Today is Valentine... 

' Not if I care '

To begin with... I REALLY LOVE VALENTINE'S DAY for some reason but disgust when seeing some couples. I slumped my head on the desk, waiting that someone would give me some chocolates but there wasn't. There was none on my lockers nor my desk. I groaned and messed with my hair. 

" What's the problem? " Kirumi asked. 

" Nothing. " I answered shortly. Kirumi laughed a little and gave me a box of chocolate. My eyes sparkled and gladly accepted it. 

" Thank you! " I exclaimed. 

" Happy Valentine's day, I should get going, I'll be giving the other student some. " Kirumi said showing the bag that she is holding and waved at me. I nodded and waved back at her. I keep her box of chocolates in my bag.  Then Maki showed up, giving me some bag marshmallows. 

" Marshmallows!! You're a lifesaver, Maki!! " I exclaimed jumping to her and hugged her. 

" E-Eek, g-get off me. (y-y/n). " Maki stuttering and smiling nervously. I pulled away from her and accept it. I giggled and kept the bag of marshmallows in my bag. Maki smiled and pinched my cheeks. 

" Happy Valentine's day, Accept it as a gift even as friends. I don't like you as a lover. " Maki said.

" I know that...y'know cuz you like Kai- " Maki covered my mouth, making me stop my sentence. 

" Shhh, he's coming. " Maki said then ran away from the area. I looked at her running figure and laughed a little. Then Ryoma and Rantaro approached me. 

" Yo, bro whatcha doing? " I asked Rantaro. 

" Hellooooo, Happy valentine's day. Here some of your favorite drinks, for my favorite sis. "  Rantaro said, slamming some box of (f/d) in my desk.  

" You know me too much, Rantaro. " I said sighing. Rantaro laughed and patted my head. 

" Hey don't forget me! " Ryoma said. I gave him a high-five and he gave me some cookies that are shaped like stars. 

" Bro this is cool. " I praised him, looking at the cookies. 

" Happy Valentine's day, It's for you, my sis. " Ryoma said. 

" Wait, when did she begin to be your sister? " Rantaro asked.

" There are some things you didn't need to know. " Ryoma answered.

The two began arguing and made me laugh.  The others also came to me giving me some sweets. Now I feel guilty not giving them something...but they said it was just fine.

The only thing I didn't accept was... flowers. I mentally cried because before Valentine's they even asked me if what is my favorite flower but... I didn't accept anything. 

I looked at my bag filled with sweets and closed it. I wore it and carried the box of (f/d). 

Why? because the class is already ended and Kokichi didn't even show his face to me, saying on the chat that he was busy helping the teachers with some things. 

I frowned and started walking away. When I was walking out the gate of the school, suddenly someone tugged my hand making me looked at the person. I saw Kokichi looking away holding out a bouquet of light purple roses and some lavenders inserted between each of the roses.  My eyes widened and I could feel my heart pounding. 

 ' Was it that I'm nervous? or something? '

" Here take it already. " Kokichi said holding my other free hand and put the bouquet of flowers on it, closing it making me look like I'm holding it. 

" Are you really just gonna stare at it? No thank you or anything? " Kokichi questioned, pouting. I smiled at him.

" Thank you, happy valentine's day, lavanderhead. " I said hugging the bouquet of flowers. 

" You're welcome!! Happy valentine's day (n/n)-chan. Thank you for being my friend. " Kokichi smiled softly. I let him hold the flowers for a sec and pick something in my bag. 

" Here, it's for you... " I said, giving him a small box. 

As he opened it, he smiled looking at the photos of me and him and the other students. 

" I know it's not the best but, hope you like it. " I said.

" Nah, this is the best, I love it. " Kokichi said, his eyes sparkling. 

We began walking to our homes, talking and telling each other stories.

A valentine's day is not only for couples... it's for everyone. 

Then, I saw myself seating on the bench with my other self, drinking some hot chocolate. 

" Someone died. You missed the morning once again, you even missed the body discovery announcement. " My other self said, sipping on her drink.

" What? Why? Wh- " I stopped myself, not finding the right words to say. 

' I should just... accept it. ' 

" Wake up, they are at the gym. She/he might not important to me even though I'm you but I know they are important to you."  She said smiling softly and threw a bouquet of flowers at me, making me woke up.

[ 🎲 ]

My eyes shot open and I began fixing myself and run to the gym, slamming the doors open. And saw a pool of blood was on an aquarium. I blinked a multiple-times, walking slowly to them. I stopped myself from crying and put on a poker face. 

