Lelei La Lalena's House

500 meters west of Koda Village

Across the village came across a small house where two people are living.
Lelei la Lalena, and her master, Cato El Astetan, the master sage with long gray hair, and beard who took Lelei and her sister as apprentices for mage.

"Master, why are we packing our things?" The aqua colored hair girl asked without showing signs of emotion in her face

"Bahh, it just doesn't feel right. There's something wrong in this village and we must evacuate immediately. I get the feeling that something dangerous ahead may reach us if we stay any longer." The old man scratched his head as he packed the wagon with huge supplies.

"What about the villagers?" The young teen asked.

"What of them? Its up to them to decide if they would move ahead or not. Who would believe a mage that their impending doom is  coming. Besides, the enemies from the other side may kill them first before us, alright. Don't forget about those bandits who would go on a rampage every once in a week." The sage laughed.

"What is the threat if not the enemy?" She questioned more.

"A stronger being, Lelei. Us magicians can feel a stronger entity. Perhaps, you would say, a dragon." The wizard replied.

"Why would a dragon attack us? Why didn't you have to inform the villagers?"

"What we mages have compared to humans are the powers the gods gave us. We are not to abuse these magic for our own gain."

"But you just did, Master."

"Er~ well, perhaps that's what we mages are taught of before we became masters."

A splash of water is splattered on the face of the wizard, resulting in making the master to wipe his face with an annoying look.

"Do not abuse the power of magic. Its a sacred art." He argued.

"But you just did." She responded nonchalantly.

"It was for emergency circumstances, Lelei. Now get in the cart." Master Cato shouted at his pupil with an annoying expression.

"Anyways, we have to get going now before the dragon or the enemies of the gate may arrive." Master Cato sighed.

The two mages hopped on the cart filled with supplies that are so overloaded that the cart may no longer be able to support its weight.

The wizard then casted a spell to the cart, making the load feel lighter, giving it enough easiness to have the cart pushed easily by the horse.

As they passed through the village, they came across a man wearing a straw hat, watching the kids play with what seems to be men and women wearing  khaki uniforms and green armor. A few wore red robes and had strange metal tubes around their faces, and other long metal parts behind their backs.

"Ahhh, good afternoon master Cato, you look like you're gonna have quite a journey there. What seems to be of occurrence." The man said as he titled his straw hat.

"Ohh, yes. My student and I would have to leave for awhile to check on a few things. The village will be doing great without us I guess." The sage replied and ended his sentence with a chuckle.

"By the way, who are those people. Bandits? Why are they playing with the kids?" The sage asked.

"These guys came to protect us. They are not that bad after all. They treated us different compared to the bandits, although they do have strange objects they carry that we don't know of." The man in the straw hat said as he scratched his head.

Lelei watches closer on these strange people who seem a bit too friendly to the villagers. She watched as they play with the children with traditional games such as hide and seek, tag and any other physical games.

She looked at the other side and saw strange giant metal objects the size of behemoths parked on the village road, combined that with humanoid creatures clothed in red that seems to be chanting on these objects as if they are baptizing it.

"Weird." She muttered.

She turned around and saw a man dressed in a great coat, with different badges pinned on his uniform, wearing a distinct red cap with a skull figure on the middle, scribing notes on his notebook, watching every angle and the sky for any dangers ahead.

She jumped out of the cart to examine closer these people and their weapons that seems a bit too bulky for a sword, and too blunt to be even called a lethal weapon.

She examined the behemoths being chanted on by the Mechanus and heard a roar coming from the gigantic box of metal, which startled her as she backed off a few meters.

The sound of the Taurox revving up also startled the nearby kids and some even cried when hearing the loud engine roar.

She watched as the man dressed on a red Great coat and cap screaming orders to his men in a language she has not heard of, and at the same time hearing that same loud and powerful voice startled the villagers around him.

"Lelei! Get back here! We have to get out of this place now! We don't have much time." The sage called the girl and waved, as he waited for his pupil to join him back to the cart.

Lelei looked back to the cart only to see a red flying creature approaching towards the old man.

