Plot: Sideswipe gets to pick his partner

I strode through the large halls of the base in Kentucky. I worked her for only a year now. Just turned eighteen and it made me the youngest of my group.

I was called in for a debriefing. As I walked in, I saw someone looking at me, he was standing next a gorgeous Silver Corvette stingray 2009.

I ignored it and looked at my group, listening to what my chief had to say. After the meeting, I walked off but halted when someone tapped on my shoulder.

"Hi..." He chirped, little bit nervous. I offered a weak smile back. "Uhm... hi," I awkwardly said. "You must be, (y/n)" he began. I gave a small nod "yeah, how do you know?" I asked.

He gave a mischievous smirk. "I know everything," he grinned. "Gonna tell me your name?" I asked. "Oh sorry! Sideswipe is the name! In the Autobot frontliner and combat instructor,"

"Ah, right... explains the expensive car," I said. He smirked a little "if you wanna have ride... I'm all yours," he said. I hummed "well... I would love too, but I can't, I'm sorry," I said.

He raised a brow and huffed "come on!" He pushed. "Why do you work on this base anyways? Washington DC is so much more fun," he scoffed. "I wanted to work at N.E.S.T, and I worked there for like a day, but they transferred me here," I said.

"Look... I can get you to Washington! I mean... if I say something they'll do it anyways!" He stated. I raised a brow "you see... I'm amazing! I fight for them and in return they give me what I want,"

"Why would you want me?"

"I need a partner, Ironhide told me I was able to pick a partner... and you're the lucky one," he stated. "Your partner?" I mocked. He gave a small nod in return "I'm not a dog you can just pick," I snorted.

He rolled his eyes "that's not what I said! I mean that... you're mine now," he cooed. "Go pack your stuff!" He said, pushing me.

"Sideswipe! I met you five minutes ago! I'm not going anywhere," I snorted, crossing my arms. He gave me a look "we have to leave! Our plane leaves in about two hours," he said. "I can't just leave," I blurted out.

"Of course you can!" He stated. I opened my mouth to protest but he silenced me. "Nah uh!" He said, covering my mouth. "Go get your stuff," he insisted again.

"Look... you seem like a really nice guy, but I can't just leave," I stated. He sighed and crossed his muscular arms over his well build chest.

"I picked you! And... that means that you're coming with me!" He stated. "What about my team!?"
"I'm sure they'll do just fine without ya! I mean... they don't really seem to be interested in you," he stated.

"And I am..." he added on with a huff.

Glanced at him and sighed "you're luckily you have me..." he whispered and winked at me. I blinked a couple of times in surprise by his arrogance. "I'm only eighteen years old! You should get a more experienced soldier! I'm only a bother to you," I sighed.

"I can decide for myself If you're a bother or not!" He snorted, walking a circle around me. "Go get your stuff," he whispered. "Or I will..." he added.

I sighed and walked off, walking over to my room. I wasn't sure what to do, I couldn't just leave! I mean.... he looked like a really nice guy, yet a bit arrogant, but by seeing the age of his holoform, I doubted he was able to just take me.

He looked like a nineteen year old teen. I sat on my bed, thinking about Sideswipe who not much later strode in and gave me a look.

"We have to hurry,"

He just opened my closet and threw some things on my bed. I was speechless, was he seriously throwing my clothes on my bed? He grabbed the suitcase from my closet and just stuffed everything inside.

I jumped out of the way when he strode over to the bathroom, taking everything he could and stuffed it in the suitcase as well.

"Sideswipe~"

He silenced me as and continued with stuffing everything in my black suitcase, before he forcefully closed it. "Come on!" He grabbed my wrist and dragged me with him to his car.

"Sideswipe seriously! I can't~"

Again he silenced me as he threw the suitcase in his trunk and pushed me inside his alt-mode. "You haven't even explained to me why you need a partner!" I whined as he drove off. He tightened the seatbelt.

"Because... I'm lonely," he said, glancing at me. I gave him a glare "fine! Jazz has a mech partner, Dino has Que, and who have I? No one... so I started complaining and complaining until Ironhide told me I could get a partner! Now a few weeks ago... I learned about you and decided to see you myself, so here I am... taking you to be my partner!" He stated.

"You're crazy!"

"Call it crazy... but Ironhide approved it," he snorted. I sighed softly and looked out of the window for a split second. Sideswipe put on his sunglasses and I had to admit, he was pretty handsome.

"Couldn't you explain that to me during the introduction?" I asked, giving him a look. "No time! We are in kinda a hurry remember!" He said.

"Right..." I sulked.

When we reached the huge plane, he drove in and removed his seatbelt. "You can have some sleep if you want!" He said as he jawed. "I've been up all night and day," he sulked as he made himself comfortable.

A soft silvery blanket fizzled in and he wrapped it around him. "We're on our way for a couple of hours, so don't bother taking some rest. You are going to need it" he sleepily muttered. He soon enough was out.

He was the strangest person I have ever met in my entire life. He didn't seem like bad person, just naive and arrogant, but in a cute way I guess. But he just changed my life...
