"Team! Gather round, I have your dorm rooms"

Bombay called towards the team when they were at the airport.

"Okay... First room is Jesse, Guy and Lester. Second room is Charlie and Adam. Third room is Luis, Goldberg, Dwayne and Ken. Fourth is Dean and Fulton and fifth is Julie, Connie and Ryleigh. You guys got it?"

Everybody nodded and resumed their chatter. Lee turned away from her coach to see Dwayne and Luis high-fiving about the fact that they were going to be rooming together for the Goodwill Games.

"So you guys wanna sit together on the plane?" Lee asked the group as they started walking towards the gate for their flight. A chorus of agreement followed after and the group of four decided how to pair up.

Okay so... I'm sitting with you Rye and Dwayne is sitting with Luis?" Ryleigh nodded and pointed out, "I just said that didn't I?"

The team had boarded the plane that Mr Tibbles's company had provided. It was a small, private jet plane, which meant the team could choose their own seats. Les guided the group of four towards the backseats, his reasoning being that they would be nearer to the toilets (you can all tell that Luis rolled his eyes at this).

Two people sat down in the seat in front of Lee, she looked over and saw that it was Guy and Jesse. The darker boy saw her looking through the gap of the scratchy plane seats through his peripheral - he turned his head to smile and nod at the girl. She immediately waved and smiled back and started pulling out a small card game from her carry-on bag.

"Top Trumps?" Les questioned with confusion.

"Disney Top Trumps" Lee replied back, putting emphasis on the word 'Disney', "Wanna play Carrot Top?".

Les nodded, not aware of the consecutive losses he was about to go through in the next two hours.

Finally Team USA made it to the Junior Goodwill Games. Everyone around Ryleigh was taking photos and pointing to specific monuments of LA and towards the huge building that was hosting the games.

"This place is so freakin' cool!" Lee exclaimed, looking at every one of her surroundings, though the sights on her left were shielded by her brother's tall stature. "Isn't this place amazing?" she cried out to nobody in particular, but got a reply, "It's pretty nice, real big." 

Ryleigh's head spun around towards her right to see Jesse already glancing at her. She continued the conversation with awkward descriptions of the hills in the background of her view. She quickly regained her confidence when he stared at her confusedly and started to talk more about the countries that the team would be taking on in the competition.

Watching her team play on the ice, Ryleigh feels an excitement creeping up her body. The girl watches as her fellow teammates pass each other the puck, which eventually Connie scores. She feels somebody bring her hand up in celebration and looking towards her left, she sees Lester shaking her arm and jumping up and down while howling shouts of success.

Whilst taking a sip of water, she hears a jeering tone say, "Yeah, high-five some more. Man, my little brother could score on these guys."

Jesse, who was right next to her, snapped, "Go bother him, then!" to which the joker replies, "Ha-ha! I ain't even got a little brother!"

Lee snickered into her hand as Jesse looked at her with annoyance while the boy's face smiled even more at the obvious expression of amusement on her face. Jesse nudged the girl saying that it wasn't funny before being called out onto the ice - she then whispered to Lester about how she thought it was hilarious before he got called onto the ice as well.

Finding her place beside Luis, she started to watch Jesse as he played. He was the one who currently had the puck. He looked so focused at getting the disc into the goal that he didn't pay attention to the player who dived right in front of him, making the boy trip and slide right into the goal - without the puck.

The team's groans could have been heard throughout the stadium as Jesse got up and pushed the player who slid in front of him. As a consequence, he was put into the box.

Luis mumbled about losing a player so Lee thought this was a good opportunity to mock him by saying, "Awe, don't be sad Lulu! Maybe you'd get a chance to play again, Sir Speedster"

Luis rolled his eyes and grumbled, "First of all, don't call me Lulu", and Ryleigh interjected, saying that she's going to call him Lulu from now on, "I mean it Portman, don't call me Lulu. Second of all, Coach is calling the both of us to play right now."

The girl, who was finally happy that she got a chance to play, climbed over the wall separating her from the ice and joined in the game along with her brother and his newfound friend, Fulton. Lee saw her brother start to do his usual routine on the ice where he pushes down the opponents and before long, he got a hold of the puck.

"Take the puck Rye!" Dean yelled as he passed the black object towards his sister. "Alright Portman take it!" Fulton shouted once the puck reached Lee. She starts to skate closer to the goal where she shoots the puck and manages to score!

The members of the team out on the ice come in for a group hug, and everyone pat Ryleigh on the back. However, when the group separated from their huddle, Dean and Fulton dragged her onto the centre of the ice, the both of them acting like those actors at the end of a play - bowing in gratitude towards the audience. What Ryleigh didn't expect was to be lifted up towards the crowd for everyone to see and Dean declaring that she was his sister to anyone who could hear over the immense cheering.

Mr Tibbles was at the top of the stands, pointing out the pair of enforcers cheering them on and exclaiming, "Look at those guys! Look at 'em! They're the Bash Brothers! And her, a Bash Sister!"

Lee is sitting in the stands with whom she now considered to be her friend group. Her and Luis watch the match play while Dwayne and Les play numerous games of Rock, Paper, Scissors. 

Lee views the match playing out in front of her as the puck is taken away from Adam at centre ice, which ultimately leads to the opposing team scoring.

Even with her upset that the other team had scored, Lee couldn't help but bob her head along to the music playing out loud from somewhere in the stands. Dwayne and Lester catch onto this as they start dancing around to the music with Luis grinning at the three and rolling his eyes when being asked to join in.

"Trinidad may be an enemy team, but man do they have such cool music" Lee says while moving Dwayne's shoulders around, making it look as if he was going crazy.

It was now nearing the end of the game. With only a couple minutes left, Connie gets the puck and stops it from being stolen by Trinidad. She passes the puck towards Ken and he manages to score it into the goal, signifying a win for Team USA.

Bombay gets the whole team to gather on their side of the ice in a huge celebration huddle. Having won 9-2 with her team, Lee felt over the moon as she walked towards the locker room whilst slapping the back of her friend's shoulders.

A/N - Man it's probably been over a month since I've last updated. 

Anyways, we're just going to ignore my absence and I'm going to talk about how much I love writing this friendship group dynamic with Ryleigh, Lester, Luis and Dwayne. Literally my faves. I'm also thinking of writing another fic because I have now found an obsession with some other things, The Black Phone, Top Gun and Cobra Kai/Karate Kid. So I might write something about these in the future if y'all would like it.
