Wait, wait. Before you guys bring out the stones. I know you guys are mad at me. I'm sorry for not posting for so long.

This semester has been tough for me. I resumed late because of some certain circumstances, so I was one month behind my colleagues. I had to catch up on everything they had done. Copy notes, do assignments, write quiz, read my books because I did not understand what they taught.

So I'm very sorry guys. I promise you it will not happen again and if it does I would inform you guys before hand.

Now that everyone is calm, here's some cookies to celebrate my return🍪🍪🍪🍪

Vivian POV

I entered inside the living room and I saw the twins cuddled up together with Adrian on the couch.

"Mom!!!" They yelled running up to me.

"Hey darlings." I greeted, hugging them.

"How was school today?" I asked.

"Mom, I beat a boy at school today." Miles stated boldly.

I looked at him perplexed. "You what??"

"Yes mom, miles fought with a boy today because of me." Maya added.

"Why?"

"He was picking on Maya, She came to me crying. So I went looking for him and when I found him, I beat him up." Miles stated puffing his chest.

"Honey, it's not good to fight at school. Why didn't you report to the teacher? she would have handled it. What if you had gotten injured in the process of beating him up?" I asked worried.

"The teacher wouldn't have done anything except scolding him and he would still come back and do it again, no one touches my sister and goes away freely. He made Maya cry, I wanted to teach him a lesson."

Is this my six year old son talking like this?

I looked at the annoyed look on his face, gosh he looks and sounds so much like his father.

"Okay I understand your point, but next time report to the teacher first and if she doesn't do anything then when you come home, you report to me or your dad and we will handle it. I will march up to your school and beat the kid myself. Don't take matter into your own hands again, okay?"

"Okay." He nodded.

"Come here baby girl." I cooed.

"Are you hurt?" I asked checking her body.

"No mom, I'm fine. My brother took care of me." She said smiling.

"Aww, that's so sweet. I'm proud of you Miles for taking care of your sister and because of that I'm going to prepare a delicious spaghetti for you guys." I stated.

"Yay!!!" They cheered happily.

"And look, I bought lots of things for you guys. Come let's go to your room, so I can show you what I bought."

"Vivian."

I heard my name called and I stopped walking. Oops, I forgot Adrian was in the room.

"Okay kids, take the bag upstairs. I'll be there with you guys shortly." I said handing the bag over to them.

"Come on Miles, hurry up let's go see what mom bought." Maya bounced happily dragging her brother up the stairs.

Seeing that my kids were out of sight I answered "Yes sir."

"Come here." He said coldly.

What have I done this time?

I walked quietly towards him. He sat on the chair, with the top three button of his shirt opened, showing me a peak of his tan chest.

I gulp nervously.

He taps his finger on his knees impatiently.

"Sir, you called."

"Vivian."

"Yes sir."

"What did I say about buying things for my kids without my permission?" He asked staring at my face, I kept my eyes downcast to the ground not wanting to break another rule.

Is he serious right now?

I've totally forgotten about those his stupid rules that he gave me. I think that's rule number 5. Which says "anything I want to do concerning our kids he should be informed first."

"Sir, I'm sorry I forgot about it. I just saw those cute clothes and I thought it will look good on them."

"Vivian, just tell me why you like breaking my rules."

Because they are stupid, for starters.

"Sir, I'm sorry I didn't do this one on purpose. I promise to take your permission next time I plan on buying something for them." I said holding back my sarcasm.

"Are you being sarcastic with me?" He asked standing up.

I've done it again, this my big mouth has landed me in trouble.

"No sir I ....." I stammered.

He started moving towards me like a predator playing with his prey before he attacks.

I moved backwards slowly planning my escape.

The door is far from me, but if I'm fast enough, I can bolt out of here without him catching me. I regret not taking my gym classes seriously.

My legs are short, I doubt I will be able to make it out of here without him catching me and if he does he will devour me.

"Don't think of running away because I will always catch you." He warned.

I gulp.

He started coming close to me, I tried moving backwards but then I realized that my back is against the wall, literally and figuratively.

He stopped in front of me. Caging me with his strong wide arms.

"Vivian..." He whispered.

I shut my eyes tightly breathing nervously.

Why does he have to be so scary?

"Vivian, open your eyes." He commanded.

I shook my head.

"Vivian.." He warned.

Not wanting to get into anymore trouble I opened my eyes, staring at his chest.

"Look at me."

I raised my eyes nervously to meet his stormy grey eyes.

He stared intently at me.

I got weak at my knees and he used his hands to hold my waist to support me up.

How did things escalate to this?

"Why are you doing this to me?" He asked breathing heavily.

"Doing what?" I asked placing my hands on his chest.

"Why are you making it hard for me to resist you?" He asked placing his forehead on mine.

I clutched his shirt tightly.

"Why are trying so hard to resist me, I'm your wife Dee, why are you treating me like this?"

