7β˜†Ν™||Okinawa Part 1

AN: I probably should've mentioned this earlier but "Italic words in quotation marks", indicates that Saiki's speaking through telepathy. No italics means he's saying it out loud! Hope that makes sense :)

Saiki's POV: once again, it's that time of the year... time for the class trip to Okinawa. Personally, I'm not bothered about going. I mean, I can teleport anywhere I want in the world for free. Although, my classmates are a whole other story. No matter where I go, the word 'Okinawa' is all I can hear.

"(Y/n), are you looking forward to the trip?" Kaidou asked as you and the others walked home from school. The flight to Okinawa was scheduled for tomorrow.

"Yeah, of course!" You replied, "My apartment's a little shabby so it'd be nice to stay in a hotel. I've always wanted to visit Okinawa as well."

"It's great that we're all in the same group together... well, except for Nendou." Kuboyasu looked over at Nendou. You were in a group with Kaidou, Kuboyasu, Saiki, Teruhashi and Yumehara. Originally, Mera was in your group but she was unable to come. You felt bad that she had to miss out on the trip but at least this meant you could be in a group with your friends. No surprise, Teruhashi was pleased that she somehow ended up in Saiki's group, as usual. She must really have god on her side.

The night faded away and it was the dawn of a new day. The majority of your classmates, including yourself, had barely slept last night due to excitement. Everyone had met at the airport with their luggage packed, it was only a couple days but people acted like they were packing for a month long trip. You stood with your friends as you waited to board the plane. Hairo paced the airport with a clipboard in hand, taking note of attendance.

"Hey Kaidou, have you seen Kuboyasu?" you asked.

"Now that you mention it... he's not here!" Kaidou panicked. It seems from all the excitement, he didn't even notice there was one valuable member of the group missing. "Do you think... Dark Reunion took him?"

"Not even Dark Reunion can beat Kuboyasu, he's fine." You assured the blue haired boy. "Although... I hope he arrives soon. We're supposed to be boarding soon."

Saiki's POV: Good grief... I thought things would go smoothly for once. I wonder what kind of trouble Kuboyasu got himself into? I better find him with clairvoyance.

Saiki crossed his eyes and searched the nearby area for Kuboyasu. After a few seconds, he finally managed to locate him patting a cat on the side of a footpath.

Saiki's POV: That's what's holding him up? At least I don't have to intervene. I'm hoping that I don't have to use my powers for this entire trip, maybe then I could enjoy it more.

Some time had passed and Kuboyasu made an appearance, with still a few minutes to spare before take off, "Hey guys." he waved.

"Dude! Where have you been? We were beginning to worry you wouldn't make it." you said, soon picking up on strong happiness emitting from Kuboyasu. It must've made him happy to know that you all cared so much.

"Sorry 'bout that. I had some important business to attend to." the purple haired boy responded.

"SO IT WAS DARK REUNION! I'm glad you could get away safe.. you were lucky to escape from their clutch without my aid, Kuboyasu!" Kaidou pointed at Kuboyasu dramatically, no one could be bothered to say anything and just went along with Kaidou's fantasy.

It wasn't long before the PE teacher who was responsible for the class announced it was time to take off. Everyone grabbed their bags and boarded the plane. You sat in between Teruhashi and Yumehara, which made the flight a little exhausting seeing as they didn't stop talking. Although, you appreciated that Yumehara brought snacks with her. "Good thinking on bringing snacks, Yumehara! You brought so many as well."

"Of course, (y/n)!" she smiled. "By the way, you can call me 'Chiyo' if you like! I mean, we've been friends for over a month now."

"Ah, same for me, (y/n)-chan! I'd love for you to refer to me as 'Kokomi' if you're comfortable with it." Teruhashi suggested.

The girls seemed so genuine with their words, and honestly, this made your heart swell a little. Sure, they both had their issues, but so does everybody. Despite not liking Teruhashi much at first, you could see that even she cares a lot for her friends.

"Wow.. I'd love that! 'Chiyo'... 'Kokomi'!" You smiled. It was nice to hear that they think of you as a friend.

You looked over to your left to see what the boys were up to. Kaidou was barely managing while dealing with motion sickness, Kuboyasu was drawing in a sketchpad and Saiki was just staring out the window. I wonder what he's thinking about?

The second the plane had landed in Okinawa, there was an eruption of cheering coming from your fellow classmates. You underestimated how much they'd been anticipating this. A tour bus picked you all up from the airport shortly after your arrival. After making your way onto the bus, you plodded down the middle and sat yourself next to a window. This was followed by Saiki deciding to sit next to you, and your friends, including Nendou, taking the seats nearby.

I'm glad I'm sitting next to Saiki for the duration of this bus ride. I always feel like I can relax around him and I don't feel any pressure to talk for no reason... although, sometimes I want to talk more often than usual when I'm with Saiki. Even though I doubt he cares or listens to what I'm saying a majority of the time.

The bus seats were small so whenever it turned a corner or went over a bump you'd end up touching shoulders with him. Saiki silently read his book and you stared out the window before speaking up, "Saiki, is there anything you're looking forward to doing?" you asked. He put down his book and shook his head.

"Hmm, mostly everyone's looking forward to the beach." You said. You'd become accustomed to Saiki's either short or silent replies, "Sure, it seems nice, but I'm mostly looking forward to the food honestly. I've heard Okinawa cuisine is great. Oh, and the sightseeing of course!"

A smirk adorned Saiki's face, "Of course you're excited for the food."

"Hey.. says the guy who stares at the coffee jellies in the cafeteria window every day at school." Saiki raised his finger as if he were about to make a point, but slowly lowered it after realizing there wasn't much to say to that.

"Good grief.." was all he had to say. He picked up his book and continued from where he left off.

Saiki's POV: I didn't think it was that obvious.. I'll have to be more subtle from now on.

"Here." you tapped Saiki on the hand and passed him a candy, "Chiyo ended up bringing a surplus of snacks so she gave me some of the leftovers. I already ate the rest but I'm pretty full so you can have this." Saiki looked at the candy, then up at your eyes. Without any more delay, he gently took it from your hands.

"Thanks." he said softly.

"What can I say, I know the way to your heart." You said, jokingly.

Saiki's POV: I actually have to agree with you there, (y/n)..

It was only for a moment, but you picked up on a strong emotion with your powers. It left as quick as it came. It almost felt like a heartbeat. Could that have come from Saiki? I'd become so used to not feeling emotions from him, that I'd almost forgotten about it... no, it was probably something else or it came from somewhere else...

The bus had at last reached its destination. Subsequent to dropping off your bags and eating lunch, everyone was free to wander the area and do whatever they wanted... well, within reason of course.

You and your friends walked down the bustling streets of Okinawa, constantly getting distracted by the various things to do and see. After a couple hours of eating, shopping and sightseeing, you began to feel a little fatigued. There was only so much socializing and being in public that you could handle for one day.

"Hey guys, I'm planning on heading back to the hotel. Anyone wanna come?" you asked, grabbing their attention. Please someone say yes, please someone say yes, I don't want to walk back alone...

Saiki walked towards you, implying he had the same idea.

Saiki's POV: I'm starting to get pretty bored so I may as well take this chance and head back with (y/n).

-

"Ok... so if we took a left here... or was it a right? And the place we ate at earlier was... huh?" you analyzed your surroundings, trying to get a hold on your location. Your sense of direction was... never a strong point of yours. "Hey Saiki... do you reckon we're...?"

"Lost? Yes." Saiki sighed.
