━━━━━━━━━━ You feel like your head is about to explode. All you can hear are loud noises coming from outside making you sit up with a grasp.

"Hey, hey, you're okay. You're safe" Damon says moving closer to you

You're eyes focus more on the surroundings around you and you see that you are in your bedroom under the covers in your bed with Damon sitting at the edge.

"Damon?" you ask as as he grabs onto your hand "What happened?"

"You were in an accident" Damon tells you

"Oh my god. Elena, is she okay?" you ask him quickly

"She's fine, Stefan pulled her and Matt from the car" Damon says sitting up straight

"How did, how-"

"How did he save you? He didn't" Damon says making you look at him confused

"Are you saying that- that i'm..." you trail off

"When Jeremy brought you to the hospital before all of this happened, your injuries were worse than anyone knew. Meredith Fell made a choice. She used my blood to heal you" Damon explains making you run your hand over your face "And when Rebecca ran Matt's truck off the road, you had vampire blood in your system"

"So, i'm dead" you say with a sigh as Damon doesn't answer you "This isn't how it was supposed to happen"

"Maybe it doesn't have to. I talked to Bonnie. She said she's stronger than ever. There might be something she can do to help you" Elena says at the door

"No, the only thing that's going to help is for you to feed and complete the transition" Damon says looking at you

"We have all day before she has to feed, Damon. That's a day to exhaust every possible way out of this" Elena tells him

"There is no way out of it! We all know the drill... You feed or you die. There is no door number three" Damon snaps standing up from the bed

"There is no point in looking for another way out" you say looking up at the two

"(y/n), if we can find another way for you to not become a vampire then we should take it" Elena says stepping into your room more

"It's not like i don't want to become one" you tell her "I know that one day i would turn and it just so happened to be now" you say standing up from the bed

"But, (y/n)-"

"This is my choice, Elena, not yours" you say cutting her off "If i want to do this, then i will"

Damon puts a hand on your shoulder as you are already showing your heightened emotions. You take deep breath and close your eyes before opening them again.

"Can i please just be alone" you say making Elena nod

"Of course" she says and walks out shutting the door behind her

Damon then steps forward and kisses the side of your head before he goes to walk to your bedroom door.

"Not you" you say grabbing his arm "I want you to stay"

"Are you sure?" Damon asks you softly

You nod your head before getting back into the bed and you move into the middle making some room for Damon at the end and he sits up against the headboard as you move to lay down with your head on his chest and he wraps his arms around you.

"You're overwhelmed" Damon says looking down at you

"Extremely" you say with a sigh "I know this will just get my emotions all crazy"

You then roll on your back and look up at the ceiling making Damon look down and he starts to run his hand through your hair.

"I think i just need some time before i drink any blood" you say sitting up to cross your legs "Some time before my whole life changes"

"Whatever you need" Damon says and looks straight ahead

"I will compete the transition" you say grabbing onto his hand "You know that, right?"

"Do you want that?" Damon asks looking at you

"It wasn't supposed to be now. I wanted to wait a couple more years, but there is nothing we can do about it. I'm going to become a vampire no matter what" you say squeezing Damon's hand

"I'm sorry that this has happened-"

"It's not your fault" you say cutting Damon off "If it wasn't for your blood then i would be dead"

"I just wish it went differently" Damon says grabbing onto your hand with both of his

"I know, me too"

Your head snaps to the bathroom where you hear this annoying buzzing sound and you see Jeremy in the bathroom.

"Jer!" you say getting off the bed

Jeremy's head snaps towards you and he rushes into your bedroom and moves to pull you into a tight hug.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy asks and pulls away to look at you "I watched Vickie go through this. She was a mess. Her emotions were all over the place. All of these old memories came flooding back"

"I'm fine. I'm not Vickie" you say with a eye roll and pull away

"No, you're not. You're you. You act like everything's okay so no one worries about you and don't except any help from anybody" Jeremy says crossing his arms

"I said I'm fine, okay?" you snap at him but stop and take a deep breath "I... I'm sorry, i shouldn't have snapped"

"It's okay, take a deep breath, you might have a panic attack" Jeremy says and you groan annoyed

"I won't have one" you say turning around "Just leave me alone!"

"(y/n)-"

"Hey" Damon says getting off the bed "Lets talk" he says and takes Jeremy out into the hallway

"She's different. She never snaps at me like this" Jeremy says looking at your bedroom door

"Shes overwhelmed. All her emotions are heightened. You just need to give her some time" Damon tells him

"I need her. I need my sister, not another one of you" Jeremy snaps at him

"Listen" Damon says crossing his arms "There is nothing else we can do. She wants to compete the transition later today and she will, that's what she wants" he tells him

"But Bonnie said-"

"Nothing Bonnie says or does can change the fact that (y/n) is going to become a vampire" Damon says and grabs onto the door handle "For now, leave her be, okay?"

