Umbridge pulled Harry and Hermione out of the office and made them lead

her to where the "weapon" was. When the door locked behind them, the Inquisitorial Squad let us go. We had nowhere to go without our wands, so we had no choice but to wait for them to return.

The minutes ticked by, ten minutes, twenty, and soon enough almost forty-five minutes had passed. At this point, we were all doing our own things. Examining the cats on the wall, staring longingly out the window, rummaging through drawers and so on.

I was sat on the floor, head in my hands, my mind racing to figure out what was taking so long. Maybe Umbridge caught on that they tricked her and that there was no weapon and Umbridge is torturing them now while we are here doing nothing to stop it. Think Hazel, think! We need to get out of this!

Crabbe, who was standing next to me, held his stomach as it began to growl deeply. That's when I got an idea. A few days prior to their leaving, Fred and George gave me a pack of Puking Pastilles. Pulling them gently out of my pocket, I rose to my feet and walked towards Umbridge's desk, finding a little bowl containing some rings. I poured the rings onto the desk, making sure I made a lot of noise, so I had everyone's attention, I took the bag of Puking Pastilles and poured them into the bowl.

"What's that?" Pansy sneered.

"Some sweets. I'm quite hungry," I lied

"Pastilles eh Rosewood?" Crabbe asked. "Better share them."

At this point, all of the Slytherins take a pastille and drop it into their mouths. All except Draco, who never liked sweets, even when we were little, and I ate chocolate like a wolf in front of him.

It didn't take long before the vomiting started. Crabbe was the first one to begin. His face became a sickly shade of green, and his stomach was making disgusting noises. The other's followed suit and they began to lean over clutching their stomachs.

"What have you done?" Pansy groaned.

Then it started. The Slytherins rushed over to the window as their vomit comes shooting out. This was everyone's chance to take their wands while the others are preoccupied with their vomit. I gave my friends a signal to go ahead, and they burst open the door and tore out, wands in hand.

As my friends left, I turned towards Draco who is staring in astonishment at his friends.

"Please, you need to understand," I said as I reached into his cloak pocket for my wand. It took him a second to realize what I was doing. I almost slipped away, but Draco caught my wrist before I could leave out the door.

"Wait. Wherever you're going, will it be dangerous?"

"Yes," I said without a moment's hesitation.

"Just..." He struggled for words. "Don't die." He finally said. I smiled a bit.

"I'll try not to," I replied rushing up to him and kissing him on the cheek before darting out of the office and out of the classroom to catch up with the rest of my friends. I caught up with them by the time we all reached the courtyard, and we made our way to the bridge. As we ran, we saw two figure's running towards us. Harry and Hermione.

"How'd you get away?" Hermione asked.

"Puking Pastilles. It wasn't pretty," Ginny replied.

"Told them I was hungry, wanted some sweets. They told me to bugger off and ate it themselves," I replied cheerfully, as Ron handed Harry and Hermione their wands.

"That was clever, Hazel." Hermione complimented.

"So how are we getting to London?" Neville asked Harry from behind me. We all look to Harry expectantly.

"Look, it's not that I don't appreciate everything you've done, all of you but I've got you into enough trouble as it is," said Harry as he pushed past us to go through.

"Dumbledore's Army's supposed to be about doing something real. Or was that all just words to you?" Neville rebutted.

"Maybe you don't have to do this all by yourself, mate," Ron added.

Harry looked at each one of us before asking, "So how are we going to get to London?"

We all fell silent, looking rather scared. The problem facing us seemed insurmountable.

Nobody expected Luna to chirp an answer.

"We fly, of course!"

. . .

After running across the bridge towards the forest, I caught onto Luna's idea. Thestral. That's what she had in mind. Together, we led the way to the Thestrals. We got to the open patch of area, and looked around at the beautiful creatures. Harry, Luna and I stood in amazement at the creatures.

After explaining to the others why they couldn't see them, we lifted them onto their Thestrals. Shrieks and screams were heard by the others as we took off into the sky.

I felt the wind rush through my hair as we soared off to London in the evening air.

. . .

"Department of Mysteries," the voice of the lift said as the doors opened to reveal a long black hallway with a single door at the very end.

"This is it," Harry said not taking his eyes off the door.

We slowly made our way towards it. Once we are through the door, we arrived in a room so large that the entire Rosewood Mansion could fit in it. Shelves were filled high with crystal balls. We lit our wands and began to take our journey down the aisle.

Suddenly, there was a deep rumble from behind us, we all turned towards the sound, but nothing was there except the door from which we came from. We turned back to Harry for instructions. Harry brought his wand up so he could see the numbers on the shelves. With a burst of hope, he began to stride down the aisle of shelves again.