They have come to think to break the aquarium, using Keebo. The blood of water began scattering on the floor, they began cleaning. I stared at Kirumi, which means... Ryoma's the one who died. 

I began helping them, I didn't even say a word and just continue helping them. Like everything, everyone began doing their things. I'm just there still smelling the scent of blood. 

The blood still on my mind even though we already cleaned everything. Monokuma and the Monokubs appeared saying some things. Giving as the monokuma file. And we began investigating.

What's the point of investigating, if I already know who is the killer?

I sighed and closed my eyes for a minute and began investigating. 

Truth Bullets

Monokuma File 2 (モノクマファイル２)
The victim is the Ultimate Tennis Pro, Ryoma Hoshi. The victim's body was discovered in the gym. The cause of death was drowning. Afterward, the victim's body was consumed by piranhas until only the bones remained...

Scratched Handcuffs (傷付いた手錠)
Locked handcuffs that were in the water tank for the Underwater Escape Act. Since it was made out of stainless steel, it was difficult to leave any marks, but small scratches were still visible.

Square Glass Pane (四角いガラス板)
A square glass pane was at the bottom of the piranha tank where Ryoma's body had appeared. The other bits of glass were shattered, but this pane remained perfectly square.

Crammed Piranhas (増えたピラニア)
The piranhas that ate Ryoma. Before the magic show, Angie said it looked like there were more piranhas compared to when she prepared for the show the night before.

Marked Window Frame (窓枠の傷)
The window frame of the top window in the gym. It had distinct abrasions as if it was scratched by something.

Piranha Tank (ピラニアの水槽)
The water tank that had the piranhas inside. It was kept in the ultimate magician's lab and was carried over by Kaito, Keebo, Himiko, and Angie. During the magic show, it was hung over the water escape tank, using the control panel for the stage lights. Only the front side was made out of glass. The other sides were made out of wood. It looked like there was no lid from the start.

Gonta's Account (ゴン太の証言)
During the magic show and when the timer hit twenty seconds, Gonta went up on top of the stage. No one was in the tank during that time. Gonta didn't notice Ryoma inside the tank until after the piranhas were released.

Insect Meet and Greet (昆虫でなごもう会)

The night before, (y/n), Shuichi and some of the others were forced to stay in the Ultimate Entomologist's lab by Gonta, who was tricked by Kokichi. Himiko and Angie were brought in five minutes to 9 p.m. Kokichi left the lab at 9 p.m. Shuichi, (y/n), and the others were forced to participate in the "Insect Meet and Greet" until after 11 p.m.

Wet Staircase (濡れた階段)

Behind the stairs that led up to the stage, there was a puddle. The stairs themselves were not wet in certain places. It doesn't seem like the stairs could have gotten wet when the water tank broke.

Long Sturdy Rope (長くて頑丈そうなロープ)
The rope was around 65 feet in length and behind the stage. It was originally found in the wing of the stage. Angie did not know why it was behind the stage.

Inner Tube in the Pool (プールに浮かぶ浮き輪)
A rubber inner tube was left in the pool. There was a rope tied to the handle. The Monokubs were not the ones who left the inner tube there.

Black Piece of Fabric (黒い小さな布切れ)
A piece of fabric that was floating in the pool. At first glance, it looked like trash.

Maki Alone (１人だった春川)
Maki was standing guard in front of her lab last night. She stayed in her dorm room only during nighttime.

Witnessing Ryoma (星を目撃した情報)
The last person who saw Ryoma was Gonta. It was around 8 p.m. last night. Miu also saw Ryoma 30 minutes before that.

Scratched Sink (傷付いたシンク)
The sink in the Ultimate Tennis Pro's lab. It looked large enough to fill a good amount of water into it. There were small scratches on it as if it was scraped by something.

Tennis Net Cable (テニスネットのワイヤー)
Found on the ground in the Ultimate Tennis Pro's lab. The tennis net cable was properly set up when Shuichi & (y/n) came to the lab the first time around. But the wire had been taken out later. The wire was around 50 feet in length.

Kokichi's Account (王馬の証言)
Immediately after Kokichi left the Ultimate Entomologist's lab at 9 p.m. last night, he was caught by Kirumi in the entrance hall. He stayed with her until 10 p.m. After, he went to the dorms and returned to the Ultimate Entomologist's lab at 11 p.m. He saw the figure of a girl in lingerie wandering around the courtyard a few times.

Water Tank Trick (水槽の仕掛け)
A hatch near the top opens the water escape tank.

