II

September 16, 2020; one week after the attack on the II Island

It's been five days since the ambush on the unknown enemy. The entire mountain had collapsed and left only smoke in the distance. We were all managed to be recovered by MePhone, but... his expressions had changed suddenly to being annoyed when recovering anyone dead.

24 Hours After September 11

Everything was in ruins; we had regrouped in the firepit area, but this was no competition matter anymore; we had criminals on our tail now. The question was how to evade them, though.

"MePhone, it shouldn't be too bad; we can talk out with diplomacy," Lightbulb disagreed with going to war.

"Look, we're already having little numbers, guys. Goiky's got us outnumbered 60 to 25, the Island had no guest characters on the show, while Goiky's had thousands, and those leaders are crazy... We're going to need all the help we can get! I'm sending you off to recruit all people who want to fight terrorism."

I was assigned to spread propaganda posters into other islands across the Pacific.

Present Day

It's been a few days since we spread word of the war. Our new allies... from Window, Calculator, and Gamey... along with recruits from all across the world in favor of our sympathy from an unwanted attack on innocents had now come to fight terrorism.

We were now completing a completely new base on the beaches of the island. The enormous tower at the top was for capital reasons, and our forces were at a peak. My battle buddy seemed to excel well in combat.

Marshmallow and I had garrison duty.

---

Goiky, Present Day

"Wait, when you say by a war, you mean we're now at war with... random people we don't know?" Gelatin asked.

"Not people we don't know! CRIMINALS THAT HAVE TERRORIZED THE WORLD FOR YEARS!" Four retorted.

"Okay, so we're fighting felony! Okay, but how do we build up an army from fourteen?" Firey questioned.

"Look, we've got the eliminated contestants, and countless amounts of recommended characters we can use as recruits; we've got the upper hand, let's crush 'em, what do you all say?"

"Good plan!" exclaimed Gelatin.

We arrived at the Big Rotating Building to retrieve the six contestants that must've been spinning around for a long time. But something was strange when we all noticed something when we arrived at the BRB.

"Wait; where's Taco?"

---

Suitcase had only fear left inside after the traumatizing disaster.

She was sitting near the edge of a helipad, looking at all of this madness; from competition to conflicts of war... but why?

"Suitcase? What's wrong this time?"

Balloon had steadily approached her, trying not to make her so frightened, that she would accidentally fall off and into the ocean.

"Balloon, I'm not sure about this. First we have an aggressive MePhone after mining for diamonds, then we have aliens, and now this. What even happened to the competition? Is this all a lie now? Is life a whole lie now?"

"Come on, Suitcase. Sometimes, the light of the cave is never that far out. There's always a way out. It's not like you'll be dead forever and hated or something like that; recovery centers are the now. We'll all make through this; you're not alone... " Balloon consoled Suitcase, giving her a soft, rubbery squish, while Suitcase began to blush.

And in the other room, Baseball began to shed a tear from the moment.

---

Four and the eliminated contestants were discussing about what was going to happen, when all of a sudden, the Freesmart Supervan radio activated with static.

"Hey, can you hear me?"

"Taco?! Where are you?! You're supposed to be here!!!" Four questioned.

"In a place where you want to be. You know where their new capital is?"

"Where?"

"On a beach. I'm heading over now to blow up the central power core. You want to defeat MePhone4, no?"

"Of course it is, they're criminals!" Four responded. "I also like a really good battle between sides..."

"I can do it," Taco responded. "I can get you into the base, but I need you as a distraction force. It will be your first battle, and I'm gonna self destruct the central power core to blow the whole base up. Get those troopers away from the base, and I can take care of the rest."

Sounded like a good plan.

The greatest plan.

---

Yin-Yang and the Cherries were busily prepping drones for a massive air force.

"Despite what the others may say, we can't have any alternate decisions or outcomes..." Right Cherry said.

"Look, from where I, or we, come from China," told Yin, "Meditation and making the best choices is the best option.... but we do come at a price... we have great fighting skills, also; that's what Yang's for. Japan and Korea are what made us too; you could also call us the Taeguck, Wade-Giles, or in-yō... if you know other other Asian languages, that is."

"I concur!" Ying replied, "Warrior spirit is in our blood! I've known Chinese karate, Korean Kuk Sool Won, Japanese Tae Kwan Doe, and countless other martial arts like the back of my palm!"

"Well, it's great to have you in the fight," Left Cherry replied.

---

"Okay, we're in."

We were about to commence our first battle with the enemy, which Four expressed as the, "murderers, criminals, and anarchists" that had done harm to the world for far too long. Gelatin had started to pilot us into the "capital" base, flying in the stratosphere, with help from X and Lollipop. A massive fleet of zeppelins had surrounded a single, biggest, circular airship. The surface looked extremely blueish below us, but the only zone that actually looked normal was a small hole that was in the center of the main airship.

"It looks like the only way in is through that massive airship that has some sort of aerospace shield, blocking any aircraft out of it's region. Since we have an enemy hijacked VTOL cargo plane, we should be able to be inoculated against the enemy sneakily," Lollipop informed.

"Assuming that they don't bypass it or see the glass," Gelatin objected.

"...and if they have?" I asked.

"Well, I think they shut the shield gate, and we're all annihilated in seconds and we'll all fall to our deaths. If we don't have parachutes, that is," Lollipop answered.

"Not me," Four responded. "I can survive without parachutes."

Sounded great to get in, but what about out?

---

Microphone and I had been on airspace shield duty, where we had to maintain an aerospace shield gate that kept aircraft out of the base... except for ours. It was a little boring, but... having it with Baseball and other recruits to train is still a big responsibility.

"Hey, uh, Mic? Mind if we talk for a bit?" I asked.

