There were many names to describe Mia Janet. Some would call her crazy, and the others would call her a nut-job. Either way, Mia Janet was Mia Janet, her own person who didn't let others tell her what to do. Her life seemed to be the best up until her death. No one expected Mia Janet's death to be murder, but they declared it so when her parents found 3 bullets in their daughter's chest as she lay un-moving.

Mia surprisingly woke up as Josette Olivia Saltzman, and she decided that she was going to be Mia Janet underneath her new skin, because it's not like anyone would know she was a different person. Being a teenager again was definitely going to suck, especially since she woke up as a 15 year old Josie, but it also seemed like a lot of things were different.

For example, there was no Malivore or Landon, or anything else out of the ordinary. At least out of ordinary for a supernatural school. It did seem as though Alaric was still favoring Hope Mikaelson ( more commonly known as Hope Marshall to everyone else ) over his own daughters, but Mia, or Josie now, couldn't care less. It was only Lizzie, her new sister who did, and at every chance she got she complained ( not that Josie could blame her ).

After she overheard Alaric ( there was no way Josie was calling him 'dad' because to her he didn't deserve the title ) tell Hope that he was proud of her and wished that Lizzie was more like her, she vowed to be the best twin sister she could. She didn't blame Hope seeing as the older girl just nodded and walked out uncomfortably with anger shining heavily in her eyes. Hope never tolerated shitty parents, especially fathers since her's was mostly absent. She would never wish that kind of pain on anyone else, and Josie knew that.

She, Hope, and Lizzie also seemed to be somewhat friends. Not exactly besties but not frenemies either. They sympathized with each other, ranted to one another, sat with each other, and studied with each other, but agreed that they were just acquaintances.

Growing up as a Gen-Z teenager hadn't been the best experience for Mia, and having to do it all over again would be kind of stressful. There were just some habits that were harder to break. Luckily, she was in a world where she would have family to help her through her struggles just like she would do for them.

Mia Janet may have become Josie Saltzman, but she was still a crazy pants, and nothing would ever change that. It's just who she is, and blaming her Uncle Kai ( something Alaric would do every time Lizzie or Josie made a mistake ) wouldn't change that. But it would give her an excuse so she just shrugs and continues whatever she was doing.
