Chapter 14

After Wei Ying left me in the roof, I went to Hanshi. This time hanshi is still my father's quarters, as he is still the sect leader. Brothers room is now built near hanshi and it doesn't have a name yet as father advice him because it will not be his permanent quarters because sooner or later he would be moving to hanshi, because he would be a sect Leader someday.

When I reach Hanshi, I was met by my father, who is already waiting for me. He is standing outside his room and signaled me to enter as he enter his room and sat by the table.

" How was your night guard Wangji? Did you ENJOY?" Father said with a mysterious smile.

" Wei Ying did and said as before, added with some new words." I said.

" Tell me what happened."

I immediately tell father all that happened in the roof. He was laughing so hard knowing that Wei Ying don't know it was me.

" So now, about his punishment?" Father asked me still laughing

" Father must decide he is the sect leader." I said with my normal tone.

" What sect leader? If I am not mistaken punishment must be given by the Head of discipline." He said. " Or you want to give him another punishment...." Father said with a smirk. " Well if the Head of discipline is having dirty thoughts, I must be the one to give punishment to protect my son-in-law's purity." Father continued while laughing.

" Father!!!" I said with a knitted brows.

" Okay I won't tease. For the punishment I will go with the copying of rules 100 times with you guarding him. Don't do anything against the rules Wangji... But before the punishment I already have a thought on how to let my son meet my son-in-law." Father said.

" How?" I asked. I was also curious on how father would like us meet also exited on my Wei Ying's expression when he will know that he is talking about me with me.

" Well the most awaited clash of the lotus and the jade." Father said with a smirk. I know what he means.

After our discussion, I went to my quarters and prepare for the night and sleep.

I woke up at usual time and did my morning duties. Just as I finished preparing myself for today's ceremony, I heard a knocked from my door. It called my name. I recognize father's voice and let him enter.

" Why did father visit in the early morning?" I asked.

" Can I not visit my son anymore?" Father pouted. I rolled my eyes in response.

" Well I'm just here to inform my son that he won't be in the greeting ceremony today since you are not needed there. You will only appear in the battle to make sure YOUR Wei Ying will be surprise to meet you." Father said with a smirk when imphazising the word YOUR.

I was somewhat sad I cannot see Wei Ying yet but also exited for my grand entrance to his life. I am really right, yesterday would be unforgettable for him.

I responded to my father's order with an 'Mn'. He left me and I went to the library pavilion to read books.

As I was going to the library, I heard a familiar voice saying, "Cloud Reccesses isn't bad if you know how to make thing joyful." The familiar voices with the hint of mischievousness in his tone.

That mischievous voice made me smile internally. It is the voice I would never forget. The voice of my Wei Ying.

" Wei Wu Xian don't think of making trouble." A harsh toned voice said. Unmistakably it is Jiang Wanyin.

" Wei-xiong I'll just warn you, you can disobey anyone except one person. He is the strictest and the most merciless person when it comes to giving punishment." Nie Huaisang said.

Knowing who is the person he described is I smirked.

" Who? The brother of uncle Lan? Lan Qiren?" My beloved asked.

" No, it's your rival, the second jade of gusu, Lan Wangji." Hayyyssst. Nie Huaisang, it is not rival it's husband, his my husband. I will never see him in anything except being my beloved, most beautiful husband.

Jiang Wanyin laugh after hearing that me and my Wei Ying are rival.

" Jiang-xiong why are you laughing?" The not so curious Nie Huaisang asked.

" A-Xian and Lan Wangji rival? If you just see how they interact with each other and how A-Xian looks after receiving his 'RIVALS' letter you would really want to call them rival. I am not even sure if I can bring my brother home in Lotus Pier, virgin. Hahahaha." He continued laughing after saying those.

' what Wei Ying looks after receiving my letters' I wanted to know his face.

Nie Huaisang who was like someone send by the gods asked the question in my mind.