"Ninety-two... Ninety-three... Ninety-four... Ninety-five..." Harry murmured to himself as we passed each shelf. He stopped a little away and moved his wand around, so the light was shining on different parts of the floor. He turned to us, "He should be here."

"Harry." Neville said, "It's got your name on it."

We turned towards Neville, who was pointing towards a small ball with gray clouds on its inside.

Harry made his way over to us. He stared at the ball before glancing at us with an outstretched hand when finally, he took the ball of the stand. It began to talk soon after in a raspy voice,

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. And the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal, but he shall have power the Dark Lord knows not. For neither can live while the other survives."

"Harry!" Hermione shrieked. We all whipped around at the sound of her voice. A single Death Eater was making their way towards us, it's face covered, wearing a long black robe.

"Where's Sirius?" Harry demanded.

The Death Eater kept making his way towards us, "You know, you really should learn to tell the difference between dreams" he unsheathes his wand "and reality" He flicked his wand past his mask that was covering his face which caused it to turn into smoke, revealing the face beneath it.

Lucius Malfoy

"You saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see. Now, hand me the prophecy" demanded Lucius.

Harry shook his head. "If you do anything to us, I'll break it."

A female cackle was heard from behind Lucius. A woman stepped into the light; her hair was messy and black, and she wore a tight black corset. Her face was skinny and hollow as though she hadn't eaten in years.

Bellatrix Lestrange.

"He knows how to play! Itty, bitty baby. Potter." Bellatrix drawled. At this point Lucius noticed me. His eyebrows raised slightly, but he said nothing.

"Bellatrix Lestrange," Neville said staring at the woman who tortured his parents. He looked like his heart was being torn in two.

"Neville Longbottom, is it? How's Mum and Dad?" she asked teasingly.

"Better, now they're about to be avenged!" Neville raised his wand, as did Bellatrix, but Harry and I grabbed him and held him back before he could do something stupid.

"Now, let's everybody just calm down shall we?" said Lucius slowly putting his hands up. "All we want is that prophecy."

"Why did Voldemort need me to come and get this?" Harry asked.

Bellatrix erupted in anger. "You dare speak his name? YOU FILTHY HALF-BLOOD!" Her voice echoed around the large room.

"It's all right." Lucius attempted to calm down his sister in law, "He's just a curious lad, aren't you? Prophecies can only be retrieved by those about whom they are made. Which is lucky for you, really." More Death Eaters began to crowd us.

"Haven't you always wondered what was the reason for the connection between you and the Dark Lord?" Lucius began to creep towards us. "Why he was unable to kill you when you were just an infant? Don't you want to know the secret of your scar? All the answers are there, Potter, in your hand. All you have to do is give it to me. Then I can show you everything."

Harry scanned the orb his hand and muttered, "I've waited 14 years..."

"I know," Lucius said sympathetically stepping even closer.

"I guess I can wait a little longer. NOW!"

That was our cue.

"STUPEFY!" We yelled in unison. I watched, happily, as Bellatrix went flying back.

With that, we all sped down the aisle of the shelves, my feet running as they never had before. We skidded to a halt when Lucius re-materialized in front of us, hand outstretched for the prophecy.

"Stupefy," yelled Harry, missing Lucius by a hair as the man disappeared into the smoke around him. We dashed off again.

In the midst of chaos, we all got separated. Luna and I somehow stayed together as we stepped back in fear. Then, as though a rush of wind flew past our ears, a Death Eater emerged from the smoke. As we turned around, he punched our chins causing our lips to bleed from the impact.

"Levicorpus!" Luna shouted sending the Death Eater into the air.

We got up and trying to find the others. We came across Neville, who in an attempt to defend himself, froze a Death Eater with, Petrificus Totalus.

"Well done, Neville." Luna congratulated as she took Neville's hand pulling him away.

We charged off again, our spells firing into the air at the Death Eaters that appeared from nowhere. As one followed behind us, I mustered enough anger to throw a fireball at his face, causing him to bend down in agony of his singeing face. He backed into a shelf causing the spheres to fall off, dropping and crashing to the ground in millions of tiny pieces.

Together, we turned the corner, Ginny, now at our side, and crashed into the rest of the group, screaming in fear and surprise. Another Death Eater came flying at us and Ginny, with full confidence shouted, "REDUCTO!"

A white flash exploded down the aisle of shelves, sending the Death Eater flying back. Everyone stopped to stare and the damage and marvel at the spell when we notice spheres had begun to drop off their shelves in a domino effect.

Yet again, we were on our feet, dashing the other way in fear of being killed as Harry shouted, "Get back to the door!"

I felt a searing pain against my cheek and realized I'd been cut, just like when we were attacked by a troll in the first year. I created a type of force field around us, strong enough to protect us from the falling pieces orbs.

