18. You and I Together

A/n: I love angst so so much like omg. Anyways this one has angst, and I mean hardcore angst. Also, it's pretty graphic just to give y'all a heads up! I apologize :)

Wednesday Addams

I enjoy a variety of dark things. One of them being death. It's fascinating to view. I do not fear it. What's the point when everyone will eventually die. That is where my mindset used to be at. Not anymore because I met Enid who made me evolve and shaped me into something new. Even if she did change me, I always told myself that I would never feel horrified. I lied... I wish I didn't.

Everything happened in slow motion. My eyes were heavy, but I had enough strength to keep them open and find Laurel ahead of Enid and I. Her gun was out and pointed directly at us. I couldn't predict who would get hit, yet it didn't matter to Laurel. I was close to taking a step, but the sound of two gunshots rang.

Bang! Bang!

Enid gasped, letting go of me as I fell down into the pillar slowly. My eyes broadened in fear, ignoring the soreness as I was sitting down fully on the floor. Two bullets penetrated the front of her body. One on her shoulder, and the second through her stomach. She clutched her bloodied stomach with one hand. Her breath hitched as she wanted to howl in pain but wasn't capable from the lack of energy.

I froze when she fell down on her knees first. Then, Enid was dropping forward towards the ground. Face down she goes, laying flat and trying to get up. Her body struggled while she was shaking. She was losing every ounce of power in her. Enid needs more aid than I do.

"Enid!"

I helplessly crawled to the werewolf with the blade still stuck into my stomach. I rolled Enid over onto her back and cradled her. She groaned in pain as tears welled up in her eyes. Both gunshot wounds were pouring out blood. I weakly applied pressure while Enid tried on her stomach. Thing crept to us and helped Enid stop the bleeding near her abdominal area.

Without noticing, Laurel stood next to us. I glared at the woman as hard as I could, but it didn't affect her. Instead, she pointed the gun at Enid's head.

"Get away from her," I clenched the blonde girl as close to me as possible.

"She's suffering Wednesday. I think it's better if I put her down like the mutt she is," Laurel muttered to me.

"Over my dead body. Kill me instead of her!" I shouted angrily.

"I can do both. It will be like Romeo and Juliet, except I murdered you two. So, farewell my favorite students. It was nice meeting you while it lasted," Laurel added with no remorse.

I held Enid tightly and closed my eyes, waiting for the evil woman to pull the trigger. It felt like forever for her to kill us both. Although, it didn't happen.

"Hey Laurel!"

I opened my eyes and glanced up along with Enid to find Yoko from across the room. Without hesitation Laurel fired a couple rounds at the vampire. She flinched slightly and blood began spilling from her own body.

"Pft! HA HA HA HA! You really think a gun will kill me? Remember, I'm immortal. I can suppress anything besides a stake to my heart, but you don't have one," Yoko smirked, taking off her dark glasses.

Her eyes were no longer dark. Rather, they were red. I've never seen a vampire with red eyes, however I read something about it. The color means Yoko is furious and ready to attack. Laurel fired more rounds at the pale girl as she went towards the auburn haired woman. The gun ran out of bullets by the time Yoko was inches near Laurel.

"Now you've really pissed me off! Never fuck with my friends or else you'll be fucked up by me," Yoko closed the gap between her and Laurel.

Her fangs grew out as she dug her teeth into Laurel's neck. Gates tried pulling the vampire away but to no avail. That's when Tanaka unlatched herself and grabbed Laurel by the hair, dragging her away from the crypt. She pleaded and begged for mercy, yet nobody gave in to her cry for help.

"I'll be back to help after I deal with this bitch first," Yoko stared back once more before taking Laurel and herself out from the building.

Relief washed over me. Two foes down and one more to go.

"Heh. Y-Yoko. What would w-we do... without her," Enid tried to chuckle which turned into a sound of discomfort.

"I... don't know. What I do kn-know is we aren't s-surviving our injuries," I stated in pain.

"One of you will."

Goody Addams. My ancestor. She's back like an angel from Heaven. Enid's eyes glowed when she and I saw Goody sitting next to us.

"G-Goody? What brings you here?" I interrogated.

"You're in desperate need of help," she plainly says.

"It's obvious we need h-help," I kept my response quick.

"Don't worry. I can heal, but the truth is, you'll never see me again after I do so."

"I will find a way to c-contact you again," I gave hopeful eyes to the phantom in front of me.

"Maybe you will," Goody stared at me with faith.

"I suggest h-healing Enid first since sh-"

"I'm afraid I can only heal one person and that's it," my ancestor interrupted.

