3RD POV

Hayley was in her room trying to finish a song. Her phone buzzed which made Hayley answer the phone without looking who was calling.

"Hello?" Hayley asked.

"Hayley, this Hawke from Hawke records and after reading your interview with Deke." Hawke stated.

"I know, you have been calling my agent, my mom, and me nonstop." Hayley reminded him.

"Ah, yes. So have you changed your mind?" Hawke asked.

"No I haven't. I'm never going to Hawke studios!" Hayley exclaimed before hanging up. She sighed before concentrating on writing.

Meanwhile the guys were reading magazines by the pool,

"Hey, do you guys want to know Dak Zevon's secret to perfect toast?" James asked. Kendall rolled his eyes at the mention of Hayley's ex.

"No." They answered.

"It's all in this month's Pop Tiger." James stated, waving the magazine in his hand.

"What, I want to know is we've been in L.A. for six months. When are we gonna meet some totally cool and hot celebrity, like Jordin Sparks?" Carlos asked after he ripped the magazine from James' hand.

Unbeknownst to the boys, Jordin Sparks walked up to them and asked, "excuse me, I'm looking for Mr. Bitters." They realized Jordin Sparks was actually talking to them and they started freaking out.

"Jordin, Jordin! Jordin, Jordin, Jordin!" The boys called out making her look at them.

"We just wanted to say welcome you to the Palm Woods." Kendall told her.

"We're Big Time Rush." Carlos stated.

"We're recording at Rocque records." James added.

"What are you doing here?" Logan asked.

"Recording at Rocque records." Jordin told them which made them all cough.

"I really hope you understand

I promise to be careful from the start." Jordan finished singing. The boys popped up and started clapping which scared Gustavo.

"Best song ever."
"So good." They said.

"Really? 'Cause I'm not sure I'm feeling it yet." Jordin stated.

"I'm not feeling it either."
"Needs a little more work." They agreed with her.

"Jordin. Jordin. Don't worry about the song, okay? Just take a little more time with it, and give me some time to fill in the chorus and add some layers. This song is gonna be a big hit. It's gonna be great." Gustavo reassured Jordin.

"Dogs, I got a big present for you in my office." Gustavo told them. The boys got excited and walked into Gustavo's office only to see Freight Train who grabbed them and started to squeeze them.

"Freight Train's squeezing us." Kendall stated.

"This is our big present?" James asked.

"Yes, because I want you nowhere near Jordin Sparks." Gustavo explained to them.

"What? Why?" Carlos asked.

"Because you're bad luck and destroy everything you touch." Gustavo stated.

"What? That is so not true." Logan denied as he laid his hand on Gustavo's desk somehow breaking it.
"Sorry."

"Jordin and her team picked me to produce her new song over every producer in this town. 'Cause word on the street is, Gustavo Rocque is back. Now, Jordin is staying at the Palm Woods, which means, if she is by the pool, I want Bad Luck Rush to be in the lobby." Gustavo told them.

Back at the Palm Woods, the boys were watching Jordin Sparks as she was by the pool.

"Bad Luck Rush? He's wrong." James stated.

"Yeah, we're more like good luck charms." Logan stated.

"In fact, the best luck Jordin could have is spending her entire day with me." James said as he pulled out his mirror and comb.
"I mean, us." He corrected himself when Logan, Kendall, and Carlos gave him a look. James dropped his mirror, breaking it.

"You broke a mirror that's seven years of bad luck." Carlos stated.

"That's ridiculous." James said, all bad things started happening to him which freaked him out and made run away.

"Guys, we're not bad luck. And don't let Gustavo get to you. Just enjoy the day like I'm gonna enjoy my day with Hayley by the pool." Kendall stated. He went to go but Logan and Carlos stopped him.

"Gustavo said don't go to the pool if Jordin's there." Logan reminded him.

"Oh, look. She's leaving." Kendall said before walking to the pool. Just as Jordin was about to fall from slipping on a banana peel Kendall caught her.

"Thanks." She told him.

"It was a lucky catch." Kendall stated, still holding onto her.

"Umm...Kendall?" Hayley called out.

"Hayley." He stated looking between Jordin and Hayley. Hayley gave him a questioning look and he stated, "This isn't what it looks like."

"Really? 'Cause it looks like you're embracing Jordin Sparks." Hayley told him.

"It does look like that way, doesn't it?" Jordin asked. Kendall awkwardly chuckled which made Hayley purse her lips and leave.

"Broken mirror, Banana peel, and potentially jealous girlfriend. This place is full of bad luck." Logan stated from watching that mishap.

"We can't avoid Jordin. We have to protect her." Carlos told Logan. They looked at each other as they came up with an idea.

"This looks like a job for...the good luck patrol. Lucky!" They stated, now in black suits.