At the end of the aisle, we were all grateful to see a blue doorway. Everyone noticed it, and as the blood coursed through our body, we ran to the door hearing as the shelves that were smashing into each other were getting louder and closer by the second.

Harry threw the door open, and we dashed through not realizing there was no other side as we began to fall into the dark abyss. I could only scream as I tumbled through the air. I could see the stone rapidly getting closer and closer. With a final gasp before crashing into the ground, Harry is stopped by a particular force. We followed suit and were caught, hovering only inches from the ground. Then as though the force had been broken, we fell with a thud onto the cold ground.

Breathing heavily, we all pulled ourselves back onto our feet. We scanned our environment as Ron said.

"Department of Mysteries. They got that bit right, didn't they?" Ron asked trying to lighten the mood. It didn't work as Harry's eyes were glued to an archway in the middle of the room. He began to draw closer to it, us following in his wake. Between the arch, were streaks of light, similar to the ones of the orbs, which floated aimlessly.

"The voices." Harry stated, "Can you tell what they're saying?"

Now that he mentioned it, I could hear the voices too. They were like whispers, so quiet that it was impossible to figure out what they were saying. There were many voices, those from around the world with accents, tones.

"There aren't any voices, Harry." I heard Hermione reply, "Let's get out of here."

"I hear them too." Luna and I said in unison stepping closer to the archway. I turned to look at the rest of our group members. By the looks on their faces, they couldn't hear the voices.

"Harry, it's just an empty archway. Please, Harry!" Hermione pleaded, growing desperate to leave.

Suddenly, there was a sound like rushing wind behind us. Harry snapped out of his trance and turned around looking up. He drew out his wand and ordered, "Get behind me!"

We all stood behind the boy with the drawn wand, and pull out our wands pointing in the same direction as him. We pointed at the black smoke swirling downwards, but we barely hade time to do anything before they were swirling around us our hair whipping around our faces as the Death Eaters clawed and grabbed at us, trapping us and taking our wands from our grasps. I was flung back and just as fast as the smoke appeared, it was gone, revealing my position.

A male Death Eater who smelled of whiskey has me by my long hair, yanking my hair back with his wand against my chin. I try to wrestle out of the man's grip, but he was too strong, my wandless powers long forgotten in fear.

I noticed Harry still on the ground where the rest of us were just standing. He forced himself to his feet and looked around to the rest of us each being held against our will.

There was a low chuckle heard from the center. "Did you actually believe, or were you truly naive enough to think, that children stood a chance against us?" Lucius asked as he made his way towards Harry his walking stick making a clicking sound against the tile.

"I'll make this simple for you, Potter." Lucius outstretched his hand again, "Give me the prophecy now or watch your friends die."

"Don't give it to him, Harry," I cried knowing that they wouldn't kill us as a bribe to Harry.

The Death Eater yanked my hair. I whimpered in pain. "Shut up blood-traitor." The Death Eater snarled into my ear viciously.

The Death Eaters watched in glee- the rest of us in horror- as Harry slowly handed the prophecy to Lucius. Tears sprung to my eyes. Surely they'll kill us now.

Lucius held the orb into the air for the rest of the Death Eaters to see when there was a bright white flash from behind the long-haired man. Is that...? No...

"Get away from my godson." Sirius Black told Lucius Malfoy.

And with a pulled back fist, Sirius punched Lucius across the face. Lucius fell, and more bright flashes of light appeared by our sides. As Lucius rolled off the stones, the prophecy was shattered right before his eyes. I saw Tonks, as she took out the Death Eater holding me captive and took hold of my arm, leading me to behind a rock where the rest of my friends are being deposited. We all huddled together watching as the scene unfolded in front of our eyes.

With great joy, I remembered my magic and created a force field around us again. I would use my fireballs but I was in fear of accidentally hitting someone of the Order.

I saw Harry and Sirius side by side dueling against Lucius and another of his Death Eater comrades. Harry was able to disarm Lucius,

earning a "Nice one, James!" from Sirius.

He finished Lucius off by hitting him in the chest and sending him flying back.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"

No! No! No!

With a flash of green light, my worst fear, I saw it hit Sirius full in the chest. He paused and took one good look at Harry before he stumbled into the veil between the archway and his body was taken away from us. Remus, smart enough to see the pain already forming in Harry's eyes, rushed forward to wrap his arm around Harry's body. Harry struggled with all his might to be released from his grip, but Remus would not let go. Finally giving up, Harry let out the most sorrowful scream I had ever heard as the last bit of family he had that cared for him, was now gone.

Then his eyes found something; I followed his gaze towards the crazy hair woman who was sneaking away. With a burst of a new idea, Harry ripped himself from Remus' arms and began to chase after his godfather's killer. Hermione and I gasped. I suddenly felt sick, as though I might puke at any moment yet instead, I fell unconscious, my head hitting the cold stone floor before everything went black.