"Say it again." He commanded.

"Say what?"

"Call me that name again."

"Dee." I said placing my hands on his cheeks and caressing it softly.

"God, I've missed that nickname." He murmured.

I gave him that nickname when we were dating.

"Say it again."

"Dee." I called, rubbing my nose softly against his.

"Why are you rejecting my love? What did I do wrong? Please tell me I'm ready to change." I begged.

"Viv..." He said, his voice so pained.

"Just let me in, why are you pushing me away?" I asked staring softly into his eyes.

He shut his eyes tightly battling with the demons inside him.

"Let me in Dee, please stop hurting alone." I said hugging him tightly.

"Mom? Dad? Is everything okay?" I heard maya asked.

Adrian broke apart from me.

"This never happened, and I'm still going to punish you for what you did." He said coldly and then he walked out of the house.

Arrrrgh..... I wanted to scream so badly, but I can't break down in front of my kids, I have to be strong for them.

I took a deep breath and answered "Yeah everything is fine baby." I replied with a fake smile on my lips.

"Where did Daddy go to?" She asked.

"Oh, he'll be back, he just have an errand to attend to."

"Okay."

"Did you guys like the things I bought?" I asked.

"Yes." They smiled excitedly. "We love it. Thanks mom." They responded in unison.

Twins telepathy I tell you.

I smiled genuinely. "That's lovely, I'm glad you guys like it."

"Mom, are we still making the spaghetti?" Miles asked.

"Of course baby, we definitely are." I responded cheerfully.

I need something to take my mind off Adrian and cooking will do just that.

"Yay we are making spaghetti." Maya clapped excitedly.

Did I mention that my kids are foodies? Well now you know, they love food like their mother.

"Kids go and wash your hands let's start." I said to them bringing out all the ingredients I would be using to prepare the spaghetti.

"Mom, we are done washing our hands." Miles said.

"Come here." I called placing them on the stools beside me.

I instructed them on what to do and we began cooking. I put water inside the pot and placed it on the fire humming.

"I've never met nobody." I began
"Like you." My kids responded giggling.

I smiled using my spatula as a mic "have friends and I have buddies.."

I held the spatula in front of them and they yelled "it's true."
"But they don't turn my tummy the way you do... I've never met nobody like you."
"You never not on my mind..." I began moving my hips.
"Oh my, oh my." The twins yelled dancing on their seats.
"Your never not by my side..." I held the spatula in front of them.
"Your side, your side."
"I'm never gonna make you cry, oh cry, don't cry..."
"I'll never not be your ride or die al...right....."

We yelled the last part together, doing all the dramatic expressions.

I heard sound of clapping from behind. I turned around horrified.

"I didn't know you got amazing moves." Ben the hulk praised.

"Uncle hulk!!" The twins shouted coming down from their chairs to greet him.

"Hey squirrel. Hey rainbow."

"Hi!!" They greeted.

Ben the hulk calls Miles squirrel and Maya rainbow. I don't know why he calls them that, I told him the names were weird.

He responded by saying Miles gives him the vibes of a squirrel and Maya has this sense of happiness around her. I get Maya part because it's true but I don't get Miles part.

"How long have you been standing there?" I questioned.

"Long enough to see you moving those hips." He smirked.

"Ben!!!" I yelled embarrassed.

"You can't say that in front of the kids."

"Sorry." He apologized raising his hands up in surrender.

"Uncle hulk, guess what." Maya said enthusiastically.

"What?" He said faking excitement.

"We are making spaghetti!!" She yelled.

"Oh wow, another opportunity to taste Vivian amazing food I'm definitely in." He smiled a genuine smile.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Who said you were invited?" I asked placing my hands on my hips.

"I'm not invited?" He asked putting on a sad face.

"Yes, you're not."

"Rainbow, Squirrel. Your mom said I'm not invited to eat with you guys." He complained pouting.

"Mom, can uncle hulk eat with us please?" Miles asked putting on his  best puppy dog face.

I glared at Ben the hulk, he's using this innocent kids to blackmail me.

He gave me a sly wink, smirking.

This....

"Mom." My kids called still staring at me with hopeful eyes.

"Fine." I mumbled grudgingly.

"Yayy.." The twins yelled happily.

"Well, you can go sit at the table and wait for us to be done or you can help us cook, either way it works fine for me."

"I'll love to help you guys cook."

We cooked in silence, with the twins asking random questions at different time interval.

Like, Mom, why does a Baboon has a strong butt?

How the heck I'm I suppose to know that?

Or uncle hulk, why does a giraffe has a long neck?

"Mom, why is a mosquito called mosquito?" Miles asked.

I just stared at him with a puzzled expression on my face.

"I don't know honey."

"Uncle hulk, why do we have short people in the world?" Maya asked placing both her hands on her cheeks, with the cutest expression on her face. I can already see the number of heartbreaks that face will cause.

