Part 5

At the same time, Poppy, Viva and Peppy sat in Poppy's pod and played board games. Surprisingly, Poppy was losing. SHE WAS LOSING BADLY. She had no points, which was strange because she had always been good at it.

She stared at the clock. She should be meeting Branch soon. What should she do? How should she leave? What would Branch do in such a situation? She should have planned for it though.

"Poppy? Poppy. POPPY!" Viva's loud shout snapped her out of her trance "What? What happend?" asked a confused Poppy.

"Now it's your move, Poppy" said Peppy.

"Poppy, are you all right? You look like... well, I don't know.... sad?" asked Viva. She felt it was because of her. Suddenly Poppy wasn't so good at the game they were playing anymore. Maybe she should give her a head start? "Is it because of me?" asked Viva.

"No, no, no, no, of course not" she quickly replied, she didn't want Viva to feel that way because it was definitely not because of her... Well, maybe a little "I just, I feel bad. I didn't get enough sleep, you know, Trollstopia is a big responsibility" she laughed lightly, because all in all, Trollstopia had been doing just fine without her help for some time. After which she pretended to yawn "Maybe I'll take a short nap, don't bother and make yourself at home. I'll come back to you in an hour" After which Poppy disappeared behind the bedroom door.

She had one hour. subtract from it the time to reach Branch and then return from there.... she would be left with about 40 minutes of time spent with Branch. Great!

She jumped out of the bedroom window and grabbed the nearest tree branch with her hair.