"Gustavo is so lucky he has us." Logan said into the communication device.

"Copy that." Carlos said into his device.

Carlos and Logan were by the pool in front of Kendall.

"Lucky charm, this is rabbit's foot on your 20." Carlos stated.

"I'm right next to you. Over." Logan said.

"Copy that." Carlos added.

"I want no part of this." Kendall told them.

"Sir, have you seen Jordin?" They asked.

"No. And that's the way I want it. Hayley thinks I have a thing for Jordin. But she'll change her mind when she sees the nice, girly, romantic lunch I made for her." Kendall stated as he was putting plates down. Logan and Carlos shook their heads at him.

"Jordin's on the move." Carlos said gaining Logan's attention.

"We have a black cat about to cross her path. Repeat a black cat." Logan stated. They grabbed the cat as jordin walked past them. Carlos threw the cat which landed on Jordin's head and was attacking her.

"Oh my god! Get it off. Get it off." Jordan said as Kendall ripped the cat off and threw it somewhere else.

"Thanks again, Kendall." Jordan stated as she sat down to catch her breath. He smiled at her and snapped his fingers.

"Oh, so now you're having a girly, romantic lunch with Jordin." Hayley stated as she saw them together again. Jordin and Kendall looked at each other before he spoke, "No, no. It's not what it looks like."

"Like I haven't heard that before." Hayley said and left to go be with Jo and Camille. Kendall sighed as he watched her walk away.

"You know, I'm not sure the Palm Woods is as lucky as I remember." Jordan stated.

"Tell me about it." Kendall said with a crestfallen expression.

Jordin approached the well, "Okay wishing well, I'm recording a new song today and I need some good luck."

From afar Carlos and Logan were watching.

"Target is safe. No bad luck in sight." Carlos said.

"Wishing wells are nothing but good luck." Logan stated. Jordin threw a penny in the well hoping her wish came true.

Kendall was hammering a metal stake into a small sandbox when he saw James.

"What are you doing?" Kendall asked.

"I'm looking for four leaf clovers. What are you doing?" James replied.

"Setting up another date with Hayley. Hey, nothing can go wrong when you play with horseshoes, right?" Kendall answered, holding up a horseshoe.

"Give me that horseshoe?" James demanded.

"No, it's for my date with Hayley!" Kendall exclaimed. Those two started fighting over it and turned the horseshoe upside down which worried Carlos and Logan.

"It's an upside down horseshoe." Logan stated.

"That's bad luck!" Carlos exclaimed. The two ran to Kendall and James to get them to drop the horseshoe but that just made the whole situation worse. They all let go and watched as it hit Jordin in the back of her head. They all had horrified expressions as they saw Jordin fall in the well.

"Maybe we are bad luck." Kendall stated.

"Yeah." James added.

They all rushed to the well.

"We knocked Jordin Sparks down a well." Kendall said.

"Nobody panic. I'm sure Jordin is fine." Carlos stated before pulling a penny out.
"I wish that Jordin is okay." He threw the penny which hit Jordin.

"Ow!" She exclaimed. The guys sighed in relief,
"Oh, she's okay."

"Guys, is that you?" Jordin loudly asked.

"Uh, don't worry, Jordin. You can count on us. How you doing? You good?" Kendall asked.

"I'm in a well!" Jordin exclaimed.

"Right."
"That's- yeah" Kendall said.

"We have to call the fire department." Logan stated.

"We can't call anyone, or Gustavo will find out and kill us." Kendall stated.

"And think we're bad luck." Carlos added.

"We are!" James exclaimed.

"Jordin! Everything's fine. We got a plan." Carlos reassured her.
"Guys, what's the plan?"

"We're going to rescue her. Now, which one of the good luck patrol is going down the hole?" Kendall asked Carlos and Logan.

Kendall has the rope around him as he was in the well, holding onto the the rope.

"Good luck, Kendall." Carlos and Logan simultaneously said.

"Yeah. Just lower me down. I'll put the rope around Jordin and than you pull us both up." Kendall stated he was climbing down the well slowly, James saw a four leaf clover and let go which made Kendall fall into the well.

"Oh, hey Jordin. What's up?" Kendall asked after he stopped coughing from the impact of his fall.

"What's up? I got a song I can't figure out, I slipped on a banana peel, I got attacked by a cat, and again, I'm in a well!" Jordin ranted. That's when Hayley decided to come,

"Hey guys. Has anyone seen Kendall?" Hayley asked the boys.

"Who's Kendall?" James asked.
"Nope." Logan stated.
"He's not in the well!" Carlos exclaimed. That made Hayley look at him before looking down the well to see Kendall and Jordin together again.

"Kendall? Is that you? And Jordin?" Hayley asked, getting mad now.

"It's not what it looks like." They both told her which made Hayley laugh loudly.