Damon walks back into your bedroom to see you are sitting back in the bed with your head down on the mattress and your hands are over your ears.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Damon asks rushing over to you

"Why didn't you tell me?" you say looking up at him

"Tell you what?" Damon asks sitting in front of you

"That we have met before" you say making Damon's eyes go wide as you sit up straight "The night my parents died"

"They're coming back" Damon says making you nod "I didn't know that i just met the love of my life. How was i supposed to know that everything was about to change for the both of us"

"I thought you were so handsome" you say smiling at him "What were you going to say before my parents car pulled up?"

"So, what do you want?" you then ask him

"A girl who would try and do anything to-"

"I want a girl who would try and do anything to save me from myself or from anyone. A girl who knows me more then myself. A girl who would love me more then life itself" Damon says with a smile on his face "That's what i was going to say"

"Did it come true?" you ask with a smile

"It most certainly did" Damon says leaning in to place a kiss on your lips

You have moved down into the kitchen after you had started to get hungry. You are sitting on the stool as Damon is making you a sandwich.

"Here you go, your favourite" Damon says placing the plate in front of you

"Thank you" you say with a smile

You pick up half the sandwich and take a bite and start to chew it before stopping.

"What? It's disgusting, isn't it?" Damon asks with a chuckle

"Yeah, I'm gonna vomit" you say putting the sandwich down and spit out the last of the food in your mouth into a napkin "All i can think about is blood, maybe i can't wait all day"

"Look, if you change your mind i have a blood bag in the fridge for you" Damon says moving closer to you

"Don't tell me that" you say with a chuckle "Now that's all i'm going to think about"

"Listen" Damon says making you sit up a little "I need to go and run some errands for a couple of hours"

"What do you need to do?" you ask him confused

"Nothing for you to worry about. I wish i could stay with you but i want you to go upstairs where it's dark and i'll message you when im coming back, okay?" Damon says leaning closer to you

"Okay" you say with tears in your eyes "I don't want you to go"

"I know, baby" Damon says wiping under your eyes" I won't be long, i promise"

"I love you so much" you say standing up and wrapping your arms around his neck

"I love you more, my sweet girl" Damon says kissing the side of your head

You are sitting back in your bed going through some photos albums of you with your parents and then some is with Elena and Jeremy and some are with Caroline.

You sit up straight when you hear a noise outside. You drop the photo album and make your way downstairs and outside where you see Stefan.

"Stefan? What are you-"

You stop when you see he is surrounded by deputies with their guns aimed at him.

"(y/n), don't move" Stefan says to you

You are sitting in Pastor Young's house out on a property and you are playing with your rings anxiously.

"Still want to be a artist?" Pastor Young asks you "I remember how you'd draw with my daughter when you'd baby-sit. She still loves drawing because of you" he says

"Why did you bring me here?" you ask him

"My deputies can watch out for us here. No vampires have been invited in" Pastor Young says to you

You turn your head to look at the clock on the wall, that's all you can hear is the ticking making you close you eyes and put a hand on your forehead.

"Look, (y/n), I know it sounds crazy, but years ago it was your parents who were advocating having an emergency plan for this. I never thought we'd actually have to use it" Pastor Young keeps talking

You can then hear the buzzing of the light making you move your head in pain.

"(y/n)? Are you okay?" Pastor Young asks you

"Where's Stefan? Where did you take him?" you ask her

"Where he can't hurt you"

"You have no idea what you are talking about. Stefan is my best friend, he would never hurt me" you tell him annoyed

"Well, I know that where you go, Salvatore vampires seem to follow. Are you hungry?" Pastor Young asks and he walks to the fridge

"No" you say looking away

Pasted Young takes something out of the fridge and grabs a knife putting it on the table.

"So we'll hold Stefan until Damon comes searching for you two. And we'll use Rebekah to lure her siblings back into town. You'll give us the white oak stake, and then we will exterminate the entire vampire race for good" Pastor Young explains to you

He then places a plate of food in front of you making you move back a little bit at the sight.

"Something wrong?" Pastor Young asks you "(y/n), are you okay?"

"Yeah" you say with a nod

You then look down at his neck to hear his heartbeating, the blood pumping through his vains. You need a taste.

"I've got to get out of here" you say getting up

You move out of the house and start running on the grass.

"Get her!"

Your head slowly moves to the side, there is a shooting pain in your eyes as you see that you are laying in a dirty cell.

You turn your head to see that vervain is being filtered into the room by large fans making you sit up to see Rebekah is in a cell across from you.

"I thought I killed you" Rebekah says looking at you

"Well, you did" you say to her "I had Damon's blood in my system. Where are we? Where's Stefan?"

"(y/n), I'm right here"

Stefan's voice is heard from the cell next to you that is blocked by a old brick wall.

"Are you okay?" Stefna asks you

"Well, i- I didn't feed. I need to feed" you say sitting up more

"Ah. You didn't feed and now you're locked up in here without a drop of human blood in sight. That is a problem" Rebekah says from across making you roll your eyes

"Just ignore her" Stefan says to you

"Has anyone done the math, or shall I? I'd say you've got less than three hours to feed before I get to watch you die all over again" Rebekah says with a smile on your face "My day just got a whole lot better"

You are now laying with your back on the ground, your eyes feel heavy as you try to move your head but you feel like your whole body is about to break.