Alibis For Yesterday (昨日のみんなのアリバイ)
(Y/N), Shuichi, Keebo, Kiyo, Tsumugi, and Tenko were forced to gather in the Ultimate Entomologist's lab from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for the Insect Meet and Greet. At five minutes to 9 p.m., Himiko and Angie joined as well. Kokichi was in the Ultimate Entomologist's lab until 9 p.m. He was with Kirumi from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. By 11 p.m., he returned to the lab. Kirumi was in the gym until a little before 9 p.m. with Himiko and Angie. From 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., she was with Kokichi. She was in the gym alone for around five minutes. Miu was seen multiple times last night wandering around the courtyard in her lingerie.

Pool Rules (プールの校則)
Entering the pool is prohibited during nighttime.

[ 🎲 ]

Then suddenly Shuichi approached me. 

" Ah, (y/n)-chan, do you have a minute? " Shuichi asked. 

" Yeah. " I answered.

" Did you have a weird dream? Like the one with Rantaro? " Shuichi asked. 

I thought for a while if I should or should not tell him the truth.

" I did dream about something... but this time someone just tells me that someone's gonna die. " I answered the sentence was full of lies but it is still the truth. I didn't tell him the two names and I didn't also tell him that myself told me that someone's gonna die. Shuichi nodded. 

(Y/N)'s Account ( Y/N のアカウント) has been added to the truth bullet. 

" Are you fine? You wouldn't faint like the first one, right? " Shuichi asked nervously. I nodded, smiling a little. 

Neither do I know why I fainted on the first-class trial. 

Then after that the class-trial announcement shown on the monitor. We began making our way to the shrine of judgment in the courtyard. 

" It's your first time to be on a class trial, (y/n)-chan? Right? " Shuichi asked.

" Yeah. " I answered shortly as I followed them from behind. But little did they know, I already know how this trial works. 

We began walking to the secret door, and the elevator was moving to bring us to our destination. A despairful destination... The class trial has begun. 

As it began, the first suspected one was Himiko. The class trial continuously happened. As I was just there looking at the space and didn't speak. 

As the class trial was nearing the end, my breath hitched as I nervously looked at Kirumi that Shuichi pointed that she was blackened. 

He was right, his talent for being a detective is not a waste. We began voting her as the blackened. I didn't want to vote her as the killer but I don't have a choice. 

Her trial began, it was cruel yet how could I accept it? As it was finished I hold tightly at the strap of my bag and began biting my gums inside of my mouth still showing my poker face. 

" Ghhh... Kirumi! " Gonta exclaimed a sad tone was heard in his voice.

" I...I can't take this anymore... Even Kirumi was killed so brutally... WAAAHHHH!!! I DON'T WANNA DO THIS ANYMOOORE!!! " Kokichi exclaimed, bursting into tears.

So do I. 

" A-Am I... gonna end up like that too...? " Himiko asked tearing up.

No, you won't.

" I-I won't let that happen, Himiko! I'll protect you, no matter what! I'll protect you no matter what... " Tenko answered.

Sure, I believe in you.

" But I don't wanna do this anymore either...Please... let's just stop this killing game. I don't care if we stay trapped here forever. " Tenko continued. 

I just want to be back to the old good times...

" Oh? Isn't that what Atua said? All desire, even your desire to escape this pace, can corrupt you beyond redemption. " Angie said.

I couldn't talk, because I could feel that I will begin to cry again, I don't want that... crying in front of others? Huh, that's what only weak people do. But what could I do? I'm also just a soft-hearted, weak girl that can't do anything. 

" It's Monokuma who is corrupt. He is the one who distributed the motive videos. " Keebo said, angry. 

" Those videos were more dangerous that we thought. To have driven Kirumi that far... " Korekiyo said.

" What worries me is, as long as we're trapped here, we don't know what's true or false. " Maki said biting her thumb. 

But I do know, which is true nor false.

" That must be why Kirumi did not want to show the videos. She thought that if everyone felt the same murderous rage that she did... the killing game would be pure chaos. She... wanted to stop it. " Shuichi explained nervously.

" If that's the case, then we really shouldn't show our videos to each other! " Kokichi exclaimed.

" That was our consensus from the beginning. Not including you, of course. " Keebo said.

" I had assumed Kokichi would try to show us our videos to... get under our skin. But that did not come to pass. What, I wonder, were his intentions? " Korekiyo said.

Don't talk like that to Kokichi!

" Huh? I'd never do anything like that. I'm still thinking about what Kirumi said. " Kokichi said, annoyed.

" What Kirumi said...? " Shuichi asked. 