"Sigh... I know what you're going to say that I should tell the truth about Taco to everyone, and that I should be guilty... Knife, Taco wasn't exactly my soul; but I still have independence! And-"

"Well, yes, that, but... look, the reason I'm still onto you is not because I hate Taco or I'm a jerk like that, but... because I'm actually concerned about you. You've... changed over the past few years in this competition. Look at where we are now, from being in a competition to fighting a war now," I replied.

"Did I? Huh. I've deafened everyone's ears all the time, I've committed illegal covert cheating, AND I've partnered with a convict! Did I change?! Of course I did, you moron," Mic replied, trying to fight the issue.

"Moron. Taco? A moron? Look, listen; when I had discovered Taco's true colors after OJ won the million, I could see anger in her eyes. But there was something else I only knew just now: tears. Sure, failure is one thing, but revenge? That's just like putting yourself on drugs. Oh, at first it feels amazing! But in the end, it leaves you even worse than before... Just don't be afraid of the circuses that may tear you down, but when you fall into the elephant feces, you get back up. And you clean yourself in that crystal clear water. I guess... that's what we're all going through. Reminiscing on the past, and using it for today and the future."

I then looked into her eyes, as I saw a look of worry on her face, as her eyes reflected mine back. But I had faith. When this happens, we're all the same.

[ALERT: INCOMING MESSENGER.]

"Oop, better get back to work," I suggested.

---

"Okay, here it goes."

I had begun comms with the gate control in the push of a button. I must've hesitated for a moment, but it looks like we were actually doing this.

"VTOL Cargo Plane 4-Delta-Foxtrot-25-Alpha-4-Alpha, requesting a landing pad, over," I stated.

"VTOL Cargo Plane 4-Delta-Foxtrot-25-Alpha-4-Alpha, um, you're not on our schedule for arrival, over," Knife responded.

"Acknowledged, air control. We've been forced to... evacuate and reroute after the surprise attack on the mountain base. Transmitting clearance code now," I acknowledged. The only thing I had left to do was send the code to them for inspection... and wait it out.

A few minutes had gone by, but we got a response back.

"VTOL Cargo Plane 4-Delta-Foxtrot-25-Alpha-4-Alpha..."

It was the moment...

"...you're cleared for landing."

A huge weight felt like it had been lifted off of us, and I breathed a huge sigh a relief that we weren't about to be blown to smithereens.

A good thing that we've achieved first step.

Now to move onto the next.

---

Lightbulb and Paintbrush were assigned as hallway patrol in the massive complex. MePhone had the two paired up for "maximum effect". Although, Lightbulb felt some guilt over her that made it slower. Paintbrush seemed to be the only one that could coat over it.

"I'm not sure what to think right now. Test Tube, well, Testy was a little mad."

"I'm sure she'll understand, Lightbulb. After all, you were in the final four, and you were a good leader first season."

"But Paintbrush, the final four's unjust due to Microphone!"

"Buddy, please. You're a beacon of hope and light. Literally. It's just... you've gotta make it happen. Let it shine. Let someone help you paddle. After all, what's a lightbulb without any power and electricity?"

Lightbulb must've felt inspired, as her wire inside started to glow a little bit, while she caressed Painty's hair for a bit.

"I gotcha, Painty."

---

The clouds had suddenly revealed the gigantic capital; honestly, I have no idea how did the base expand so quickly after only a week. Planes and helicopters were everywhere, and bunkers with tunnels were connected like mazes of mazes.

"4-Delta-Foxtrot-2-5-Alpha-Four-Alpha, cleared for Landing Pad 9. Acknowledge, please."

"4-Delta-Foxtrot-2-5-Alpha-Four-Alpha proceeding to LP-9 as instructed."

My guess was that Taco was in the main building somehwere witht he gigantic tower. I'm preety tsure that the power core had to be in the center. The dish at the top must've been for communications, also.

"Landing track engaged and locked," Lollipop informed.

---

"OJ, OMG, I can't believe this; like, we've been assigned to, like, the same squad with you! #LUVUBABIE!!!!"

Heh, great. I was assigned to be on a squad with Paper, Salt, and Pepper; but I'm not sure how to handle this. I mean, she does love me like some sort of Senpai joke or something?! I mean, paper is more lax and loyal; but of course I thought of him as a friend.

"OJ, think of it as this way: you can get and manipulate Salt to do whatever you want! After all, if she really loves you, then will she do anything as she is told as... an obedient servent?~"

Heh. I guess Paper had a point.

"You know what? No, just, just, get out on patrol duty!" I ordered Salt.

---

No matter what happens, nothing would stop what would happen today. Today was the day. The day we began our crusade against terrorism. Let's get to work.

"Flower and Blocky, take everyone to the frontlines. Spread out and get wide from the ship. Find a position between here and the capital tower. Once you get to the best position, light the place up. Make 13 people feel like the most unlucky," Four briefed us.

Everyone had a positive tone, but still felt confused as to what Taco will do.

"Buy time for Taco... who knows what she will do to help us. Wait for the signal for us to leave."

"What should I do?" asked Gelatin.

"Keep the engine running. You're our only way out of this mess."

---

I continued to polish up and broom off dust on the landing pad, but I couldn't believe that sand would just come back every time.

"Soap, you've gotta stop sooner or later," Pickle objected, "You've gotta work smarter, not harder."

"I AM working smarter!" I replied back, "I'm maintaining inspe-"

Great. Another helicopter came in, blowing dust in my face. The plane had landed right in front of me, where I was coated with dirt all over myself. I must've grown a tolerant or something, since the day where Toilet splashed me with toilet water scarred me for life.

---

"Attention VTOL Cargo Plane 4-Delta-Foxtrot-25-Alpha-4-Alpha, be prepared to receive inspection team."