"No. Heal Enid th-then me," I instructed.

"Wednesday... H-heal Wednesday, Goody," Enid entered the conversation.

"Enid. You're far too c-close to death right n-now. I need you alive," I preferred her to be saved.

"I n-need you alive... too. Nevermore needs you t-to save them. You're their on-only hope," Enid weakly answered.

"E-Enid," the feeling of tears were prickling at the corner of my eyes as I caressed the girl's cheek.

"Please... Goody. S-she's a relative of yours," the werewolf entreated my ancestor.

"Don't do it Good-"

The blade from my stomach was pulled out without a warning from Goody. My face flexed from the unpleasant, physical affliction. The hands of Goody pressed down the wound from below my torso and the other on my sliced hand. She began glowing brighter than usual. I noticed my injuries were closing on their own. I felt myself become lighter again.

"A stab through Joseph's black heart will get rid of him completely. I can sense him on a rampage trying to find outcasts in Nevermore. You really are their only hope as Enid says. Good luck, and thank you, Wednesday Addams," Goody bowed her head before she vanished in thin air.

"I can't leave you here by yourself," I told Enid directly.

"Did you forget I would come back, Addams?"

Yoko became visible by the entrance of the crypt. Around her mouth was covered what I perceive to be Laurel's blood. Her eyes were no longer red and back to its usual color.

"Tanaka! Is she dead?"

"Yup. I drank most of her blood. Are you two alright?" The vampire ran to us.

"I was healed by my ancestor so I'm fine. Enid is not. You need to get her help before she loses any more blood. Thing will help you while I kill Crackstone," I declared as I lifted Enid up slightly for Yoko to take my place.

"H-hey, Yoko," Enid greeted with a small smile.

"Enid you idiot. You better not die on us. We'll get help together," Tanaka tried carrying Enid softly, but the lycan hissed in pain while Thing continued applying pressure to the bloody wound.

Hold on a little longer Enid. You will be patched up soon.

"Hold thy place! Thou is not going anywhere," Joseph made an appearance by the entry with his staff.

"Yoko, take Enid and yourself far behind me. He'll kill any outcast he sees," I recommended to the vampire.

"What about you?"

"I will take care of him myself," I stared down at my enemy.

"You need to hurry. Enid's heart is slowing down bit by bit," Tanaka warned.

"I will. Keep her awake while you can."

"You got it Wednesday," Yoko took off with Enid and Thing to a wall across behind me.

I steadily grabbed a hold of Crackstone's knife from the ground and took my stance to duel against the anti-outcast fool. He held a wicked grin and got his staff ready to attack.

"How canst a demon like thou survive?" His voice echoed throughout the building.

"Wouldn't you like to know, pilgrim," I responded dauntingly.

His smile fell right before he let out a war cry. Joseph came to me and raised his staff to strike a blow. I used the weapon in hand to block his hit. I pretended the blade was a sword to prevent myself from getting sliced. Crackstone swung the stick once more whereas I dodged it and kicked his face before he was able to strike again.

His hat fell off from the impact, however he tried landing a hit on me. Again, I used the knife to stop the staff until it completely shattered to pieces. All there was left to it was the handle. I dropped it on the floor since it was not useful.

"Looks like thou ran out of tools. Thy's time hast run out," Joseph pointed the staff directly at my body.

"Not quite," I claimed before quickly clutching the arm of the pilgrim holding the staff.

I pushed his limb down which made the bones crack. Crackstone recoiled from the pain as I twisted to make him drop the magic staff. Joseph did so and gave me the opportunity to seize the blade Enid bought me from the inside of my boot. Without hesitation, my hand took the knife and stabbed him through his heart. He gasped without a warning that my weapon pierced into his organ. I twisted then tugged back the blade to add suffering to his demise.

There, he was disintegrating along with the staff. He wailed and tried whatever he could to not leave this world. Fortunately, Joseph Crackstone was unsuccessful. His shriek turned into silence as his whole body disappeared. The war is over. Thank goodness.

I put away the blade and sprinted to Yoko, Enid, and Thing. I found Thing no longer putting pressure onto Enid's injuries. He was coated with her own blood. I noticed tears rolled below Yoko's eyes, hearing a small whimper leave from her throat.

"Yoko... Is s-she-" I prevent myself from completing the sentence.

Yoko's jaw tensed right after she looked into my eyes. That's when I knew the answer to my question. I dropped down to my knees as Yoko handed the blonde over to me. I held the werewolf's lower back and neck. Enid was pale, covered in blood, and lifeless. I checked her pulse and found that her veins weren't palpitating. I gently shook the girl I love, not believing that she's dead.