"Stefan..." you trail off

"What happened?" Stefan asks quickly

"I'm out of time. I need Damon" you say with tears in your eyes "I need blood. I'm dying"

"Hey! Anyone! Hey!" Stefan yells as he holds onto the bars of the cell

"Will you shut up?" Rebekah says annoyed

"You think we're afraid of you?" Stefan yells out again

A deputy finally walks in and stops right in front of Stefan's cell.

"You want more vervain? Keep it down" the deputy tells him

"Listen to me. (y/n)'s going to die if you don't let her out of here" Stefan says pointing to your cell

"Sorry. Not my problem" the deputy says with a shrug

"She's innocent. Let her out"

The deputy starts to walk away but Stefaf uses his speed in the cell making the deputy shoot him and Stefan falls back on the floor in pain.

"I said let her out!" Stefan yells getting up again

The deputy just shoots Stefan again before leaving the three alone.

As Stefan calms himself down he rolls on his back and pulls the two wooden bullets out of his leg with a groan.

"(y/n). Are you still with me?" Stefan asks you

You are sitting up against the wall in your cell trying to keep your eyes open an you skin has gone pale.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm here. I'm okay" you say with a heavy sigh

"No, you're not. I can hear your breathing" Stefan says to you

"I should have just feed this morning" you say with tears in your eyes

Suddenly two deputies walk in making Rebekah look up at them. Stefan looks towards Rebekah as she looks at him and she nods.

"I got this. Bring the other one in"

"Excuse me? Sir" Rebekah says looking at the deputy who has stayed

"I thought I told you to shut up" the deputy says walking to her cell

"Here's the thing... My family, we... We have money. Castles, apartments, jewelry. Just name your price and let me out" Rebekah tells him slowly

"I'd much rather watch you die" he says getting closer

Rebekah suddenly rushes towards him with her fangs out making the deputy move away quickly surprised. From Stefan's cell he reaches out and grabs onto the deputy and hits his head on the cell bars multiple times and he falls to the ground with his blood pouring on the floor next to your cell.

"(y/n). (y/n), drink" Stefan says over to you

You open your eyes at the smell of the blood and you see the deputy laying on in front of your cell. You move forward and reach your arm out just out of reach of the blood.

The blood slowly moves towards you and finally your fingers feel the warmth of the blood and as quickly as you can you move your hand back to your mouth and lick the blood off your fingers and you let out a sigh.

Inside Pastor Young's house Damon is laying on the ground with Matt next to him. Two deputies then walk in with their guns up and one of them kicks Damon's feet to see him not moving.

Suddenly Damon jumps up and speeds towards the two deputies and breaks one of the deputies neck before grabbing the other one's gun and stabs him with it.

Matt then coughs awake making Damon turns around to look at him and he moves to stand above Matt.

"Go ahead and kill me. You can't possibly hate me more than I hate myself" Matt spits at Damon

"Oh, yes, I can. It should have been you" Damon tells him angrily

Damon puts his foot on Matt's neck and starts to strangle him. You suddenly speed in throwing Damon off of him making him look to you to see your fangs are out.

Matt suddenly leaves the two alone as you fangs fade away and Damon stands up straight looking at you.

"You were going to kill him" you say to Damon

"Yep. The guy just won't die" Damon says annoyed

"It was my choice to save him and Elean. Why aren't you seeing that?" you ask him as the two of you walk out of the house

"It's a little hard to keep track of all your choices lately, (y/n)" Damon says with a sigh

"You can't seriously be mad at me right now?" you ask him as you follow him to his car

"I'm mad at myself!" Damon says turning to you "I'm mad that i didn't stay with you when you were sick, i didn't save you myself from that car"

"So, if it was you on the bridge last night and not Stefan, and I begged you to save Elena and Matt-"

"I would have saved you in a heartbeat, no question" Damon says cutting you off

"That's what I thought. Then Elean and Matt would be dead. Elena would be dead!" you say with tears in your eyes "What do you think i would be going through right now if my sister was dead?"

"(y/n), you are the only thing i care about in this world, or any world. I don't care if Elena or Matt dies. I care that you are safe, that you are alive and happy" Damon says walking towards you "If that makes me selfish, then so be it, but at least it means that you are safe"

"But i'm a vampire, nothing can change that" you say with a sigh "We both knew it was going to happen"

"Doesn't mean it should of happened last night" Damon says putting a hand on your cheek

"But i'm happy, i'm happy i get to spend eternity together, no matter what" you say smiling you at him

Damon puts his other hand on your cheek and leans down to kiss your lips making you grab onto his arms and kiss him back.

"I love you so much" Damon says onto your lips

"I love you more" you say with a smile "You know nothing will change my love for you, vampire or human"

"It's you and me for eternity" Damon says smiling down at you