"Ready, everyone?"

Just then, a team of three had opened the back of the cargo doors. The entrance opened with steam coming out of the vents. The team had gone inside the hollow bay, marching inside in formation.

But wait; why was there nobody inside, though? There was a note.

Hey,

I'm just in the bottom of the cargo plane doing repair damages right now. You can see me down there.

But what they didn't realize, was that there was really a setup trap waiting to silence the inspection team within seconds. Everyone was down there.

---

An armored Hind helicopter had started approaching to the surface of the Coastal Capital Base.

General MePhone, we're approaching the coastal base now. Colonel Test Tube has been informed of your arrival.

---

The inspection team's bodies were carried away to be hidden in the closet compartments.

"Good luck, Lollipop." Gelatin told.

Gelatin had waited for the best time to have everyone exit, then yelled down the pilot hatch to the main cargo bay.

"Everyone, go now! You're clear!"

The secondary exit hatch had opened from the floor of the VTOL plane. The BFB contestants had slipped away, unnoticed, for now, into the very trees of the massive base complex.

And this secrecy all happened, while Taco, now with a... altered voice and look, snuck into a tunnel through a rail train. Taco hooked her hidden earpiece up to her right rear.

"I've got a bad feeling about-"

"Bomby!"

"What?" Bomby asked.

The rail train had now been driving towards the main massive tower, almost miles away from the landing pad. The thirteen BFB contestants, besides Gelatin, Four, and X (keeping the engine running); were now ready to

And a helicopter was escorted by fighters to the landing pad.

"We'll need a map," Taco whispered.

"Well, I'm sure there's one just lying about." Clock replied.

"Kid, you know what you have to do," told Bomby.

"I'll meet at the rendezvous point in a few minutes," Taco said.

The complex was massive with recruited characters marching around. She didn't realize it would actually be this big; but at least she could walk around through the camouflage of thousands of others; not to mention, she did participate in Inanimate Insanity, too.

---

Those bunkers were massive. Those BFB contestants could count at least 50 different positions that could be bombed.

"One per pad," ordered Blocky, giving everyone a bag of mini bombs. "Pick your spot. We'll need to draw them out of cover. I'll call the timing. GO!"

The BFB contestants had spread out across the massive field, running and sneaking like ants on a hill.  It was time to begin conquesting and bringing MePhone4, the criminal lord, as they were told, to justice.

Pad 21.

"Hey, did you hear, like, the rumors?" asked Salt.

"Yeah, like, those MIG-24's were like, getting obsolete," replied Pepper.

"Oh, wow, it's like, about time for that."

The conversation didn't last long after between the two rip-offs, as Teardrop suddenly managed to knock them out with her newly brought sniper rifle.

Pad 13.

Rustling was heard as Leafy, Balloony, and Flower waded in the bushes, sneaking around. But that was no use, since the wind gave them away.

"Huh? Someone there?" questioned Soap.

Too late for that. Flower meleed Soap with her gigantic minigun within seconds.

Pad 06.

Pickle and Tissues were on patrol, but of course Pickle had socially distanced himself away from Tissues because of his "condishawn", and fearing it may have been related to COVID-19.

Didn't matter at the point, though. Lollipop managed to ambush Tissues before he could even let out a booger, but Tissues exploded into a million snot bubbles once dead.

"Hey! What is go-"

Pickle didn't have time to react, as Loser diced him up with his new dual combat machetes. Killing wasn't the matter at the point, though. They needed to light the entire base up. Loser took out a mini bomb and put into onto a magnetic crate, cranking the bomb to detonation mode.

"Charges set."

---

"General," told Test Tube, "What brings you here back at our new capital base?"

"Intel," he replied. "I want every place... every patch of land on Earth scanned for where the enemy could be hiding."

"Everywhere?!" questioned Test Tube.

"Yes, everywhere."

Get started.

---

TeleVision had almost gotten the last password cracked to a map of the facility. Bomby and Taco had watched outside for anyone that could be a threat. While they did realize that these private spy operations were a little unordinary, at least it would provide advantage to the BFB side, well, before... switching. Only a few characters left to go.

And meanwhile, outside, the fourteen foreigners were emerging from the trees, aiming their guns at an entrance of a tunnel, waiting for the signal from Taco.

---

"Tele?"

"The only route to the central power core is through 5 different layers of security, with 100 recruited characters. We'll most likely not even make it through a third of the way before we are found and killed," informed TeleVision.

100 soldiers. No way were we getting through that. Time to call in the big guns.

"Guys, talk to me," spoke Taco.

"Ready, ready, standing by..." breathed Blocky.

Clock gave us the thumbs up. Perfect coordination to start it all.

"Do it."

Everyone nodded to Blocky, signalling they were ready. One push of a button, and the next second, flames were everywhere, as a chain of explosions was heard.

---

The central command of the base, which had a giant glass window that saw the entire base overhead, was completely silent as orange and yellow dots sparkled the bright beach, giving the hint of obvious invasion.

MePhone turned toward the crowd.

"Are we blind?!"

"DEPLOY THE GARRISON! MOVE!!!!!!!"

Alarms had blared everywhere as everyone started running to who knows where. Of COURSE MePhone had to have this. The day that another base was completed, and the second he showed up, this happens.

What sounded and felt like an earthquake in the halls turned into a deafinging sound in the air. Taco, Bomby, Nickel, Casebook, TeleVision, and Clock soon heard it, and it didn't take long to realize what was happening.

"TAKE COVER, EVERYONE!"

Within three seconds, hundreds of fresh, new recruits of the Inanimate Insanity army had created a massive sea of running people with rifles, which had the potential of crushing anyone in their path due to sheer amount of numbers. It wasn't until fifteen minutes afterwards that it was all over.

