โ€ขWhen You Know You Knowโ€ข

Theres a saying; When you know you know.
And to be quite honest, I never understood that saying until I met Aaron.

I'd been through so much heart break that I was so afraid I'd never find the ONE, I didn't think I'd ever know.

He was so different, he was sweet, and kind, and so handsome, but he was gentle.
He was my gentle love, the one I've always dreamed of.
His touch was soft, even with his calloused hands, it was gentle, every kiss, every touch, every lingering stare... he was my gentle love.

"Y/n." Aaron spoke softly pulling me from my thoughts of him.
"Hi darling." I quickly spun around falling into him, he'd been at a game best part of the night, I'd decided to stay home tonight.
"How's your night been?" He pressed a kiss to my head as he breathed in the scent of me.
"Calm."
"I'm glad." Aaron worked hard every day, as did I, our lives get so hectic, and tonight was my night off, to just be in the moment and relax. And I did. And it was calm.

"I've got supper in the oven." I whispered into the silence.
"I smelled it when I came in." He chuckled swaying us, we'd yet to move from our hugging position.
"Your favorite." I giggled.
"You're so perfect." He smiled as he lifted me off the ground to press a kiss to my lips.
"Your perfect."
"My perfect."

When Aaron and I first started dating I'd had so many times where I over thought our relationship.
I would cry 24/7 because I never felt pretty enough for him...
One night he said "you're my perfect." And I didn't know what he meant... but I do now, because I know...

"You know, this doesn't smell as good as it looks." I laughed as I took the foil off of the dish I'd had cooking in the oven.
"It never does." Aaron laughed wrapping his arms around me from behind.
"It tastes good though." He added right before pressing his lips to my neck.
"Very."

"Thank you." Aaron pulled my hair behind my ear.
"You're welcome darling, I'm glad you liked it." I finished loading the dishwasher, I'm so tired, sleep was a must, but... Aaron had other plans.

"There's a saying; When you know you know.
And I never understood that saying until I met you." Aaron tucked my hair behind my ear once more.
"You didn't?" My breath hitched, this was so out of no where.
"I didn't know love to its fullest potential until I met you. You are love, and happiness, you are my present and my future. And you are the one."
And with that Aaron got down, on one knee, and he said, "Y/n Y/m/n Y/l/n, make me the happiest man in every universe, and just say yes..." He used a Taylor Swift lyric which made me giggle through the mass amount of tears that had formed during his speech.
"Oh Aaron... yes." I nodded my head still sobbing as he slid the gorgeous diamond on my ring finger.

"My perfect." He whispered kissing my tears.
"Loving you forever. That's my perfect." I laid my forehead against his chest, still crying, this felt like something from a story book! But it was real, and he's real, and I'm engaged!