"Wow! I can't believe I thought you were different from him. Ugh!" Hayley exclaimed.

"Who?!" Kendall asked.

"No one you need to know. Go enjoy the rest of your day with Jordin!" She told him about to leave until Carlos stopped her.

"Hayley, I can't let you walk away." Carlos told her.

"Why not?" She asked.

"I'm not going to stand by as my ship is having a lovers spat. So... I'm sorry in advance." Carlos explained. Before she can question him. he pushed her down the well making her scream as she landed on Kendall. She groaned as she stood up and helped Kendall.

"I'm gonna inflict pain on Carlos." Hayley said out loud. Carlos gulped before he spoke,
"I'm sorry! But while we come up with another plan, you and Kendall hash out your problems."

"You want us to talk? Fine, let the trail of Kendall Knight begin. You stand here accused of going behind my back with Jordin Sparks. How do you plead?" Hayley dramatically asked.

"Wow, I didn't know Hayley's ego was that big." Logan stated

"It's funny though." Carlos said with a chuckle.

"And you thought I was dramatic?" James rhetorically asked.

"Shut it!" Hayley shouted which made them shut up and think of a plan. She turned to Kendall and motioned for him to speak.

"Look, Hayley, I don't have a thing for Jordin. Every time you caught us together it's because I saved her from a banana peel, a cat, and now a well." Kendall explained to her. She looked in his eyes and saw he was being sincere.

"Oh. I'm sorry I got so jealous and for my dramatic flare just now." Hayley apologized to Kendall and Jordin.

"No, it's okay. I totally understand." Jordin stated.

"Yeah, plus I've been there before too. So it's completely understandable." Kendall said. They all smiled at each other.

After that nice moment Jordin started to pace as Kendall and Hayley watched her.

"Jordin, I'm sure Logan, aka the Big Time brain, is concocting an amazing rescue plan as we speak." Kendall reassured her. Just as she calmed down Logan fell down too.

"What plan was that?" Kendall asked.

"Oh, I'm fine, thank you. I was measuring the diameter of the well to fashion a crude pulley system when I slipped." Logan told us.

"Don't worry Jordin, James and I are on the case!" Carlos exclaimed.

"You can count on us." James stated.

Logan, Kendall, and Hayley looked at Jordin and simultaneously said, "we're gonna be here awhile." They looked up at James and Carlos.

"Now, we pour some yeast and flour into the well and bake it 400 degrees until everybody rises." James told Carlos his plan.

"No!" They exclaimed.

"Or we could toss down some pool noodles, fill the hole with water, and they'll float to the top." Carlos told his plan to James.

"Wait-did you just come up with an ingenious water displacement plan?" Logan asked.

"Ah, yeah." Carlos stated

"Go, go, go." James said before Carlos went to get the hose.

"James, catch the hose." Carlos stated before he threw the hose at James which knocked him into the well. The four backed up as James fell, when he sat up, he saw the pennies.

"Millions of lucky pennies! I'm saved!" James exclaimed.

Meanwhile Carlos went up to the well and looked down at them.

"What have I done? All my friends are trapped in a well! There's only one thing to do." Carlos stated before he let out a shriek as he jumped in the well.

"What'd you that for?!" Everyone except Jordin asked.

"I was lonely!" Carlos exclaimed making everyone shake their heads at him.

"Well, it looks like you may not make your recording session." Logan pointed out to Jordin. They all sat down getting comfortable.

"It's okay. I couldn't figure out the song, anyway." Jordin stated.

"I didn't think the song was bad. How did it go again?" James asked as he grabbed the music sheet.

"One, Two, Thee, Four, to the Five." James sang.

"Yeah, yeah, oh, and add some layers to it. Try it again." Logan stated.

"One, Two, Three, Four, to the Five." James sang

"Oh, yeah, yeah." Logan sang.

"And harmonies." Carlos and Kendall stated.

"One, Two, Three, Four, to the Five.
Oh, yeah, yeah

Yeah." The six all sang.

"Guys, you just helped me figure out the song. But there's still something missing, all day I've been trying to figure out how to start the song." Jordin said. 

"Hey, Jordin, could I see the first page?" Hayley asked. Jordin gave it to her and Hayley scanned it and sang what she sang to Deke,

"Woo-uh, no, oh.
Now I'm about to give you my heart
But remember this one thing
I've never been in love before
So you gotta go easy on me."

"That's it! How did you come up with that?" Jordin asked.

"I've been trying to finish a song myself but couldn't. When I sang that verse for my interview I haven't been able to get it out of my head." Hayley answered.

"I've got it. Now you got to get me out of here." Jordin stated.

"Well, there's only one guy I know that can pull six people out of a well." Kendall stated.

—

"Whoa!" They all exclaimed as Freight Train was pulling them out. They all fell out of the well and on top of each other.