The end for the beginning, that is.

---

"...troopers! Troopers! Hostiles on the left!"

Gelatin, Four, and X had watched in awe as enemy recruits had scattered all over the base. Gelatin made sure to close the cargo door to not attract attention.

And then, it happened.

Carnage happened everywhere as Flower sprayed tons of soldiers charging out of the bunker with her massive minigun, while bullets had now started to whiz everywhere as all hell broke loose between the two sides with their first ground battle. Teardrop, meanwhile, provided sniper support in the very back.

MOVING ON THE LEFT! COVERING FIRE!

---

Sir, it's the Island Coastal Capital. They're reporting the incursion, just like you predicted.

I want to speak to the council immediately.

They're there, sir. On the capital.

... the original plans for our endgame are there, are they not?

Th-they are, sir.

...very well.

"...TWO! YOU HAVE TO HEAR THIS NOW! TWO!!!"

Naily came barging out of the door, yanking headphones off of her. There was no time to alert Two about the crisis that was happening miles out from Goiky.

"Stop right there, Naily!" Snowball intervened.

"Let him speak, Snowball." Two objected.

"Intercepted an II transmission on encrypted radio, Two. Four and his BFB contestants are invading the II Island Capital." Naily declared.

"I-I need to speak with Golf Ball and the team leaders immediately," replied Two.

"He's gone to his zeppelin! He's going to fight!"

A look of ambition appeared on Snowball, while Two put his hands on his hips with a smile.

---

"Left flank! GO!"

Bullets continued to whiz around as the squad of 13 impromptu soldiers were mercilessly combating the, former, Inanimate Insanity, now enemy, contestants. Flower had continued to supress fire with her minigun, but Bubble had been shot from Apple and Marshmallow, and no way to bring recover her. Apple and Marshmallow had dug into a few crates around the entrance of the bunker, while Ruby was caught between the crossfire they were making.

"NO!"

---

TPOT contestants had begun jumping into their fighters, lugging around ammo and equipment for battle.

"Attention, all flight and ground personnel, please report to your team leaders immediately. All personnel, please report to your team leaders immediately. We've been ordered to deploy immediately  to the enemy capital. Pilots, you'll be briefed by General Two on route. Semper fidelis to all."

"The capital?! I hate the capital! Why doesn't nobody tell me anything, Liy?" mumbled Fanny.

"Because you have a very negative reputation, Fanny," replied Liy.

"I HATE YOU!"

---

"MOVE! MOVE! MOVE! PUSH RIGHT FLANK!"

The trees had now started to become even more on fire as the fighting intensified, with II contestants continuing to fall. Toilet himself had gone out into the field personally to try and take care of the situation himself with a plunger gun, while Spongy chucked grenades to counter it.

"FORWARD! FORWARD! Keep drawing them out!" yelled Blocky.

The smoke only got bigger as Teardrop hit explosive barrels due to ricochet fire with her sniper, and Flower launched an RPG, clearing out a path for advance.

---

Pad 12, report to ground. Coming in our flanks. We need numbers.

"Pad 14? What's going on down there? Status please! All zones, report in immediately," Paper ordered.

"OH NO! We have hostiles everywhere! We're taking fire! Pad 12! Pad 14! Requesting assistance!" exclaimed Cheesy.

With all that chatter going on, Gelatin knew what he had to do next.

"This is Pad 4, this is Pad 4. I spotted 4 enemy squads heading 4 feet to the west on pad 4," informed Gelatin.

"Get on there," requested Gelatin, giving the headphones to X, "Tell them you're pinned down by the enemy on Pad 8."

"THIS IS PAD 8! WE'RE BEING OVERRUN! WE CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE OF THIS! HELP US!" X exclaimed, in his good enemy distressed voice.

"Pad 10, Pad 12, Pad 6, please confirm," ordered Paintbrush. "Confirm and report. Get reinforcements down to Pad 8 this instant!"

Central Command was also having the same anexiety as they didn't want to thrun this into a gigantic disaster at the mountain again.

---

Getting into the central power core seemed hard enough after escaping the Tiny Loser Chamber and the Locker of Losers; the ID controls were always dening Taco into the core, even though she had been on Inaniamate Insanity seasons, twice.

"This is not working, Tele!" Taco exclaiemd.

"Right hand!" TeleVision retorted.

Taco used her right hand this time, and it finally worked when the doors to the central power core had opened, turning on lights that had the massive power core behind a wall of bulletproof glass. The five of them couldn't help but gaze upon how menacing it looked, and what it would be like after they executed the plan.

---

At the moment, the BFB side seemed to have the upper hand, with annihilating the front line. But that wasn't going to last for long, when Teardrop sensed... a bad feeling... when she started waving her hands towards Flower, but her minigun was way too loud for anyone to hear, until her fluttering was finally heard annoyingly.

"What?!" Flower glared at Teardrop.

Teardrop sensed something... and she pointed her finger behind Flower.

And a giant walker prototype emerged from the smoke.

There was no time to react as the cannons opened fire. Everyone started yelling and pointing to run wherever the walker wasn't. Then three more gave chase. As if that weren't bad enough, the jungles had made it harder for them to run away.

---

But sanctuary was on it's way.

A gigantic zeppelin with more than thirty F-18s and an assortment of helicopters emerged suddenly from the clouds, dominating the airspace. As for Black Hole, he was currently in charge of using his dark matter to power the airship, giving it and keeping it ultimate power. and fuel.

"This is General Two of the TPOT Air Force; all squadron leaders, report in!" Two announced.

"General, this is Blue Leader standing by," replied Golf Ball.

"This is Gold Leader, standing by," Donut spoke.

