(this chapter was partially hard to write i have so much i wanted to add in but honestly its been years since i started this fanfiction and i would like to see the end Maby i will go back and re write it eventually but i think its time to end this bad boy)

watching the war descend onto Hogwarts was a heavy burden, one that harry suspected but would never have been prepared for, this was because of his direct choices, he shook his head and watched Nero fussing below him, wings shuddering in anticipation.

he could feel the magic in the air and see lights flashing either side of the field a kaleidoscope of colors and he waited, let the dark lord smash against Hogwarts defenses and forces.
when dumbledors "light" side were facing defeat harry heard Neville Longbottom give the signal, it was time for harry to play his part and keep Voldemort busy.
he felt his familiars jump into the frey all except ludo who sat as Draco's bedside the shadow cat loved Draco more then it loved him.

Nero jolted forwards grey wings spread wide, harry suspected it was a grand sight for anyone waiting around for a hero to save them, harry snorted those people should perish no one would save you but yourself.
harry knew Voldemort's love of theatrics would get the better of him and as harry suspected the monster flew into the air cackling, yelling Harrys name and getting it wrong.

"HARRY POTTER! COME TO DIE!"
harry laughed at the stupidity of it all.

"its harry Malfoy you git im a married man"

harry winked maneuvering Nero to move further out of earshot of the battle and towards a clearing.
"i shall give my condolences to your widow then, cute pony dose it do anything or just fly?"

harry jumped off nero now that he got the bastard away from the battle leaving his troops leaderless, harry himself wasn't worried about his people they had Neville they would be fine.
the steed took off getting out of the way, harry flinched as his mighty tiger was hit with a killing curse.
"afraid potty?"
"i shall make you pay for any life lost on my side, and it will be painful, and you will suffer what what you did to draco!"
voldemort snorted.
"i didnt do anything to that boy he was my right hands son"
"LIAR!"

harry growled deeply, he felt a void left behind and all the magic stored in his familiar returned to him.
they began a flurry of curses at one another, neither giving.

Neville was emotionless, shut off from his feelings as he led their people into combat, he watched Harrys tiger fall it had dived into a changed werewolf to spare one of the younger students and tore the wolf throat out unfortunately its jaw was locked around her neck in turn and claws raked the great cat.
he looked over and saw Luna throw fiend fire at the back of their army from above, he could see the blood in her hair and on her face, unfortunately he didnt have time to go and see to her, he was fighting his own battle.


Godrick stood from the empty classroom floor, paint splattered all around him detailing the battle in lifelike detail, the last peace was Hogwarts with a gigantic Nandu looming above it breathing purple poison.
Godrick went to meet his fate with a light heart.

Daphnie and Susan where back-to-back hurling spells and shielding both women wounded but not down around them bodies where scattered many missing limbs, familiars jumping from hidden places to attack before disappearing again.
"hey Daphnie if we die just know i think we would be good friends"

the other woman smiled looking back at Susan.

"if we survive i think we should make it happen"


the light screamed praise of harry for swooping in to save them 
no care was given for how sad and horrible it all was, the cheering didnt last long when they realised that they where useing lethal spells, to brain washed they screamed at the people protecting them, and were promptly ignored.

godrick walked through the chaos no wand  in hand, he watched emotionless as a giant ran at him, he looked to the left expecting harrys wolf before it arrived, mauling the giant.
when it stopped the wold approached and godrick held up his hand.
"thank you harry, and i promise this sacrifice will be worth it"

he watched harrys wolf turn to face the new attackers before he turned and ran hearing a squeal of pain then silence as the wolf passed on sending magic to harry.

Harrys attack strengthened for a moment though his head felt like it was going to explode, his bird falling taking a shot for Luna, only for his wolf to be killed protecting Godrick...Godrick? what was he doing out of the castle?
he couldnt ponder long as his boost faded.
Voldemort was talking harry could see it, but he couldn't hear past the blood pumping in his ears, he didnt realize that even with all the training Voldemort was more experienced and older so he knew more spells, harry was powerful but outclassed.
the monster threw the spell away and threw his hand up.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
it almost seemed to take forever and yet seconds at the same time.
godrick appeared beside him stepping Infront of the curse.
"a life for a life, freely given"
the red haired male said, it was the only thing harry could hear as the spell hit his twin and the backlash of a soul being ripped from him and into the other boy.
voldemort howled stumbling to his feet, harry was stunned looking down at the boy, face peaceful as white magic trickled into harry, sacrificial magic, he didnt register the first greenlight hit him, at the second he tore his eyes from the pale boy at his feet, he realized when the third avada kedavera hit him that his brother gave his life to protect harry and it was premeditated.
he felt a tear slip down his cheek, he didnt like the boy but he didnt want him dead.
harry raised his wand and fired at spell at the panicked man.
he held the spell for a second before harrys magic overpowered him, the shockwave was immense on the battle field all motion and sound stopped.
no sound could be heard for a second before a great taring of wind into Voldemort's body as the death eaters bent over the mark bleeding out of them like black blood, excruciatingly painful.
suddenly it was silent again before the dark lords army began to scatter like roaches.