"Oh thanks Freight Train. Thanks. That hurt though." Kendall told him.

"Aha! Jordin Sparks pulled out of a well tied to five losers. I'll be rich." Bitters stated as he went to take a picture.

"No, no, no, no, no, no!" They exclaimed. Freight Train saved the day again by breaking Bitters' camera which the group of six sigh in relief.

"Hey!" Bitters exclaimed but got scared from Freight Train's height.

"Hey guys, Gustavo isn't happy, he knows about the well, and he has a skunk in his studio that he can't get rid of."
Freight Train told us.

"Gustavo can't get rid of a skunk?" The boys simultaneously asked.

"Not everyone grew up in Minnesota and knows how to get rid of skunks." Hayley retorted. The boys shrugged their shoulders.

Carlos let out a yell before he opened a can of dog food and threw it towards the skunk.

Kendall swung a box that had a rope through it and hung it over the skunk, he let go of the rope as soon as the skunk ate the food.

James came with goggles and slid a thin piece of cardboard under the box and Logan taped it together then pulled the string out so the skunk could breathe.

"Here's your skunk." They said giving Gustavo the box.

"How did you do that?" Gustavo asked them.

"We catch stuff all the time in Minnesota." Kendall answered.

"Yeah, what did you use as bait?" Carlos asked

"Please don't tell me you used a female skunk puppet. Even I know that wouldn't work." Hayley stated as she walked in the studio.

"What? No." Gustavo and Kelly said which was a lie. After that whole fiasco Gustavo took us to the recording studio to lecture the boys.

"In light of recent skunky events I have decided not to kill you." Gustavo told them which made them let out sighs of relief.

"However, you blatantly disregarded my orders to stay away from Jordin Sparks. And proved once again you are Bad Luck Rush." Gustavo continued to lecture them. Hayley and Jordin looked at each other before stepping up.

"Gustavo, they're not bad luck." Hayley stated.

"Yeah, they're good luck." Jordan stated. Which made Gustavo and Kelly look at them with bewilderment.

"Um, they knocked you both down a well." Kelly reminded them.

"Yeah, but if I hadn't fallen down the well, I would've never figured out the song." Jordan told them.

"They helped you figure out the song?" Gustavo questioned.

"Yeah, it's not a solo. It's a duet and It's one I can't sing." Jordin stated making everyone look at her in confusion.

"Then who does?" Kelly asked.

"Hayley does. She literally figured out the missing piece of the song with her own lyrics and it felt right when she sung with the guys." Jordin explained. Hayley had a shocked expression, the boys were excited, Kelly had a big smile on her face while Gustavo laughed in disbelief.

"A duet? With Hayley and the dogs? That is the most greatest idea I've ever had." Gustavo stated.

"So what do you say?" Jordin asked Hayley.

"I say...let's do it." Hayley said which made everyone cheer.

Once they finished singing, they laughed.

"Gustavo, that was awesome!" Hayley exclaimed.

"See, that feeling you're feeling right now is what you have been missing." Kendall told her, Hayley smiled at him.

"So awesome, in fact that I'm teaming you up for one more project." Gustavo told them which made everyone look at him in confusion.

"Hawke records, Hawke speaking." Hawke said as soon as he answered the phone.

"Hey Hawke. This is Hayley. I changed my mind, Rocque records stinks. I want to record songs with you instead." Hayley told him.

"Hawke's on his way. Caw." Hawke stated before hanging up the phone. Hayley had a devilish smile on her face.

"Get me to Rocque records. I beat Gustavo again. Yes!" Hawke said as he got into his limo. The car dove away to reveal the boys and Hayley.

Soon enough the limo stopped and Hawke got out of it, screaming his lungs out. The boys and Hayley were laughing hysterically as they walked up to the limo. When Hawke ran past them screaming, that sent everyone into a spiral of laughing. They waved at Gustavo and Kelly when they looked at them.

Back at the Palm Woods lobby Jordin was getting ready to leave as she talked to her brother.

"Why do I always have to carry your bags?" P.J. asked.

"Because you're my brother. Thanks P.J." Jordin said before turning the boys and Hayley.

"And you guys, good luck on your album." Jordin told the boys as she hugged Logan and Carlos.

"Lucky!" They stated as they did a weird hand shake.

" 'Cause I could use a really great opening act in concert." She said before hugging James.

"Okay, James. You can let go. James?" Jordin kept trying to make him let go of her. The boys and Hayley were saying his name which made him finally snap out of it and let go of Jordin.

She looked between Hayley and Kendall.
"And I'm sorry for causing problems between you two."

"No, don't worry about it. We're good plus if anything I was causing the problems." Hayley told her. Jordin hugged the two of them and they hugged her back. Once they let go, Jordin walked away.