"This is Red Leader, standing by," Pin stated.

"This is Green Leader, standing by," Remote replied.

"This is Gray Leader, standing by," responded Cloudy.

"Sir! The enemy has bought in reinforcements!"

The sight was horrifying to see as the massive zeppelin had oversized and overmatched the other blimps in the sky. Fan couldn't help but gape his mouth wide open as he took a picture of it as a panorama; but his senses came back to him shortly afterward.

"Get MePhone on the line! Immediately!" Fan ordered.

---

"General, the enemy has bought in air reinforcements. They're amassing around the airspace shield!" Test Tube informed.

Great. More pests to worry about. MePhone ran to take care of who knows what.

"Lock down the base, lock it all down." MePhone muttered.

"And close the shield gate?"

"Do it!"

---

"Attention, all squadrons: attack formations! Form up on Golf Ball! Blue Leader, get everyone to the surface before they close that aerospace shield gate!" Two ordered.

"Copy you, General," complied Golf Ball, "Everyone, on me!"

"Roger, Blue Leader," replied Pin, "We won't have long."

All of the aircraft swooped into the shield, zipping down and not holding back from full speed. Of course, you could say that the II contestants had the same adrenaline to make sure they stayed out.

"Close the shield gate energy now!" Baseball exclaimed, "Get our ships inside!"

The opening on the shield wasn't going to be big for long; and only half of the forces had managed to make their way into the opening without getting shot down.

"Comeoncomeoncomeoncomeon!!!!" Foldy yelled, as her ship started warming up due to entry burn.

"PULL UP!" Stapy objected.

But by then, it was too late. The shield

---

"The TPOT contestants have arrived!"

"...what?"

"There's fighting on the beach," TeleVision informed, "They've locked down the base... they've closed the shield gate."

"Wait... that means we're trapped in here... what do we do now?" Taco questioned.

"We could teleport out before we self destruct the base. You did have MePad, right? We'll need to get a way to have a signal to take out the jamming. It's the shield gate that's jamming us from the outside, that's the problem. Teleportation won't work if it's up. Someone has to take the shield gate down."

"...Gelatin. Gelatin, can you hear me? Four, please tell me you, X, and Gelatin are still alive out there!" Taco relayed.

"...guys?"

"I-I'm here," Gelatin stuttered, "We're being quiet... being subtle during this right now, we've started fighting, the facility is on lockdow-"

"I KNOW. Please, listen to me! You've gotta tell them to blow up the shield so we can escape when the base self destructs," Taco informed.

"W-wait, but we're not connected to the tower! We can't communicate without a secure, authorized connection," Gelatin replied.

"It's the only way we're getting out of here with a bang," Taco ordered, "Find a way!"

"Call up the backup," Nickel commented.

Taco, Nickel, and CaseBook went into the central power core bridge, but Taco felt like Bomby wanted something.

"You'll need this." Taco gave her gun to Bomby. Of course he questioned his commander's orders, as she was the lead of the squad.

"...you wanted it, right?"

Bomby looked at it one more time, but gave a thumbs up as a compared it with his banana. AFter all,  At least it's better than that.

"T-t-t-t-t-tt-h-h-ha-n-an-k y-y-y-ou-u- C-o-o-m-m-ma-n-d-d-e-e-e-r-r-r-r-r--r-....."

---

"RUN! RUN!"

The helpless squad had started running on the beach away from the walkers, but their mobility proved to be no match for raw firepower from the cannons, not to mention the now backed enemy, now having the high ground. Sand got everywhere as everyone desperately tried to find cover.

"Fire on my command!"

Flower loaded another rocket into the launcher, stunning the head of the lead walker for a few seconds. But it didn't make a single dent. The cannons had aimed straight towards them now, ready to fire and end the battle brutally.

But then, the walker blew.

"LOOK!"

The F-18 reinforcements had opened fire on the enemy, crushing the enemy with carpet bombing and missles, as the BFB contestants cheered on the friendly air support. Golf Ball gave off the squad a salute, as the squadron moved in to turn the tide.

---

"Get ready, Four. We're gonna have to get out there."

"What's happening?" questioned X.

"The enemy's closed the shield gate. We're stuck here. For now; but we have reinforcements moving in. We just need to get a signal strong enough to get through to them and let them know that we're trapped on Pad 9. For that, we need to get an authorized communication; WiFi's disabled in this aerospace. Now, I can patch us in at our part, but this is where the frontline comes in. You need to get on the radio; get our guys out there to find the "master switch"; get them to authorize our cable from our position to the tower. You got that, X?" summarized Gelatin.

"Um, well, I actually had a question about-"

"LET'S GO!"

---

Two's zeppelin and the F-18 squadrons had begun to bombard the shield and the main base with a plethora of missiles and machine gun rounds. Attack runs had struck the shield and the enemy ships simultaneously as ships were overwhelmed.

"What's going on down there, Remote?" asked Two.

"Unknown, sir. We can't contact anyone on the ground. All frequencies are too static for them." Remote replied.

"Keep trying. Engage those zeppelins and let's start destroying that shield!" ordered Two.

"Yes sir!"

Explosions and smoke along with tracer fire had now surrounded the fighters as they began attack runs on the flak cannons and the surface of the enemy airships.

"We're going in!"

Pin led her squadron into a skim run as they split up to focus fire on the towers and bridges that were key spots in the blimps. Rockets continued to spit out of the ships as shrapnel was all over the canopy.

---

"Get some!"

Golf Ball led her squadron to blow up the majority of the II forces. Three helicopters had begun attack runs with machine guns, taking out the legs of the walkers. The enemy had ran for their lives as bombs burst on the ground, flares firing everywhere.

A triumphant squadron had now led the battle into the skies.

