Back to Hogwarts.

SILENA'S POV:

We went to Hogwarts, after we got off the train, by the horseless carriages which was quite surprising, I've always wondered but unfortunately, I was always so hungry at that time that I didn't really give them that much thought.

I entered the Great Hall with Alicia and Angelina, who I had just seen. I waved at them. They waved back and without so much as a little hello or how have you been, Angelina launched into the worst possible conversation!

"Now, Silena! You remember, I told you about George?!" Angelina smiled. Merlin, I needed food before I had to bear with this!

"Listen, Ange! I know you're only 'liking' George to get back at Lee. Look, Lee made a mistake, okay? He just wanted to get your attention and besides all he did was hug her! You've hugged loads of guys!" I told her, taking her back to her senses as somewhere during dinner yesterday, I realised she and Lee were nearly a thing so where did George come from?

"I don't like Lee!" She folded her arms together, in defence, refusing the fact that I was right. She's so stubborn! But I can't really complain, can I?

"You do! He's been asking you out for years! Please just say yes, once! Lee's an amazing guy!" I insisted, really wanting them to be together and even though I wasn't as close to Lee as Fred and George were, I knew they would be cute together and Lee would treat her good.

"I guess you're right." Angelina sighed, giving up, knowing I could get really persistent. She probably still liked George but was just avoiding me.

"Now, help me! I like Lucas Scott." Alicia told me. What the hell? Why is she telling me? That's more of the secrets those two have! I guess you could call me a loner, I have friends and all but not that one particular friend. Like Angelina and Alicia let me tag along but usually I'm just by myself and my brothers. Okay, that's embarrassing!! 80% of the people I talk to are my brothers and the other 20% are their friends.

"The Ravenclaw?" I asked, wanting to confirm who she was talking about because even though I might not be like a love expert or something, I was still pretty interested. Hey, it's the first and probably last time hearing this so I better enjoy all of this!

Please don't think I'm a gossip queen but everyone is kind of interested in this type of news. I know you are too!

"Yeah." She nodded, confirming it was that blonde guy who was kind of cute but he had a squint. How on earth do I know that anyway?

Maybe I was bored during Potions and he was sitting somewhere near me. And I do notice cute guys.

"Oh Merlin! Why are you asking me? I'm no love expert! And I just saw Mary Ann! Bye guys!" I waved and made my way quickly to the Ravenclaw table, desperately trying to avoid this.

"Wait! I'm coming with you! Mary Ann is friends with Lucas." She called back.

"You don't even like Mary." I pointed out. Why did she want to go? And even if they were friends, it doesn't really mean that they would be sitting together right now.

"I can pretend." Alicia suggested, though her tone said she was kidding. I hope she was. I really do.

"Oh, Merlin! Alicia! No!" What was happening here?

I ran as fast as I could towards Mary Ann.

"Hey, Mary!" I said, quite out of breath. I really needed to improve my stamina.

"Oh, hello." She said in her timid voice. She tucked her ebony coloured hair behind her year. I noticed her grey eyes weren't sparkling like they always do. I Wonder what's wrong?

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"Lucas asked me out!" She told me.

OH MERLIN!!!!!

ALICIA WOULD KILL HER!
"Oh my God!" I said, how come guys always ask her out. A single hasn't ever asked me out and I'm FIFTEEN!

"Stop! I said I needed time because of O.W.Ls." She said, in a concerned voice.

"Oh Circe! Why didn't you just say you like Fred?" I asked, having noticed last year that whenever I would talk about the rest of my brothers she would just laugh but when I would talk about Fred, she would start blushing and stuttering. Even I can tell that much!

"You know?!" She trembled.

"It was kind of obvious." I inclined my head as I thought about her behaviour.

"Well, I didn't say I like Fred because well, I didn't want him to know! But he already does!" She lowered her head.

"How?" I asked.

"You probably told him," She shrugged.

"No, I never told him." I told her.

"You didn't?" She seemed surprised.

"No!" I said, in a defiant voice. It would be awkward if I told Fred.

