Nishikata was walking back to school towards the intersection where he nad takagi would usually meet

Nishikata : ( he was really worried about takagi) ( she didn't even come to school yesterday... She isn't even answering her calls or texts...) did I do something? ( after the events, nishikata had called sumire to ask if she knew why takagi was angry but takagi didn't answer sumire)

Nishikata waited at the intersection for some time and sighed in relief when he saw takagi walking towards him.

Nishikata : good morning takagi

Takagi : ( she didn't even acknowledge his presence and walked straight past him)

Nishikata : wait what ( he walked behind her) what wrong?!

Takagi : ( without giving nishikata a second thought she kept moving forward)

Nishikata : (panicking) did I do something to anger you?!

Takagi : ( no response)....

Nishikata : ( stood in front of her and blocked her path) HEY answer me!!

Takagi : ( she gave nishikata a cold hard stare)

Nishikata : ( taken aback by her cold and distant attitude) I don't understand....

Takagi : ( stop playing dumb) (she moved past him and to the school)

Kusuo and his friends were discussing something...

Kusuo : I'm telling you challenging nishikata-kun is not a good idea todo (I've gotten on his bad side once I don't wanna do it again)

Todo : what the heck are you scared of, sure he is strong but theres no way he can handle all four of us at the same time.

Kusuo : all three of you, I'm sitting this one out ( that guy would have killed me if it wasn't for Takagi-san...)

Friend A : stop being a wuss, don't you wanna get revenge?

Kusuo : no thanks I choose life... (he started walking away)

Friend B : what a pussy ( taunting kusuo)

For the whole day nishikata kept trying to talk to takagi but she just didn't respond.... After all that it was the end of school... Everyone had left class and started walking home, nishikata and takagi had cleaning duty he tried to take this chance to talk to her, try to set up games or competitions but takagi never responded...

Nishikata : Takagi please...

Takagi : ( she was still giving him a cold shoulder, she was now leave the class room)

Nishikata : (I need to do something, anything) ( he blocked the exit and stood in front of her) please...

Takagi : ( this fool doesn't even realise that there is another door to exit)...

Nishikata : ( this is all I've got) will you go to tomorrow's cultural festival with me? (I said it I finally said it)

Takagi : (she almost broken out of composure for a second but quickly gritted her teeth) No.

Nishikata :.......... What?

Takagi : ( she didn't say another word and left the class room using the other door)

Nishikata : ( he didn't know what to do, what to think, he was sure this would get a reaction out of takagi but he never expected denial..) ( he couldn't do anything he just Sat there for a few seconds, sinking deeper into the feeling of failure and defeat)

Meanwhile outside sumire was talking to houjou...

Sumire : man , what gotten into Rie?.

Houjou : ( with anger) don't play dumb, you know exactly what happened!!

Sumire : ( nonchalantly) what are you even talking about?

Houjou : you don't know?! Thats impossible!

Sumire : what's with all of your mindgames you've been looking at me funny eversince I came to school.... Just tell me, what did Rie tell you....

Houjou :........... she suspects.... no she is sure that you are trying to make moves on nishikata-kun and that he has fallen for you

Sumire : are you crazy?! What kind of hard drugs was she on when she said this!! Like I'd ever like that dork!

Houjou : she said you two went to the mall, your house and a concert together......(scared of sumire's extreme reaction)

Sumire : oh.... That..... Uh.... How... Do I explain this.....

Sumire started explaining the entire situation to houjou

Nishikata : ( he finally gets up and tries to walk out of the class and then he saw something he never imagined)

He saw takagi with some other boy... As they were walking up the stairs, nishikata... He didn't know why, but he kept his distance and followed them....

Nishikata : ( what am I even doing...) (ironically he hid in the same spot where takagi was hiding when she heard Kawahara's confession)

Takagi : so why have you called me here?

Boy :.... How do I say this.... ( I don't think I have a chance but... I guess I can try) will you go on the cultural festival with me?

Nishikata : ( what....).....

Takagi : sure.

Boy : huh?! ( I actually did it, yahoo!!) thanks Takagi-san!!

Takagi : I'll see you tomorrow..

Nishikata : (what...... Is.... Happening.... I don't understand...)

Boy : ( he ran past nishikata and didn't see him as he was hiding)

Nishikata : ( I don't know.... Why.... She said she loved me.... But then.... What did I do....... I don't even know why she's angry.... What was that confession even about.... Was she even asleep)

Takagi : ( sees nishikata just standing there in a daze) stop following me....

Nishikata : I.... ( if she wasn't asleep when she made that confession..... Then..... Was she just toying with me all this time..... Everything... I don't understand...) (tears were rolling down his face) why....

Takagi : ( she didn't give crying nishikata a second thought and walked straight past him)

Nishikata : ( she was just toying with my feelings...... Was a just a peice for her entertainment..... That's it..... That's all I was....) ( he felt a surge of emotions inside him....) Wait. Takagi-san.

Takagi : ( she stopped dead in her tracks...... She could sense anger.... A lot of anger... Behind those words) picked up the san again?

Nishikata : ( his eyes had lost their calm warmth.... Instead only cold darkness could be seen in them) you really love your games don't you...

Takagi : ( the tone of his voice was so menacing that she was getting cold feet)

Nishikata : well two can play that game.... (without saying another order he walked past her, not wishing to hear another word)

Takagi : ( flashback to when shuichi said how dangerous and angry nishikata used to be) ( her feet was wobbly and it took her a few minutes to calm herself down)

Meanwhile

Houjou: what?! That's what happened

Sumire : that girl assumed everything wrong... (I mean I can't blame her all of the signs were pointing towards that but she has known me for years!)
I need to go... ( she ran away in order to find nishikata or takagi) (I need to fix this mess before it gets out of control)

Nishikata : ( he was just walking down the stairs)

Sumire : nishikata-kun!! I know why she is angry at you...

Nishikata : I don't care anymore...

Sumire : what?

Nishikata : I said I don't care anymore about Takagi-san

Sumire : what ( she was really scared of the menacing tone of his voice) (he picked up the san again... Did they have a fight, I need to think quickly... Something tells me is won't listen to reason for now.... ) are you coming for the cultural festival tomorrow?

Nishikata : I am...

Sumire : good ( that means I'll can get them face to face and sort this problem out)

Nishikata : I'll be leaving then... ( he walked right out of the school...)

Sumire : now for her.... ( she ran up the stairs to finally reach takagi) I've been looking for you..

Takagi : ( angrily) why?!

Sumire : I need to explain...

Takagi : I don't wanna hear it ( nishikata's reaction earlier confirmed my Suspicions ) (she walked right past her)

Sumire : wait! Stop! ( she ran after her but she tripped and fell down the stairs...) (she was in pain and after a few seconds got up)

But to no avail as takagi was gone

Sumire : how am I supposed to fix this mess....