The old man looked at the girl with confusion as to why she is looking above his direction. Out of curiosity, the sage turned around only to see a giant red dragon descending from the skies, opening its mouth to initially release its first breath of fire.

"Lelei! Get out of here now! Its here!" Master Cato looked back at Lelei with a shocked look for a split second and dismounted his cart only to have the tongues of fire reach his back, burning together with the wooden cart and all the supplies stacked on it.

"AAAAAAAGGGGHH" The wizard screamed on the top of his scruffy old voice, enduring the burning sensation coming from his back, crawling on the burning floor only to see the young aqua colored hair girl watch him with shock.

"M-master?" The girl stood in shock while the village has been burning on the background creating a reddish scenery in the perspective of the old man.

"Wh-what are you doing Lelei!? You must leave this place now! A-AAAAUUGGHHH" the man screamed in pain while ordering his student away from him.

The girl, though in shock, still stood there watching her own mentor burn from the fires of the dragon, while the dragon ignores her presence enjoying the sight of the villagers and guardsmen alike succumb to the smell of burnt wood and flesh, running from its presence.

As the dragon moves further away from the apprentice mage, one of the guardsmen who tried their best to escort the remaining villagers saw the kid watch an old man burn to death.

She watched the kid kneel in front of her own master, holding what seems to be the hat worn by the sage.
She rushed towards the girl and grabbed her by the shoulder only to see a blank emotion on her face, combined that with dark aura from across her face.

Though she was startled she didn't care because she is ordered by the commissar to save as much villagers as possible.

"Hey kid! We should go now. Theres no time left." She said to the girl only to give no response to her.
The guardswoman didn't even bother to hesitate and carried the kid with her own weight and escorted her to a safe place away from the village.

As she approached the place where all the villagers took refugee away from the village, she placed the girl down and rushed back to the designated place the commissar instructed her.

The medicaes are then rushed back together with the guards woman after giving quick first aid to the villagers to fight against the upcoming the dragon.

Lelei, under the stress of losing her mentor, she watched these strange people ride on their behemoths and lured the dragon away where they performed an unusual way of fighting a dragon compared to the other tales she had heard from his mentor.

These behemoths rushed in incredible speed outlasted the dragon's breath and roared thunderous repeating sounds from its rods. This behemoths is then rushing towards what seem to be another behemoth but had legs shaped of a curve diamond, with one large rod on its head.

As the Taurox turned right, away from the tank, the second behemoth roared louder as it spewed out fire at the same time creating a sound that does not even compare to thunders.

She watched as the dragon fall from the sky and its leg got dismembered from the blast, making the villagers who witness the event gasp.

She saw the power of such beings that can even take out the legendary dragons made by the God of the Underworld. She watched them with awe as the event made her mouth slightly open.

The dragon then limped forward, slowly opening its wings while trying to cope up with the excruciating and shock pain these new hostile threats they gave to it.

The man wearing a red cap shouted words that the villagers can't understand as the speeding metal bull rushed back to the scene, and blasts of fire as spewed on the dragon coming from what the officer is wielding.

Ten blasting sounds are heard from the battlefield combined simultaneously by blinding blasts on the dragon's parts showed signs that it had given major damage to the dragon.

Within a few seconds the behemoth then started moving its head facing towards the dragon pointing its giant rod towards the dragon, releasing smokes of fire and another thunderous roar only to miss its shot and create a huge explosion on the ground located on the dragon, creating a rain of dirt, pebbles, and sand below the dragon's location as the dragon flapped its wings and gained its altitude so quick.

The officer's rants are then heard loud and clear but still could not be understood by the villagers but can clearly see the officer's frustration that it misses. He then returned back to his seat, closing the door, only to show the running bull chasing the flying dragon.

Within a few minutes, the dragon that can be seen from afar looks like it has gotten away. The villagers sighed in relief as they saw the dragon got away from their location. They awarded and celebrated for the Imperiu. Who let a legendary being got away.

A huge explosion is then heard from the sky as they saw the same flying creature fall from the heavens once again, making the villagers more confused than it seems.

