cleaning my sword?". He looked now pissed, very pissed. „You should get your ass movin', that big forehead boy wants to talk to you, now". He emphasized the now really hastily and made his way back to training. „He never gets to be nice and kind, what a shame". You whispered the last part that it was just audible for you to hear.

You met Tanjiro at the entrance with someone standing beside him. 'Wants he to introduce me to a newbie? Is that a new member of the slayers? He seems sooooo familiar?'" You were so deep in thoughts that Tanjiro had to shake you a bit. „O-oh sorry!!! I was thinking...so what do you need me for?". You smiled at him before he could answer, you were wrapped in strong, warm arms. You immediately knew who it was...Genya.
„How dare you run away like this?! Arguing with Sanemi and not telling me about it?!". You slapped the back of his head, groaning he looked you in your teary (e/c) eyes. In no time a blush rose to his cheeks. „I-I...uh i-it...gosh...". He turned away, leaving you and Tanjiro confused. „Is there something wrong Genya? Does something bother you?". He peeked through his fingers, turning back to you now but still not taking his hands away. The boy beside you took the hint and went away, winking in process.
„I get r-really nervous a-around girls...especially y-you...". „But what is the matter? Is my-WAIT A FRICKIN MINUTE!!! Did you just confesed?!". He nodded several times before taking his hands away. „I had a very big crush on you...I-". You hugged him tightly and looking softly back up at him. „Your such an adorable sweetheart, and always were".

You woke up sweating, panting and...crying? You looked around, and your eyes fell on one pile of clothes...Genya's clothes. Slowly the memories came back, bringing a horribel time back. Soon there were footsteps and Sanemi entered the room with some tissues. „You know he wouldn't want that...besides I will be protecting you now...I won't let him nor you down...bzt remember he loves you. He will always and never will stop, here". As his words touched you, more tears spilled. Loud sobs and sniffles were heard but muffled as Sanemi hugged you close.

„Remeber (Y/N)-chan: I will always and forever love you, no matter what comes in the future, because your my future. I'll really miss you, but I will come back so we can spend our lost time together again. So...see you soon!".

I will always be dreaming about you, may you rest above the brightest stars Genya. We both love you, very much...

Ugh I had this idea like a real fluff in my head, but eventually it turned into a sad one, sry.
