I open my wardrobe again and sat in front of it.
I have to go shopping. After sitting there for about 5 mins I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in" I say still looking at my wardrobe.
"I'm so sorry for that bebe I didn't know you would walk in on that it's just that he came here to give me a surprise and he pulled me into a kissing and one thing led to another.." she continued but I held my hand up to stop her.
"TMI, vani" I say and she laughs.
"So what are you wearing?" she asks me.
"I don't know that's what I came to ask you." I whine.
"Ok let me pick something out for you." She says making her way to my wardrobe.
"Make sure it's comfy Avani." Say sitting back on my bed and picking my phone up to check the time and putting it back down.
"Here you go" she says
I looked towards her and she's holding a pink dress in her hand with a big smile on her face.
"Vani, that's too small" I whine.
"Oh come on Jess, I know you won't be drinking. You're going to a party after almost a year don't you wanna meet some hot guys? I can introduce you to some.." she says and I stop her.
"Ok, I'll wear the dress, on one condition that you won't make me talk to people I don't wanna talk to." I say laughing
She held her hand out "Deal" she laughs and shakes my hand.
"Ok so Jaden and Anthony are taking us" she says while walking out of my room.
"Wait, how are we coming back?" I ask her.
"Oh we are staying over. You'll have a room all to yourself so don't worry someone would drop us tomorrow."
"But Vani" I whine.
"Please Bebe I want this party to be the best party ever." She makes a baby face
"Ugh the things I do for you" I make a face.
She gives me a kiss on the cheek and walks out of the room.
I turn to the dress she's hung out for me and smile. This was the dress I wore to my first date with Shane. My heart ached at the name but my lips gave out a little smile. Shane was my first and only boyfriend. We met in 9th grande grade and were friends for a year before he asked me out. I always liked him. We went to watch a movie and it was magical. We kissed and he asked me to be his girlfriend 2 months later. We dated for a year but broke up 6 months back because he had to go to college abroad. We still snap and we're good friends but a part of me still wishes that things could've ended differently between us.
I hoped out of my sweats and put the dress on. I went to my mirror taking my makeup bag along with me. All I know what to do in makeup is to put eyeliner. That's it. On the other hand Vani is like a professional. But I choose not to disturb her while she is getting ready. It's her day after all.
I applied a stroke of eyeliner and a dark pink lipstick on my lips. I filled my eyebrows and put mascara.
I choose to black wear heals as they are not too high.
I go in front of my full length mirror to get the final view. I take a few photos and decided to post them on Instagram. I have around 400k followers and they are all because of how much Avani like to post me on her page.
I walk out of my room and see Jaden clicking photos of Avani and Anthony I laugh stand beside him.