The guardsmen shouted in joy with a whoooooo sound coming from their vehicles as if they have been the one that took out the dragon. The villagers slowly realized what is currently going on and then celebrated with more joy than they could ever have as they have realized that these men and women  had slain a legendary creature.

As the Imperium finally settled down on the village for the night, chants are heard from the villagers of how great these men are, singing with praises and songs that talk about how great these men have slain the dragon.

The campfires made outside of the burnt village, combined that with whatever food supplies the village used up, they had still made use of their supply to feast for the night.

Lelei watched as they danced in joy despite having to watch the event happen so fast. She looked around to see a row of corpses, covered on blankets, villagers and guardsmen alike.
She watched as their loved ones mourn for those who passed away and she passed each of the corpses.

She saw the body of a person she knew and ran towards it, holding the hat she had since the start, and knelt beside her mentor.

She placed her mentor's hat on top of his stomach and puts her hands on her thighs. She never realized that her one and only close friend she had lost was on the day they were about to leave.

She bowed down and slowly her tears started gather on the sides of her eyes, and they trinkled down to her cheeks. She touched them with her finger and looked at it as if its her first time feeling an emotion she usually never used.

As she had realized her first emotion she had rarely encounter, she sobs to the point that her tears continued flowing. Her eyes are turning red from the continuous production of tears and she let herself loose as she and the other villagers mourned.

As soon as she loose her strength from continuous sobbing, she laid on the ground, eyes closed, and knocked herself out due to exhaustion.

The nearby guardsmen, watching the feast, saw the unconscious girl knocked out on the floor beside what is assumed to be her relative who passed away, approached her and held her up to be placed on the sleeping bags they have been given as for the standard imperial guardsmen kit and placed her near where the villagers are taking their rest.

Koda Village
Morning

The rising sun has touched its light on the eyes of Lelei as she had finally recovered herself from an exhausted night. She tucked and rolled on the soft floor only to feel that this bag is way too thin and soft to be her own bed. She opened her eyes only to had her eyes greeted by giant behemoths and armored yellow men holding giant bulky weapons march across the burnt villages. The villagers are clearly startled by the giant men with earth shaking stomps walk across the ash and dirt.

Though they did not mind at the villagers and continued with their duty, she watched the same man wearing a cap call his unit to ride on the bull that she saw how it was used to fight the dragon.

With eagerness, she stood up and ran towards the officer who is about to head back to the road, leaving her and the village.

As the vehicle moves away from her direction, she does not want to lose an opportunity to see how these strange people would achieve magic that can take out a dragon, let alone travel at great distances without needing a horse.

She went to a nearby vehicle only to see a giant armored man come out of the vehicle, watching from afar to take in the scenery of a native planet untouched by the emissions of all sorts from his homeworld. He took out his helmet only to show a well toned face with some scars across his cheeks that show that he had previous fights before he even went to this world.

He looked down to see a young girl dressed in green, holding a stick, and have short, aqua blue hair staring at him, and all the armored and arsenal behind the man.

The man then raised his eyebrow.

"You seem to be interested in our technology, and you seem to he breathing heavily. Are you looking for someone?" The giant man asked in their native language.

" Man, red hat. I want to see him." She replied.

"Ohh you mean Commissar Dreich? I was going back anyway. Come on, let's head to our place." He smiled as he escorted the young girl to what seems to be a giant vehicle that seems too small for the giant man to fit.

What makes it more strange end the vehicle has no wheels to begin with, which makes Lelei question on how it is supposed to move.

As the giant man sat on the driver's seat, pats on the side of the chair, signaling the girl to sit beside him, he smiled and then started up the vehicle, startling the girl as she holds the metal edge of the vehicle.

"This is a landspeeder, young lady. One of the finest vehicles of the Imperium. It can take you places way faster than the horses can take you. Grab a seat belt, we're heading straight to our base." The man chuckled as he puts the girl on the seat belt, and protective eyeglasses to protect on whatever speed they might through.

As the vehicle starts to levitate, he then accelerated the vehicle bit by bit until the girl becomes comfortable with the speed. He then accelerated at incredible speed reaching the headquarters few hours ahead before the commissar reaches.