"Umm, I don't know, maybe it's because of the fact that they lack growth hormones in their bodies." Ben the hulk answered.

"What's growth hor..mone?" She asked struggling to pronounce it.

"Don't worry when you grow up, you'll understand." Ben the hulk stated.

After the twins were done asking their weird random questions we went back to cooking in silence.

Ben the hulk is a great company I must admit, he made me laugh through out. I like his company, he'll make a great friend and husband to some lucky woman.

I miss Adrian though, I wonder where he stormed off to. Do you think maybe I pushed him a little too far?

"A penny for your thoughts." Ben the hulk snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"Nothing just thinking about something."

"Is it about Mr Carmichael?" He asked.

"No, don't worry about it, let's go and eat. The kids are starving." 

We went to the dinning to eat, I served the food and we all dug in.

"Mmm, This spaghetti is just so delicious." Ben the hulk praised smiling softly at me.

I blushed staring downwards.

"I told you mom is an amazing cook. She's the best cook in the whole world." Miles praised.

"Aww. Thank you honey."

We ate in silence, with Ben the hulk occasionally staring at me.

"You have something on your face." He finally said.

"What's that?"

"You have a little sauce at the corner of your mouth. Wait, don't worry let me help you." He picked up a napkin and wipe the corner of my mouth gently.

"Thanks." I blushed.

"What is going on here?" We heard the resounding voice of Adrian.

Oh no!!!

I glanced at him, boy he looks pissed.

He's currently drenched in sweat, it looks like he just got out of the gym. Maybe he went to cool off some steam.

He looks so hot right now with his shirt clinging to his muscles and beads off sweats running down from his face down to his neck and then to his chest.

Vivian, snap out of it.

You're in serious trouble right now, stop thinking about how hot your husband looks.

"Daddy, you're back. We were just having spaghetti. Mommy cooked this delicious spaghetti and we invited uncle hulk to come and..."

"Miles, Maya. Go up to your room now." Adrian commanded cutting Maya off.

"Daddy you say?" Maya asked.

"Upstairs now!!!"

Seeing as their Dad was not in the mood they left quietly with Miles staring at me asking if I'll be alright on my own.

I nodded my head at him.

I think the twins are startled, they have never seen their Dad this mad  before. Heck, they haven't ever seen Adrian angry. so this must be a shock to them.

Well I'm just glad they were done with their meal before all this happened.

"Can someone explain what the heck is going on here?" Adrian asked his face void of any emotion.

"Sir, well I..." I stuttered.

"Vivian I was not referring to you. Ben, can you please explain what you were doing with my wife."

"Sir with all due respect, I just came for a friendly dinner. I was invited by your kids to have dinner with them. And that is what I was doing. I just came to eat because I was hungry."

"I saw you being cozy with my wife, I've seen the looks you give to her, I know you are interested in her." Adrian stated with his arms crossed.

Ben the hulk glanced at me and then spoke. "Sir, I think your wife is attractive, she's such a sweet and amazing woman any man would be lucky to have her. You are very lucky to have her in your life. But I have no interest or feelings in pursuing what is not mine. My mother taught me better." He stated.

Did Ben the hulk just called me attractive?

"So you find my wife attractive?" Adrian asked calmly.

"Yes I do. But I have no feelings for her."

Why can't Ben the hulk not keep his mouth shut.

"You're suspended for a month. Pack your bags and leave my property, you have just 15 minutes to do that." Adrian stated glancing at his watch.

What??

"Sir, you can't do that. Ben the hulk has done nothing wrong." I defended.

"Wow, so you are giving another man a nickname in my house. And you are defending him. I brought him here to protect you when I'm not around not to have dinner with you or even smile at you. This should teach him a lesson, next time he will do his job properly." He glanced at Ben the hulk. "You have 10 minutes to leave, do that before I call the cops."

Ben the hulk took a bow and left.

"That's so unfair sir, how could you do that?" I asked angrily.

"Are you questioning my decision?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I employed him, so I can suspend him whenever I feel like. Watch your tone when talking to me, or you are going to be seriously punished. You have the guts to be having dinner with another man in my house and allowing him to touch you."

"Sir, I did no such thing."

"Quiet!!! You better keep quiet before I lose my cool. Get ready on monday you will be going to church to see the pastor's wife. She requested to see you and you will be going to see her. I don't want anything to tarnish my reputation, so you better behave yourself. The pastor and his wife are very respectable people in the society so you better create a good impression, even though you have created a bad one by running out of their church the other day, you better fix it this time or they will be consequences." Adrian stated his voice not leaving any room for argument.

But you guys know me, my mouth just can't keep quiet.

"But sir, I don't want to go...."

"You are going and that's final. I don't want your opinion on this matter." He stated giving me a cold look.

"Yes sir." I muttered quietly.

Is it too late for me to take up Mia's offer?