---

"Look in port 4, functions must be there."

"How do I find that?" I asked.

"Searching," answered TeleVision. "I can unlock the functions for you, but you'll need to locate them, first."

Tons of monitors and lights lit up all over the displays, with so many confusing, and rambling, words on them. It felt almost like space for a bit with all of the small lights like stars.

"What am I supposed to do with these bloody things?"

At least we were down here without any sort of enemy force; the hall doors that were leading up to here were locked thanks to TeleVision's magic of hacking. I had MePad shrunk into the size of a small phone for teleportation; good thing I have my ways of stealing anything. Bomby and Nickel were looking into the bypassing computers, while CaseBook was researching herself inside of her how to fluctuate the energy channels.

I just couldn't imagine the chaos happening above ground.

---

"Fox 3!"

Another turret had blown as the air battle raged with dots in the air.

"Red Leader, this is Gold Leader. We're starting our attack on the flak cannons," Donut commented,  "Keep it tight, and watch out for those missiles!"

The attack run didn't seem to do any damage, since predator drones had now launched from hangar doors, turning into dark swarms, just like bee hives.

"Oh shit, swarms! We've got drones!" Pillow yelled.

"Two! We've got enemy swarms coming in!" Remote alerted.

Hundreds of drones had embellowed the zeppelin in horror as rumbling and shaking echoed the ship, while pipes started to shake a bit.

And the battle had only just begun.

---

"Blocky?! Blocky, come in are you there?"

The small squad had started to charge towards the tower, taking up places at a range from it. Blocky had led everyone towards the main defense line of the complex, leading a full on assault. X and Four were the biggest matters first, though.

"Four sent a signal from here. He's contacting our air support, but you have to open up a line to the tower," X ordered.

"How?! Please advise," Blocky asked.

"There's an access switch at the base of the tower," X answered.

"Access switch? Describe. What are we doing?"

"What does it look like?" asked X to Gelatin, who was suiting up for outside, "The master switch! Where is it?!"

---

The battle had suddenly spilled onto the open areas, turning into an all out invasion of the base, from a small close quarters combat fight. Several F-18s had closed into on the small squad's position.

"Helicopters, reinforce those outnumbered troops on the beach," Golf Ball declared. "Everyone, on me. We have to take out those cannons and cover the ground forces."

The three choppers had landed onto the BFB contestants' position, dropping off troops.

"Troop reinforcements!" exclaimed Bottle, "Here we go!"

Small arms fire had bombarded the helicopters while unloading, but it was too late to stop the cavalry from backing the squad of ten, now.

"For the Alliance!"

What was now left of the original alliance of Pencil, Match, and Ice Cube, along with Saw, Dora, Gaty, and Firey Jr., charged into battle with the original squad, finally great to be back after over six months of being separated with two competitions.

---

Missles had been hitting the sheild for over five minutes now, but the aerospace shield surface still continued to hold steadily.

"We're having no effect on that damn shield!" Tree informed.

"How much more can that thing take?!" questioned Pie.

The drone swarms had now closed in on Coiny, who split up, taking evasive maneuvers.

"Stick close, partner! Where are you going?!" asked Pin.

"They're all over me! I'm trying to lose them!" Coiny shouted.

"THIS IS COINY OVERWHELMED! I NEED HELP!"

Coiny could only hold back as he watched as he was blown into bits within seconds.

---

"Task Manager, Protocol Overidder..." Nickel searched through the menus of the central power core.

"Two screens down," TeleVision tried, "Command Console, try and open that one."

---

"I've got one on my tail!"

"I'm on him!" Golf Ball replied.

Fighters had continued to fight it out over the capital, as air raid sirens and anti-aircraft cannons had lit up the sky, even though it was still daytime. Gelatin had ran to plug in a cable connecting from an outlet, all the way to the hijacked ship, still having Four and X hiding.

---

"Commands available: Reroute, Shut Down, Divert..."

Of all of the countless buttons and menus to select, there was one that stood out to Taco.

"...Overloard."

"How do you know it's that one?" Nickel questioned.

"I know because it's what I do," Taco replied.

"TeleVision, we need to unlock the command for Overloard!"

"Overloard. Accessing it now," TeleVision reported.

A green light started blinking and beeping on the central area of the core, signifying that was where Overloard was going to

"That's it. That's the one."

---

Sir, we have unauthorized access to the central power core.

...what?

It's just come in, sir.

...send my guards into battle on the ground- two men, with me, now! Get that beach under control, Test Tube!

---

"Gelatin? Are you there? Did you call the air reinforcements?" Taco asked.

"The master switch isn't activated!" Gelatin responded, "We can't get a connection."

"You need to! They HAVE to hit the fleet! If the shield's open, we can get out of here!" Taco demanded.

Taco and Bomby gazed upon the massive core behind the glass. The time to execute the plan wasn't ready. Not yet, anyway...

---

In the skies, a fresh, new squadron of drones escorting an enemy helicopter was inbound. Blue Squadron moved to intercept, but many were shot down before they could fire. Golf Ball took out one of them, and the drones passed between them.

"GB! Behind you!"

The drones circled back around, locking onto Golf Ball, who took manuevers to dodge the drones, but one of her engines got hit.

"No, no, no, NO, NO, NO!!!!!"

It wasn't long before GB went spiraling down before crash landing into the hundreds of enemy recruits, smashing through infantry, while collaterally punching a hole through the lines. She was smart enough to bail before the impact, managing to survive, though.

The battle enraged, with tons of drones and F-18s in the sky, and the ground forces taking the plunge into fire, but Bottle's helicopter got shot down, too. To make matters worst, the same helicopter escorted by the fighters opened up it's doors, and landed it's own enemy special forces; MePhone4's guards, on the ground, easily defeating the majority of the ground forces with armor-piercing machine guns. Blocky, Flower, Teardrop, and Loser were all that remained, taking cover behind a bunker wall. This was really bad timing, as the master switch was right by them, and it wouldn't be long before they caught up to them, killing them all to the very last one standing.