" What he looks like? " Jiang Wanyin asked.

" Jiang Cheng don't you dare." Wei Ying said warningly.

" He looks like a dumbstruck maiden, blushing everywhere and shouting that his Lan Zhan gave him a letter." Jiang Wanyin said. I don't know what happen to them as I was just listening to them but Nie Huaisang was calming my Wei Ying down. I guess he is chasing Jiang Wanyin right now.

I went towards the library pavilion when someone bump at me.

" Sorry I wasn't looking." He told me then shouted to the person ahead, " Jiang Wanyin watch out when I catch you." I already know who this person that bumps me without looking. Before he could ran away, I hold him at looked at him in the eye.

" Running is forbidden, loud noises are also forbidden." I said.

" Pretty-gege you again, can you let me go now I have to chase my brother." He said.

" Later receive your punishment. If you don't like extra punishment don't run." I said.

" Nie-xiong told me Lan Zhan is strictest when it comes to rules. Now it seems like you are the strict one when it comes to rules." He pouted as he walked away. I stayed at the library and continued to read.

Now I am not afraid if the Wens come to Cloud Reccesses because I'm sure they won't. First because they don't have the reason to come to cloud reccesses no more yin Iron. Secondly, Wen Qing and Wen Ning are not already with them. I sent them to a far away land, far from the cultivation world. I know by saving them Sizhui will also not anymore ours but I am happy to know that he would be safe and with his real parents.

After sometime in reading, a disciple went to me and told me that the training match will start soon and he also gave me a paper where it is written the names of those who would compete.

The Lan's have 6 battle area for training purpose like this. Here are the list of the 12 high ranking cultivator who would be competing in different areas:

Lan Wangji vs. Xing Changmei
2nd battle ground
Nie Huaisang vs. Jiang Wanyin
3rd battle ground
Lan Xichen vs. Xing Zuliu
4th battle ground
Jiang Yanli vs. Nie Guiying
5th battle ground
Jin Zixuan vs. Lan Moran
6th battle ground
Wei Wu Xian vs. Jin Zixun

The winner of the match will fight against each other.

Winner of the first battle ground against winner of second battle ground.
Winner of the third battle ground against winner of fourth battle ground.
Winner of the fifth battle ground against winner of sixth battle ground.

So I went to the first battle ground as I was there to fight against my own disciple.

The battle was planned properly by my very own father(with the help of the author) to make sure Wei Ying and I would be playing for the last round.

Battling against my disciple was easy. As I was his master I know his sword style.

I won against Changmei
Jiang Wanyin won against Nie Huaisang
Xiongzhang won against Zuliu
Jiang Yanli won against Nie Guiying
Jin Zixuan won against Lan Moran
And my love won against Jin Zixun

I fought against Jiang Wanyin
Xiongzhang fought against Jiang Yanli
And Wei Ying fought against Jin Zixuan

After the battle, me Xiongzhang and Wei Ying are left.

Wei Ying fought against xiongzhang first and I waited for the winner to fight against him.

As I expected Xiongzhang loss against my Wei Ying and all the people were so excited. This is what they were waiting for the clash of the Lotus and the Jade.

3rd person POV

Wei Wu Xian, after fighting against Lan Xichen was excited, he will fight against his Lan Zhan.

After winning Lan Xichen hug him and said, " A-Xian you will fight with Wangji already. Good luck and please defeat Wangji."

Wei Wu Xian just laugh and hug Xichen back.

He went to Qingheng Jun who congratulate and wish him luck.

Wei Wu Xian then led to the 3rd battle ground since it is the next battle ground. There are already many disciples waiting there shouting and betting who would win in this battle, though those 2 things are prohibited in Cloud Reccesses.

All disciples are noisily waiting for Wei Wu Xian to go up the battle podium where he and his Lan Zhan will fight.

He is now very excited and nervous. It is already 5 years since he met his Lan Zhan.