"Oh, thanks." She smiled.

I smiled back.

"Anyway, enough about guys! Do you know about the dementor?" I asked, desperately wanting to change the subject. It's kind of awkward when your friend likes your brother.

"Yes, they frightened me a lot. They were here for Sirius Black, you know. Trying to find him." She told me and it seemed as if she was almost as glad as I was to change the subject.

I was about to reply when something knocked me down or better yet, someone.

"Sorry!" I looked up and NO WAY!!!

It was CEDRIC FREAKING DIGGORY!!!!

I took his outstretched hand and helped myself back to my feet as gracefully as I possibly could.

"Why do we keep meeting like this?" He chuckled as he probably recognised me.

Oh my sweet Circe! His smile! It was so adorab..... no um, stupid! Yeah, stupid smile! I wasn't one of the million other girls who would die over Diggory! No way! I'm a Weasley.

I looked over and found Mary Ann was no where to be found!

Oh great!
Talk about ditching!

"Um, yeah! Well, I better go." I stuttered, stupidly. Why couldn't I act normal like I did around my brothers?

"Well, um, would you, er maybe like to, um join me at the Hufflepuff table?" He asked, kind of shyly, I guess. No, maybe that's the way he talks. Why would he be shy in front of me.

I looked over and I couldn't find Fred, George and Lee anywhere. And Angelina and Alicia were, I don't know, either gossiping or talking about Quiddich. I really didn't want to be a part of that. Mostly I would just nod during that.

Harry, Ron and Hermione were no where to be found and Marry Ann was with the Ravenclaw people, who were way too smart for me so I guess I didn't really have an option.

"Sure." I said it, before I could change my mind and I guess I regretted it almost instantly and if I knew what would happen in the future, I would have acted dumb in front of Maryann, a thousand times over.

We sat at the Hufflepuff table which was quite nice and a good change from the loud and rowdy Gryffindor table. Don't get me wrong, I love rowdiness but I require a change sometimes.

"So, um do you play Quiddich?" He asked, trying to make some conversation at least, with the weird girl, he'd randomly invited. Even some of his friends looked surprised. Of course they would, I was freckly and gingery, slightly though but still! And there he was, the cutest guy in school!

"Oh, Merlin! No!" I shook my head.

He smiled. People do that around me very often.

"Why not? You come from a family of amazing Quiddich players." He admitted, grudgingly, I guess. He was after all a HufflePuff and Gryffindors did beat their arse quite often.

"Yeah, you do get your arse beaten by them quite often, don't you?" I asked before I could stop myself.

But thankfully, he laughed and suddenly the awkwardness in the air was gone.

Phew!

"No we don't!" He said defensively!

"Uh, yes you do!" I laughed.

"Coming back to the question I asked you, why don't you play?" He asked again.

"Well, I'm rather afraid of heights, you see." I said, meekly.

"But you're Gryffindor" he stated, looking at me weirdly.

"And I'm human too,"

"So Gryffindors are scared too from things like heights," he smirked.

"Well, we are human like the rest of you, you don't see horns sprouting out from our heads, do you?" I asked while chuckling a bit.

"It's okay to be afraid. I was too but to be honest but after mounting a broom the first time, I felt unstoppable. It was like my broom was, and I just kept flying. I don't know how to explain but don't you like Quiddich?" He asked, surprised.

"I love Quiddich!" I exclaimed. It was true, I loved seeing it and would constantly wish I was playing it too.

"Well, then you should try out!" He suggested.

"Well, Katie Bell did resign last year, so I don't really know." I shrugged.

"Go for it, Selena." He encouraged but oh wait!

Oh my Merlin!!!!!!! He didn't even know my name! I was Silena! It was pronounced as 'Sai-a-leena'. Wow!

Oh my!

"Um, its Silena." I said, with a glare.

He blushed and it seemed very obvious with his pale, vampire-like skin.

"Sorry, my bad! I always thought it was Selena because of the spelling." He said, trying to make up. Where had he even seen my spelling? He was a year ahead of me.