"No no no! Enid! Wake up! You have to hold on a little longer! I'll bring you back to life and kill you again if you don't open your eyes!" I became delusional.

"Wednesday..."

"No! She's alive, Yoko! Come on Enid. I will never love anyone if you leave me Enid. Do you hear me!? Never!"

"P-please Wednesday," Yoko cried out.

I ignored the vampire and kept trying, "If you w-wake up, I promise to allow you to hug me as many times as y-you want. You can kiss m-me whenever you feel like it. W-we can hold hands like real couples do. I s-swear on my life. I'll never let you go. So please... I-I need you," I implored helplessly.

Yoko held onto my shoulder and painfully stated, "I'm s-so sorry, Wednesday."

I began shaking violently, and I was breathing heavily. For the first time in years, tears flowed from my eyes to the edge of my jaw. I wanted to scream in agony, but it was stuck in my throat. Rather, a sob escaped from my mouth. My lips quivered in grief. I clenched my teeth to hold my emotions in. I couldn't do it as much as I wanted to. The smell of her fragrance captured my nose as I hugged her firmly.

She still wasn't moving. Her arms and head fell back like a rag doll. I bawled faintly, mourning while both Thing and Tanaka tried comforting me. I didn't care about anything anymore. Not when Enid is gone. I will truly keep my word and not fall in love with someone who is not Enid. I am devoted to her only.

"Kid!" A voice called out.

I raised my head silently to the familiar voice. I then heard Yoko get up, wiping her tears away as she stood in front of me in a protective stance.

"Who the hell are you? If you're looking for trouble I will easily drink all of your bl-"

"That's my Uncle Fester," I told the vampire.

"Your uncle? What is he doing here?" Yoko wondered.

"I'll tell you later."

"Kid! What happened? Are you okay? What happened to Enid?!" Fester ran to us in a panic.

"Fester! You need to revive Enid! Use your power please," I begged my uncle to save her.

"Okay. Lay her down completely and stand back," Uncle Fester got to his knees and rubbed his hands together.

I put Enid on the floor entirely and watched Fester do the job. Electric bolts ignited between his hand right as he placed both palms onto Enid's chest. The electricity sparked on the lycanthrope's body as she tensed upward before going limp. Again, Fester retried the same technique. Three times to be exact. I wasn't giving up on her. Neither was Uncle Fester.

He owed her that much for accepting him into our dorm. Enid even offered him one of her stuffed animals to keep. She kept Fester company while I was gone. They built a friendship in a span of a day and a half. I know it meant a lot to my uncle. That is why he'll keep trying till he is completely worn out.

"Come on kiddo! I know you have it in you," Uncle Fester rubbed his hands longer than usual.

A bigger spark of electricity rummaged throughout his fingers and palms. He concentrated deeply, mustering up all the power he had and transferring it to his hands. Fester set his hands onto Enid's chest once more, shocking her with the highest amount of electric energy he pushed out. Enid's entire body tensed for a few seconds before Uncle Fester retreated. He paused to see if the werewolf was moving. And she was. Her right index finger twitched upward. Her nose scrunched with her eyes still closed.

"Enid?" I said her name in case I was hallucinating.

Enid's ocean eyes slowly flickered open. The rest of us gasped in surprise that she had been resuscitated. I gave her half a minute to be fully awake until I cling onto the girl.

"Enid. You're alive," I whispered to her, showing a small smile in relief.

"W-Wednesday... Hey," Enid addressed, beaming back.

"Don't die on me ever again Sinclair," I held the lycan closer and tighter to me.

"Heh. Don't worry, I won't. Can I... get a hug from you?"

I nodded in approval before Enid pulled me down to embrace me carefully. I wrapped my arms around her, stuffing my face into her neck. I clenched onto her for dear life as if she would leave this world. I wish I had hugged her sooner. It felt warm and soothing altogether. I allowed my eyes to shut knowing that Enid really is here with me. I suppose I was exhausted. Soon after the hug, everything went to black assuming that I had fallen asleep in Enid's arms.

Enid Sinclair

Who would've thought I died and came back to life thanks to Fester. It was the next day when Wednesday and I had woken up in the infirmary. Our friends and even Wednesday's uncle came to visit us. Everyone was shocked that Principal Weems is still alive. Apparently she pretended to play dead and didn't suffer blood loss like I did since my arteries had been punctured by the bullets.