---

[ALERT: BREACH DETECTED IN CENTRAL CORE HALLWAY.]

Uh oh. Time to go. The squad of five had nowhere to run, but the only way out seemed... to be the core.

Climbing. Their only shot. Great.

"Stand back," Taco ordered, blasting the glass away, giving a good shot of them jumping from the bridge to the gigantic sphere. Luckuly, there had been soem bars taht they coudl go onto, and Taco had stolen magnetizing grips from GB's lab on a raid before all this happened. The drop down below was jawdropping, one wrong move, and you'd be crushed by the devestating push of gravity into pieces, remains only left.

Taco took the first ordeal, lunging herself towards the core, getting her far enough to hang onto the core. Even then, dread and terror had tried to pull her down, but the only thing she had left to fight was the temptation to let go. The windy ventilation had smacked their faces, as Bomby held a signal device, that would activate "Overloard" when they were away from the site. There was no way to defuse it but from the detonator remote itself.

---

"Blocky, Blocky, come in, PLEASE, I'm tied in at my end, I just need my line to be authorized!" Gelatin yelled.

"H-hang on..." panted Blocky, "The master switch... it's over on that console."

For a minute, none of the four moved. But Loser, always the bold guy he was, had summoned all the courage he had in him... and then,

"I'm going!"

But Loser was easily gunned down by the advanced MePhones, filled with bullet holes to the brink.

---

MePhone4 had advanced towards the power core hallway, but the doors were shielded shut. No matter for MePhone, however; since the doors could easily be cut open by himself, personally. MePhone cut open the doors with an obsidian flamer, melting the doors within seconds.

Nickel and TeleVision could handle themselves with the magnitizing boots that Taco stole, however, ridges had almost gave away the grip from the core. Bomby planted in a signal antenna that connected to the signal device Bomby possessed, giving them access to the command "Overloard".

"I-i-i-i-g-g-o-t--itt!!!"

Bomby had slipped for a moment when planting the detonator, but CaseBook noticed, and helped him up.

"Careful! You okay?! Let's go!"

MePhoen had opened the core door, exposing the squad more than sitting ducks.

"Go to the back of the core!"

---

As bodies of the fallen allies had laid everywhere, with Blocky now dead, Teardrop nwo realized what she had to do. Teardrop knew she would be gone. She knew everything she'd done here would be over after this. She'd go out like it. And a single phrase echoed through her mind, and you could even hear it through her hopeful looks.

For Goiky.

Teardrop went out into open, giving herself completely into carnage and panic... as all Flower could do was watch.

"TEARDROP!!!!"

---

Bomby used Taco's pistol and stunned the two MePhones, as one fell to the bottom of the shaft, while the other got knocked back.

As for MePhone4, he didn't

---

As shots rang all around her, Teardrop's silence persisted as she continued to not falter in the face of unease and anxiety. The crack of the barrel, the spark of the flame, the thunder in the sky, all seemed to fade away for a moment as her silence was the loudest sound in the air... to her.

"TEARDROP! GET BACK!!!"

Teardrop finally made it towards the console, gripping onto the switch as tight as she could, pushing it from a red light to green, as a signal pulse was let out.

<ACCESS GRANTED>

"Yes! We have a signal!"

---

Shots continued to exchange as Taco, Bomby, Nickel, CaseBook, and TeleVision made their way towards the rear side of the core, as Bomby covered their position with

"Get to the roof, get out!"

MePhone had ceased fire when the five were around the core, and of course, MePhone couldn't hit them when they were behind it. MePhone rushed to give chase.

---

"TEARDROP! GET BACK! GET TO COVER!"

Teardrop evaporated into the air as one of the MePhones launched an underbarrel rocket, exploding the entire master switch console within seconds, swallowing Teardrop in flames, making her disappear from existence.

"TEARDROP!"

Flower rushed to try and recover her final alive comrade, through the smoke and flames that remained, but all that was left from Teardrop's last location at the console was a note.

Look to them, and you'll always find me.

Them? Who's "them"? She's gone. Dead. Deceas-

Wait, the recovery centers.

Four has recovery powers.

X is not dead. Neither is Four.

---

The drones had started to gain the upper hand, as countless rounds of machine gun fire shook the bridge.

"Two, our armor is down to 50%! We're sustaining heavy damage!" Remote warned.

"There's no turning back now on this! We have to press the attack!" affirmed Two, as another drone squadron hit the bridge.

Fighters had continued to combat it out in the air, as Donut lead his squadron to another exposed zeppelin.

"Hit that opening!" Donut commanded.

"We see it, Gold Leader! Fox 2!" Fries acknowledged.

Autocannon fire had dented the engines of another blimp, causing the movement of the zeppelin slowly stopped moving until it was completely still in the air; turbines moving, but no turning or forward or back.

"Guys, what's happening?!" Fan exclaimed.

"We can't move the blimp, sir! We're stuck in the air!" a technician replied.

Two slowly observed the unusual behavior in the blimp. It couldn't move, but it didn't shut down that it fell out of the sky.

"Huh. That blimp's disabled from turning or moving!"

---

Gelatin had frantically fiddled with the communication controls as he desperately tried to gain a connection with anyone in the air.

"This is the BFB ground forces fighting the enemy, calling any allied Goiky ships that can hear me!

No response. Gelatin threw his fist on the floor in anger as he tried to get anyone on the line.

"IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?! THIS IS GELATIN, COME IN, OVER!"

