Meeting

Sitting in the dead silent classroom, Tyler tapped the eraser of his pencil on his arm gently, staring at the math question in front of him. Math wasn't his favorite class in the world, but it wasn't the absolute worst. His thoughts drifted away from the current thing in front of him, and his tapping slowly stopped. He seemed to go still, along with time as he went deeper into his mind. A voice inside his head slowly became louder, and it made his stomach sink and his face made a frown.

Hello Tyler. Oh, did I come at a bad time for you?

Tyler sighed softly as he shook his head. 'Please go away. I don't want to hear you right now.' The voice only chuckled.

If only I would actually listen to your request. You know that you can't do this paper, right? You'd be done with it by now if you knew what to do. You're just a stupid boy, Tyler.

The bell for dismissal rung, making Tyler break away from his thoughts. He turned in his unfinished paper, not really caring about the unanswered equations. He walked to his locker and put his books inside, grabbing his jacket afterwards. Turning on his heel, he began walking down the steps before he tripped, causing him to take an unsuspecting bystander with him as he tumbled down the stairs.

At the bottom, both bodies groaned in pain as they laid on the floor, the other students ignoring them as they were making their ways out the front doors to get out of the horrid place. Tyler sat up and rubbed the back of his head, turning to see the other boy he dragged down with him in his attempt to grab something without falling. "Hey, are you alright?" He asks, hoping the poor guy wasn't badly hurt by the fall.

The boy groaned again in reply, sitting up and running a hand through his purple hair. (Only chose purple because i think it looks best on him) He turned and looked at Tyler, his chocolaty eyes meeting Tyler's. "Just hit my shoulder and that's about it. How about you?" He asks, concern on his face and in his eyes. Tyler nodded in reply. "I'm okay." He took a moment to examine the boy's facial features. Brown hair with the dyed, purple floof of hair on top, a lightly tanned skin tone, and a sliver nose piercing and white ear gauges that weren't all that big. His brown eyes were beautiful to Tyler, along with the rest of his facial features.

"I-I'm Tyler." He stutters out, his cheeks flushing to a pink color as he realized he was staring. The other boy just chuckled and smiled softly. "I'm Joshua. I just go by Josh, though." He replies, Standing and offering a hand to help Tyler up. Tyler took his hand, a small smile making its way to his face. "It's nice to meet you, Josh." He says. "And I'm sorry about making you fall down the stairs." Josh shook his head. "its okay, don't worry about it." The two boys smiled at each other, then Tyler picked up Josh's bag, handing it to him. "Here you go."