My friends were more surprised about what happened to Wednesday and I during the time in the crypt. Wednesday had woken up before me and told the group the encounter from start to finish. They were happy that we made it out alive and congratulated me for wolfing out. According to our friends, the students and teachers of Nevermore evacuated safely. The only ones hurt in the process was Weems, Wednesday, and I. I would count Yoko, but the bullets hardly did anything to her.

I was bandaged up on my shoulder, stomach, and face. It didn't last for long thanks to me wolfing out. Because of that, my wounds heal quicker than usual. The bullet holes and gashes from my body are closed and turned into scars. Ones that are visible are the slash marks on the left side of my face. I didn't mind them. It represents the time I protected the one I love wholeheartedly.

Thornhill and Tyler were pronounced dead at the scene. I felt guilty for killing Tyler, but I had to do what I needed to do to keep Wednesday safe. Yoko didn't feel any guilt at all. The two best friends killed their enemies. What a perfect duo am I right? Knowing that the two are dead no longer mattered to me. What was important is that those close to me made it out in one piece.

I thanked Fester a million times for bringing me back to life. Of course, he didn't mind lending a hand to revive me. He said that he owed me for letting him hide in my room and keeping him entertained. Eventually, Fester wasn't able to stay for long.

"Welp. As crazy as it was being here, I'll miss hanging out with you three," Fester glanced at Thing, Wednesday, and I.

"Do you really have to go?" I wasn't ready for him to go.

"Yeah. Sorry kiddos. I did hear from my niece that you're going to live with my family. Someday, I will come by and visit," Fester ruffled both mine and Wednesday's hair at the same time.

"You better. We have a competition going on next month between father, Pugsley, and I," Wednesday informed.

"I will definitely come visit for that," the older Addams grinned.

"We'll catch you later, Fester. Thanks again, for everything," I gave him a quick embrace in which he returned.

"No problem kid. Don't stay out of trouble and enjoy your time together," Fester waved at us while putting his hat on.

"Goodbye, Uncle Fester," the raven said her farewell.

Fester bowed his head down before vanishing out of sight. Right as he left, Principal Weems joined us.

"Ladies. I hope you're healing well," she checked up on us.

"We are. How are you handling yourself, Principal Weems?" I asked the tall woman.

"I'm pleased knowing my children are alive and well. You and your friends did a wonderful job protecting the school. I owe you all so much," Weems mentioned.

"There's no need. Everyone made it out safely. That's our priority, isn't it?" Wednesday questioned her.

"One-hundred percent. I guess there really isn't a need to return anything. The students know that this semester will no longer be continued. The beginning of the second semester is when everyone will come back. You two will gain a long break from school and the tragedy that happened last night. I called your parents, Enid, but neither of them answered the phone. Do you happen to know who will pick you up today from Nevermore?"

"I do. Wednesday's parents are bringing me with them," I turned my head to gaze at the psychic who had a small blush on her cheeks.

"Oh! I am happy that's arranged for you. Well then, I advise you both to begin packing your items before Gomez and Morticia arrive. I look forward to seeing you two shine brighter than ever next semester," Principal Weems sincerely insinuated.

"Thank you, Weems, for trusting us," Wednesday indicated.

"No. Thank you both for saving Nevermore. I will never forget it for as long as I live," Weems genuinely uttered.

"It's our pleasure Principal Weems," I smiled brightly.

"Take care girls."

"You as well."

——————————

"I am ready to get out of here and begin our vacation," I happily said.

"I agree. We need to clear our heads. After all, we can start our new relationship," the Addams answered.

"Wait a minute. We can't just yet."

"Why is that?" Wednesday lifted a brow.

"Because I haven't asked you an important question," I pouted.

"There's an important question?"

"Yes, silly! The question is... Will you be my mate?" I went straight to the point.

"No," Wednesday plainly replied.

"No?!" I was filled with dread.

"No. It's better if you asked me to become your wife."

"We're still young to be each other's wives."

"Not in our family we aren't. My father was engaged to my mother as soon as possible," the small teen uttered.

"Oh. Then, will you be my wife?" I changed my wording, rubbing the back of my head anxiously.

"Yes. I will be your wife," Wednesday responded without a thought in mind.

"Yes! Now we can go on dates, cuddle together, watch movies, hold hands, have a sleepover, and paint our nails the exact same color," I planned out excitingly.

"I'll willingly participate in the activities you listed," the raven announced.

"You're the best, wifey," I came from behind my girl and hugged her, settling my chin on top of her left shoulder.

She reached to touch my arms and leaned into me, saying, "You're the best too. I hope you know that."

"I do now that my wife has told me."