harry cradled his twin as he called nero, the stallion flew them back, had Godrick always been so small and delicate? harry didnt think so.
arriving he gently laid the other boy down his troops gathered around him.

"harry?"
Neville looked worried as harry suddenly gave a full body twitch eyes not seeing the battle field instead he could see draco before ludo turned hissing aggressively standing between the unconcious teen and the intruders, Dumbledore and the potters, harry fed power into the small cat who yowled again becoming bigger making the wizards and witch take a step back, mistake.
seeing its chance the cat threw all but a tiny part of itself at them delivering them before harry himself leaving a small weak kitten cuddled up with draco.

"what where you doing in dracos room?!"

he yelled last nerv almost gone.
"harry my boy we had to look into the missing student"

harry frowned how had he found draco? he was at their village.

that was when harry saw tied up in the old mans beard a very familiar vile of purple nandu breath.

"it wasnt the dark lord who did this, it was you who attacked draco and his men....but then you made it look like voldemort had done it, he genuinely didnt know anything."

james looked ready to defend the man but harrys eyes snapped to him and lilly.

"and you where going to help him finish the job"
they had the decency to look ashamed.
harry lost it, his tight control over his powers and his emotions.
his people scattered towards the forest as harry transformed into the looming nandu and attacked the three, it was like crushing ants to a fully grown nandu, he screamed and raged climbing the castle ready to destroy it.
it was when he ripped the roof off of one of the towers he stopped there painted on the walls and floors Godrick's paintings, but what really cought his eye was a massive canvas of harry and draco married again but with a grand wedding, there in the crowd was godrick, he painted himself into the wedding even though he would never be able to go even if harry got his vows renewed, it was so well done everyone inside moved, but godrick looked at him and waved, a true smile and harry knew this was his portrait for his death and he wanted to be happy for and with them, harry slowly placed the tower roof down and climbed up into the room shrinking as he went.
harry opened the bag Godrick had given him.
the first thing he found was the scean of the boys death he had known it would happen that day.
the picture frame was elaborate and it had gold writing a lion and a nandu on opposite sides.
"a life for a life freely given"

the second picture was harry and draco a stunning couple portrait.
there was a note attached.
"in life and in death you will always be together"
harry sobbed sitting on the floor only raising his wand to cast protection magic on the whole room.
thats where his friends found him and rushed to him him close.
"he was a wonderful seer, its too bad that he wasnt allowed to see until the end"

harry looked up at luna, she had a gentle smile.
"dont you love the feel of it harry, he saw you happy even at the end"
luna turned to look at him.

"i think he is right you know, draco will be fine and everything will work out, i mean he is probably waiting for you already"
harry wanted desperately to mourn forever but looking at her and then looking around harry nodded.
"lets all go home and meet up with our loved ones, you go first i cant leave this here."
Severus stopped leaning on the wall.

"everyone needs a rest....and harry im proud of you"
harrys throat constricted feeling more tears come.

they all filed out to bring the troops home.
harry once again transformed and literally ripped the tower from the school and apparated away.
he placed it in his backyard and once changed back put a spell to protect it from weather, he was exhausted but he needed draco.

harry ran as fast as he could bursting through the door into his bedroom.
draco was sitting up a kitten in his arms looking at harry.

the young man threw himself at the blond.
"i thought i would never see you again"
harry sobbed.

"Dunderhead i will always come back for you, i woke when Dumbledore died"
"draco we did it"
the blond nuzzled and kissed harry.
"im glad, welcome home love."




WOW we did it, its been a long time but i would like to thank everyone who stuck through it with me, im glad the story is over but also sad the ending has been a long time coming and i hope it was one you enjoyed, thank you so much for reading this. <3