"It's quite alright." I giggled. OH MY MERLIN?!

HOW COULD I GIGGLE?!

It was girly!

I'm a tomboy!

Ugh! Curse you, Diggory!

But it wasn't a giggle, more like a chuckle. Yes!

"So, um did you know the Quiddich cup is next summer!" I muttered, changing the subject.

I noticed his eyes started sparkling. Quiddich was really something he loved!

"Yeah, I really want to go!" He said, enthusiastically.

"Yeah, I hope England wins!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah! But do you know, Viktor Krum, the Bulgarian seeker hasn't even finished school yet?!" Oh my God!

"Yes, oh my Merlin! That's just incredible." I exclaimed.

"Yeah, I plan on playing after Hogwarts." He told me.

"Really?" I asked, though not as if surprised.

"Well, yeah, it's kind of my dream to play for England one day! I'm not the one to join the ministry and sit behind a desk, y'know." He said, putting some stray hair behind.

"Yeah, I get that." I nodded, my dad had, had a fairly boring work life.

"So, what are you planning to do?" He asked me.

"I dunno.. probably um... I really have no idea!" I stuttered, helplessly, a bit taken aback at the question. Why would he even ask me?

He chuckled.

"Okay," He replied.

"Not my fault, I'm dumb and I don't have a lot of ambition so ." I raised my hands, in mocking defeat.

"Um, Silena?" He said, pronouncing my name, correctly. Thank God!

"Yeah?" I asked.

He nodded over to the Gryffindor table and OH MY MERLIN!!!!!!

Okay, I use that way too much but still!!!!

All my brothers, even Percy. And forget Percy, even Lee (who took me as a sister) were glaring at Cedric and I. If looks could kill, we would have probably joined the Fat Friar by now. Even Harry had raised his eyebrows, in surprise and mild anger. Probably not anger though, Harry isn't like that. Hermione was looking at me with a knowing look. Angelina and Alicia were giggling. At the Ravenclaw table, Mary Ann grinned at me.

"Um, that's just their expression, the family expression! They aren't glaring." I stated, meekly. It didn't help that my voice had a tremble to it.

"Right." He nodded, though not as if convinced.

We talked a bit more about classes and I got to notice how he was nice, very nice and modest and caring and I dunno quite decent. I didn't really expect that.

When it was the end of the feast, he stuck out his hand, I shook it.

"Nice meeting you, Silena." He grinned.

I smiled.

"You too, Cedric." I told him.

"See you around!" He waved.

"Bye." I nodded.

I walked over to the Gryffindor Common Room, after showing the first years the way because yes, unfortunately, I'm prefect. Why, Dumbledore? Why?

"WHAT WAS THAT?" Fred, George, Percy, Lee, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Angelina and Alicia yelled.

The girls had happy expressions and the boys were angry. Well, not Harry, I guess he was curious.

"Relax, just friends! Acquaintances, I'd say." I tried to convince them. No wait, I tried to tell them the truth. It wasn't anything more, right?

"We don't believe you!" My brothers yelled, in unison. Weird! Only Fred and George did that, usually.

"Whatever! C'mon girls! We need a girls night!" I exclaimed, just getting the idea to avoid the guys.

I dragged the three of them to our dorm. Hermione didn't get along with Lavendar or Parvati who were best friends and Hermione was tired of their constant gossiping but the same happened here, well, not me so much but I guess Angelina and Alicia didn't annoy her so much and so she joined us.

"So," Hermione said after closing the door;

"What was up?" She asked me in a demanding voice.

I told them everything that happened.

"Oh, we thought.." they trailed off.

I rolled my eyes.

Well, then Alicia and Angelina started gossiping about Lee and Lucas and George. I guess Angelina is keeping her options open.

Hermione and I shook our heads and starting talking about random stuff and her timeturner that she told no one, except me! Whew!

And at last, at about 1 am, we all dozed off. Well, I'll barely be able to get up tomorrow but oh well.

It was fun! We should totally do it more often!
