Epigraph

❛And you're scared of love because you've never been taught well.
You've seen the painful kind of love that breaks your bones,
And you don't remember the last time your mother smiled,
Or a time when your father didn't spit words covered in acid.

So when "love" showed up, you settled for it and let it sting,
And you ignored the bruises and the yelling and the tears and the other girls.

Because you grew up in a home where love hurt.

So when love actually shows up, you're anticipating it's departure.
And you're waiting for the first night he gets drunk and tells you how he really feels.
And you don't expect midnight conversations to be a regular thing.
And you're waiting for the first night he screams he doesn't love you.
And you don't expect to hear, "I'm mad at you, but I still love you."

And you're waiting for the door slammed shut on your fingers,
Not a kiss on the cheek and stitches on your heart.❜

Hello everyone! I'm really excited to be starting on this journey- Roman is a character I've placed in various situations over the past two years, and now I'm officially inspired to introduce him to the world of Twilight. I'm not entirely sure how alive this fandom is, but despite that- here I am, bringing him and sharing him with all of you. There are a few things that you should be aware of beforehand, though:

Realistically, not enough time has passed for the Cullens to return to Forks, and no, the story doesn't take place in the future- that's just something you'll have to suspend your disbelief for, please.

Secondly, the Quileute tribe's pack now consists of:  Paul Lahote, Embry Call, Collin Littlesea, and Brady Fuller, along with Jacob Black who has been travelling with the Cullen family because of Renesmee. All of them don't have imprints, despite the fact that Paul found his- in my story, he didn't, just because I wasn't all that fond of Paul's imprint being Jacob's older sister.

And finally, Alec plays a pretty significant roll in this book- so I feel the need to point out that he is older than he is in the books. He's around the age he is in the movie (even though they don't specify in the movie, he is definitely somewhere around the age of sixteen) so that should clear up any major questions you have about his role!

Other than that! I'm excited to bring you Roman and his adventures within the Twilight universe! The very first chapter will be up within the next couple days, and I really hope you all enjoy it.