He slowly went up the stairs to the top of the podium. It is not so high but also not too low. Others ride their sword to get a good view of the fight while others sat on the high rise chair to see them.

When he reach the top Lan Wangji was already there. He is facing his back against his Wei Ying.

Wei Wu Xian breathe in and out to stabilize his breathing but his heart beat would now come out of his rib cage. Lan Wangji was in no better situation. He is also excited, nervous but also afraid. What if his Wei Ying would be angry at him for not telling him it was him, his best friend.

" 2nd Jade and 2nd Lotus please prepare for your training battle." Sect Leader Lan purposely said their title to add more spice.

This time Lan Wangji faces his Wei Ying though he is excited and Abit afraid about his reaction.

When he ready face his Wei Ying, Wei Wu Xian was struck, ' he is Lan Zhan. Pretty-gege is Lan Zhan. Last night it was Lan Zhan??!! Oh my god what did I said to him last night I am doomed. First I broke the rules, second I did not recognize him third I talked about him. Uggghh he even asked me if I love him. I hope Lan Zhan will not be mad at me. Oh my, gods and goddesses with the heaven official please help me.' Wei Ying said in his mind. He is more nervous now.

Both the Jade and the Lotus was stuck in their places looking at each other. The other member of the lotus trio and the elder jade are now sitting close to each other laughing at their siblings who are now standing like a statue.

The Lotus and the Jade was still standing facing each other. The noisy world suddenly  becomes silent and both are lost in their own thoughts. Their hearts are now racing.

Sect Leader Lan who knows what is happening rode his sword and went between them.

" Lan Wangji and Wei Wu Xian are you ready for battle." Sect Leader Lan said pulling the two from their thoughts.

Both of them, now back to reality, nodded in confirmation.

Sect Leader Lan rode his sword and raise from the ground a little bit before saying, " Let the battle begins."

He rode out of the arena and the two started to fight.

Wei Wu Xian was the first to charge his sword against Lan Wangji and Lan Wangji successfully block it. As the battle continues both of them looks like dancing?

People are now in daze. The battle of the Lotus and Jade becomes a dance?

The two people attacked and dodge each others moves with grace. The two looked like they know each others moves and sword style which is also partially true. Five years ago the 2 usually fought with each other in this sword style.

The people who are looking was also silenced by amazement. Their sword style is not YunmengJiang nor GusuLan sword style but a new one?

In the previous timeline they called it WuJi sword style a combination of YunmengJiang, GusuLan and both Wei Wu Xian and Lan Wangji's personal sword style. They named it WuJi as a combination of WUxian and wangJI. It is also unrestrained so it fits it's name. Though the previous Wei Wu Xian was never able to fight against Lan Wangji using this sword style he knows how to use it and in this timeline, Lan Wangji was able to teach his Wei Ying this sword style five years ago.

The two continued to battle for 2 hours already. Wei Wu Xian who is now bored pouted and said, " Lan Zhan I'm bored."

" You're bored?" Lan Wangji asked blocking Wei Wu Xian's attack. Wei Wu Xian nod his head.

" Let's exchange swords." Lan Wangji said surprising Wei Wu Xian. Nevertheless he still follows Lan Wangji.

They both throw their sword against the other which they successfully catch their opponent's swords and using it.

Lan Wangji was not able to use suibian in the past timeline but Wei Wu Xian was able to use his. Though in a different purpose.

The both though it's their first time using the other's sword was looking comfortable while using it.

Bichen in Wei Wu Xian's hands felt heavy compared to his suibian which was light but sharp. Bichen was heavy, cold and graceful while Suibian was light agile and deadly.

The audience mouths was now hanging open while watching the two fighting with their opponent's sword.

It's already 3 hours and the two is still fighting. Qingheng Jun was now tiredly amaze on how the two were fighting and called the fight to end. It is a draw.

After the fight, they both return the sword to each other and now are thinking how to apologize for what they did to each other the other night.