Two had heard the distress call from the speaker, and responded immediately.

"This is General Two of TPOT, Gelatin! We can hear you!"

Gelatin had felt triumphant as connection had been tied in with the air support; help from TPOT, amazing! Gelatin had to tell Two everything.

"W-we have the upper hand, w-w-we... they've infiltrated the tower; they're gonna self destruct the power core; you have to take down the shield gate! It's the only way we're getting out of here before it blows!"

Two couldn't believe what Four's extravagant plan was. But he went along with the act, anyway.

"Call up Red Leader immediately. I have an idea," Two ordered. "Stand by, Gelatin. We're on your way! Give us your position!"

"Roger, General," Gelatin replied, "Okay, Four! We're getting out of here!"

---

Flower knew what she had to do now.

First Teardrop did it, now Flower would follow suit. But both would see each other on the other side once Four recovered them after this mess. Flower took her minigun and roamed around the ruins, witnessing all the fire, dust, and smoke that had been provoked during the entire midst of the battle. Pain had weighed down Flower. But what had weighed pain even more was honor. Honor to fight.

As MePhone forces emerged from the dust, Flower didn't waste a single one of her shots, lifting all of the strength she had left in her.

"We have countless amounts of lives... but I'll make this one count."

Flower shot her gun several times, taking out the MePhones, carrying a cross of weakness over her back. As she took shots that had inflicted pain, she got up on her feet again, ignoring it all, using everything she had, disregarding sweat and blood soaking her. Then, the very last MePhone had an armored tank at Flower.

Flower looked up towards the clouds; and used her very last rocket from her launcher to kill the last enemy. And she knew she would see everyone on the other side alive thanks to Four.

At least, IF Four was alive.

---

The climb to the very top of the building was a long and rough endeavor, but at least they were away from MePhone4 for now. The only opening to the roof was a large vent that was wide open, but it was shutting open and closed because of a faulty wire. The timing had to be especially perfect, as the shaft was only open for about 5 seconds at a time.

Taco waited for the best time to go, then when the shaft was closed, Taco hung from the ceiling bars, and waited for the second for the vent to open.

Then, she jumped up into it.

---

"Red Squadron, moving into attack position! All ships, stand clear!"

Pin and her squadron moved to take out the port side engines of the disabled zeppelin, which was right next to the other zeppelins nearby. The sight of even the smaller airships were a little frightening comparing to the size of the minuscule F-18s. The rest of the squadrons braced for the big moment, as all missiles were ready at that point to launch.

"Everyone, give everything you've got!"

---

F-18s and drones were continuing to tear each other apart in the troposphere, as Blue Squadron was conflicting with severe casualties, dropping like flies, as so were the drones. All this happened while Taco had emerged from the vent, with her squad regrouping on her on the roof of the tower.

"Guys, look!"

The squad had witnessed the battle surrounding the tower, and the awe of all those ships being destroyed, one by one, couldn't keep their eyes off of it. A perfect time to get out of here, though; Taco initiated the shrunken MePad now for teleportation extraction, holding down the home button. But an error screen showed up on it.

[ERROR: TELEPORTATION DENIED. JAMMING SIGNAL ACTIVE.]

Taco looked at it with disappointment, but she took the time to go to the center of the roof, where she did something with a console, connected to the very satellite communication dish. Looked like the five could only do now was to watch the battle...

And hold out, until the shield was down.

But meanwhile, MePhone4 had been coming up fast in an elevator.

---

The engines that had been disabled from the zeppelin above had started to tilt it sideways towards the direction of the shield. Even worse, the rest of them were in the line of impact from it, as crews scrambled to try and get out of the inevitability of disaster.

"REVERSE ENGINES! FULL POWER!" commanded Fan.

But by then, it was too late to change the fate of

---

[JAMMING DISABLED. TELEPORTATION GRANTED.]

The shield was now down. Taco smiled, now that extraction was allowed, but an enemy drone spotted the squad on the roof. It looked like it was about to open fire, but Taco wasn't gonna let them become dead meat. Not at this point.

"EVERYBODY, JUMP!!!"

The five had jumped off of the tower...

And MePhone4 had seen them in the eyes for one second as he exited the elevator...

Before they turned purple and disappeared from the next, as Bomby pushed the trigger.

"WARNING: OVERLOARD PROTOCOL - SELF DESTRUCT INITIATED. EVACUATE THE FACILITY INTERMEDIATELY. REPEAT, OVERLOARD PROTOCOL - SELF DESTRUCT INITIATED. EVACUATE THE FACILITY INTERMEDIATELY."

The base started to crumble as all the hard work in a week started to disintegrate away in minutes. MePhone ran to another helipad, as aircraft and warships were scrambling to leave the area.

But as he was leaving the area, one thought provoked his mind...

Who were they?

---

"There's no time to get Taco, we've gotta go, now!"

Gelatin, Four, and X made their way out of the base, completely abandoning the ruined, smoking city. Four had a good look as the complex began to rumble, but Gelatin had gotten a sense of fear from it, pulling away, and joining the air support as fast as possible.

---

"Sir, we're detecting a massive heat disturbance erupting in the center of the Capital Facility," Remote alerted.

The base had started to glow as Overloard initiated.

"Alert: Time to core overload: 30 seconds."

A massive nuclear explosion had expanded across the entire facility, destroying everything and everyone that was left from the surface and the troposphere. Two only watched in horror as the explosion could be seen from miles away; its flaming ghost engulfing the very last of the battle.

"Four, X... thank you for your service... All ships, return to Goiky, our work here is done... for now."

---

September 17, 2020, 24 Hours Later

"Two, we've just recieved a message from the broadcast at the Capital. Says it was sent yesterday. What is it that they've given us?"

"...Hope."