" ' Everything you saw is true, though I only remembered it upon watching the video. ' What she said earlier, correct? " Shuichi repeated.

" Huh? What about it? " Miu asked. 

" She said she remembered..and it didn't sound like a lie, either. " Shuichi asked. 

" Maybe the video had the properties of a Flashback Light if it made her remember. " Angie said.

No, I think that is impossible. 

As we returned to the courtroom, the area is already surrounded by darkness.

" What's wrong, Gonta? Why're you staring up at the sky? " Tsumugi asked.

As she said that, I also stared at the sky. The stars were sparkling yet... It looks lifeless. 

" It's just...even when all this bad stuff happens, stars are always pretty. But stars here different. Not the same ones Gonta used to. " Gonta explained. 

" Different? Do you mean...the position of the stars? " Shuichi asked.

" Yeah...Gonta looking, but no can find star he remembers. But why? Were we taken somewhere far away? " Gonta asked. 

I understand what he meant, the stars look different. I like the stars too much so I know what is different or not.

" Hey, let's all head back already. I'm wiped out. " Kaito said. 

" Ah, yeah..." Shuichi said.

As I was about to walk out of the area... 

" Oh, hold on. I have to tell you guys something. " Kokichi said. 

" What now? As I said, I'm wiped out. " Kaito said, scratching his head.

" Now now, it won't take that long, so just listen to what I have to say. " Kokichi said in a serious voice with a scary face. I gulp in bother and feel like somethings gonna happen.

" Well then? What is it that you have to say? " Korekiyo asked.

" Everyone seems to be treating me like some kinda compulsive liar except for (n/n)-chan... but that's ridiculous! There's a way worse liar than me in our group! " Kokichi exclaimed.

Is he talking about...

My sight began to fix to Maki.

" A liar worse than you? " Shuichi asked.

"  I'm talking about Maki. " Kokichi said in a scary face again.

" What do you mean, Maki's a liar? " Kaito asked. 

" Maki admitted it during the class trial, remember? Ryoma wanted her to show him his motive video cuz he was looking for a reason to live. But that wasn't the whole story... Ryoma was blackmailing you, wasn't he? Maki. " Kokichi asked.

" B-Blackmail? " Keebo asked.

" Ryoma just so happened to discover Maki's true identity. So he used that to blackmail her. I bet he said something like...' If you don't show me my motive video, I'll tell everyone what you really are.' That's why Maki didn't want us to know she met Ryoma. She wanted to keep her true identity a secret! That's why she kept quiet until the last minute! " Kokichi explained.

What... she really was?

" Wh-Why you...what shit are you making up now? Maki's true identity? What- "

" Nee-heehee, I've known Maki's true identity the whole time. " Kokichi said cutting Kaito's sentence.

Then why didn't he tell me?

After that, I didn't see what happened... It happened too fast. Maki was choking Kokichi. My sight became dark, my bangs were hiding my eyes. I didn't feel myself picking the gun in my bag and pointed it towards Maki.

" Bang. " I murmured pulling the trigger but I intend to not aim at her face but some of her hair was cut by the bullet. As I lift up my face, they saw my eyes were dull and I pointed the gun at Maki's head.

" Let him go, Maki Harukawa. " I said in a cold voice, glaring at her with my dull eyes. 

" Y'Y'know...th-this is an interesting t-turn of events...B-But, would you really...k-kill me in front of everyone...? A-Also n-not in front of my assistant you may d-die first. " Kokichi said trying to speak.

" H-Hey, Maki! What the hell is going on? " Kaito asked. 

" (y-y/n)-chan why are you pointing a gun to Maki? " Shuichi asked. I looked at him and smiled. But the smile looks like a creepy sadist due to my dull eyes. 

" Y-Yeah..you can probably..snap my neck like a twig right now...but that's..not your style..y-you would rather..kill from shadows...right...Miss Ultimate Assassin? " Kokichi asked.

" I'll repeat it again, Maki Harukawa. Could you please fucking let him go? " I said in a stern and serious voice, approaching them still pointing the gun on her head. 

She let him go, letting him fall on the floor. She glared at my dull eyes but I just look at her not interested and approached Kokichi by keeping my gun in my bag again. Kokichi looked at my eyes.

" Aw, it's dull. " Kokichi said holding my cheeks while staring at my eyes. I removed his hands and help him stood up. 

After calming for a while, we all go back to our respective dorms. While me being carried by Kokichi on a piggyback ride. And we are already in the dorms, going inside our own rooms, giving our goodnights. While me putting my thing on the table and feel myself collapse on the bed. A despairful yet hopeful day just finished.