As much as I wanted to hold Wednesday longer, a knock was heard from the door. I released myself from Wednesday and went to open the door. On the other side was Lurch. I let him in to begin taking our packed bags and luggages into the vehicle he brought. Wednesday and I tagged along to help him carry our stuff. As my wife and I made it out to the drop off lot, Morticia and Gomez were waiting outside of their car.

"My daughter and daughter-in-law! You two look wonderful next to each other. Even better, you're holding hands! Do you see that cara mia?" Gomez pointed at mine and Wednesday's intertwined hands.

"Our Wednesday has finally found her true love just like us. Isn't that right my beloved?" Morticia gaped down at Gomez, holding both his hands.

"Of course my tigress," both the adults were ready to kiss each other but Wednesday cleared her throat.

"Not in front of Enid or I," Wednesday rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Come on Wednesday. Let your parents have their PDA. Maybe you and I should kiss each other," I brought up confidently as I wiggled my eyebrows.

Honestly, on the inside, I felt stupid saying that. I suck at flirting. I don't even think that would be considered flirting. But to my surprise, the young Addams agreed to it which caused me to turn entirely crimson red.

"Okay."

"Huh?!" Is all I mouthed out.

"I give you permission to kiss me," Wednesday allowed nonchalantly.

"Uhhhh... Yeah! Sure thing," I was freaking out internally.

I made the first move by wrapping my arms around the psychic's waist. I pulled her close to me, colliding our bodies together. Wednesday planted both hands on each side of my jaw to hold it in place. My heart was beating in anticipation while we stared at one another before closing the small gap between us. Our eyes slowly closed, and finally, our lips met each other.

Let's just say it was the best feeling in the entire world. The kiss turned out to be passionate, gentle, and slow. Our lips kept pressing against each other, wanting more and more. Wednesday's lips were so soft and heavenly. I could kiss her all day if she wanted to. I'm happy that my first kiss was with her.

Understandingly, Wednesday was the first to pull away. She let go of my face and placed the side of her hand over her mouth. Her face was flustered from the kiss we shared. I want to know what she thought about the kiss.

"Was that okay?" I delicately asked.

"Y-yes it was. I believe you poisoned me with your kisses because I turned addicted to it," Wednesday shyly admitted.

"That's what love does to you," I beamed smoothly.

"It certainly does!" I heard a particular vampire voice.

Wednesday and I turned our heads to see our friends bunched up together. Even Divina and Kent were there. Every one of them had the biggest grin I've ever seen. I'm guessing they saw us kiss.

"It's about time you're together. Took you guys long enough," Xavier chuckled afterwards.

"But it was worth it," I included.

"Looks like it. I'm proud of my babies. You two are all grown up now," Yoko pretended to tear up.

"We're wives now," I reported joyfully.

"Say what?!"

"Y'all got engaged already!!?"

"Typically lesbians."

"Guys! We aren't engaged just yet. We are calling each other that because why not. Wednesday and I are staying together forever, right Wednesday?" I clasp my hand onto Wednesday's.

"You're correct," she nodded.

"Then, congratulations on being together," Eugene expressed contentedly as the rest of our friends did.

"Thanks!"

"We're ready to head home love birds!" Gomez shouted.

"That was fast," I muttered.

"The gang and I wanted to say our goodbyes before you two left," Yoko recalled.

"Right."

Individually, Wednesday and I bid our farewells. Even Thing who was done helping Lurch take our stuff to the vehicle came to give hugs out. They were quick and short. It wasn't like we were never going to see each other again.

"Make sure you contact us in the group chat. I'd like to see more Wenclair content," Tanaka winked.

"Yeah yeah. We will. See you guys next year," I waved crazily at my friends as Wednesday did a small one.

Now, it's time to go to my new home with Wednesday.

I grabbed a hold of Wednesday's hand and asked, "Are you ready to start a new chapter together?"

"Just like in my novel, I'm always ready to write a new chapter," Wednesday smiled.

"That's my wife," a wave of satisfaction flowed through my body.

Wednesday squeezed my hands lightly as Lurch opened the car door. We entered inside where Morticia and Gomez were already seated next to each other. Wednesday and I sat side to side without trouble. Thing crawled in and nestled on my lap. Lurch had the car moving and on our way we went.

A new chapter with adventures, love, and exploration awaits us.

"I love you, Wednesday."

"I love you too, Enid."

The End

A/n: I'm not crying. You are! Anywho, thank you to those who stuck around and read every chapter. I really appreciate your support, and I hope you enjoyed this story as much as I did. I do have another one coming out soon as mentioned in the last chapter. It will be light, funny, and not too angsty. Be on a lookout, and thank you for reading once again. Until then, see you later.
