Mixtape Editing, Recording, And Memories

I arrived to Big Hit with this outfit on.

When I got to the front desk, the receptionist did confuse me for a student. I smiled, then pulled out my work ID and driver's license. She gasped, "Oh, Eunji-ssi! I thought you were a student trying to break in."

I chuckled, "How many tried?"

She groaned, "Only 5 since I've been here."

I bowed, then went to Yoongi's studio. I knocked on the door. He said, "Unless you're Eunji-ah, step away from the door."

I laughed, "Exactly how many times have you turned away the others?"

He opened the door, "Every day since debut."

He allowed me to walk in and offered me a seat. I said, "So, is this where the real work begins?"

He smiled at me, "But of course."

He pulled out his notebook. I smiled, "And you couldn't ask an actual producer that works here to look through this?"

"You won't censor me too much as you put it," Yoongi replied.

I laughed and started reading through the first one. I brought a purple pen with me. He looked at me smiling, "No red pen?"

I looked at him, "I'm not a teacher, Yoongi. I'm merely giving suggestions. You can always change things later, hence the purple pen."

I made a few marks and corrected some characters, but I left him some room to breathe. He watched me work. When I finished, I handed it back to him. He read through it, then asked, "Does your eomma still teach Korean Literature?"

I laughed, "Yes. Despite being born and raised in Daegu, one would think she lived in Seoul her whole life."

He smiled with what was presented, "This won't confuse anyone."

Then I saw him play a melody on the keyboard. I asked, "What is that?"

"The chorus melody to So Far Away," he answered.

I asked, "Is that the first song I read when you first told me about this?"

He smiled, "Yes it is."

I looked at him, "You really want me to record it, do you?"

He gave me a pleading look, "It's just until I can contact a female vocalist who would be willing to do it with me."

I chuckled, "If you tell anyone about me, I will shave you bald."

He smiled, then we started on how the singing line should sound. Once I got it down, we began to record.

(A/N: I wish I could find a rougher recording, but we all know South Korea won't let that happen.)

I sighed, "It's been a while since we done this together."

He nodded, then I said, "I missed you too, by the way, when you left. I knew it was because you wanted to pursue this, but letters and the occasional present can only do so much."

He squeezed my shoulder, "I really should've told you where I was. Then maybe I wouldn't have been surprised when you first arrived here."

I laughed, "I personally enjoyed surprising you, since you always made a habit out of surprising me."

I looked at more lyrics, then I noticed one that was untitled. I asked, "Why write a song about you at your most arrogant and not title it?"

(A/N: She's referring to Agust D.)

He looked at what I was referring to and replied, "I haven't found an appropriate title for it yet. It needs to manifest."

I leaned in on my chair and crossed my right leg over my leg, "When did you become so articulate?"

"Since B-Free decided to insult us," he responded.

I sighed, "Minho-oppa told me about that. He told me it was for the best I wasn't there. How did he know I would've lost all sense of professionalism?"

Yoongi chuckled at that, "He knew you would've tried to defend me."

I smiled, "Am I that obvious?"

"That's how I've always known. Anyone who slights anyone you know and love, you're usually the first one to pounce," Yoongi told me.

I laughed, "Well, I've known you ever since we were babies. Who am I if I don't do something?"

After more lyric reading and Yoongi recording some rough tracks, I went out to get some food with of course Yoongi giving me some money and telling me what he wanted. I came back with these dishes.

(A/N: The top dish is Yoongi's, the bottom dish is Eunji's.)

I also had bottles of water ready. Yoongi looks at my bowl, "Why do you have shrimp?"

I smiled, "You know I love shrimp. I haven't had it in a while."

"So, if I was to try to get some, would you kill me?" Yoongi asked.

I shook my head, "If you ask nicely, I'll feed some to you."

He pouted at me, then asked, "May I please have some of your dish?"

I smiled, then scooped up some up my dish with my chopsticks and moved it toward Yoongi's mouth. After he ate the bite, he smiled, "That's great. You always had great taste in food."

I smiled, "I always cook with my eomma."

When we finished eating, Yoongi said, "I appreciate you doing this with me, Eunji-ah."

I smiled, "Anything to see you succeed, Yoongi."

I picked up both empty dishes to throw away, then I tripped. Yoongi caught me before I could fall. With his hands around my waist and back, I just wanted them to stay there, but I had to keep my hormones in check when I stood up straighter. Yoongi laughed, "One would think you had better coordination."

"Says the guy who couldn't dance when he first starting training," I replied, dryly.

He moved his hands, taking the warmth of them with him. Then we heard a knock on the door. Yoongi asked, "Who is it?"

"It's Namjoon," he answered.

Yoongi opened the door, "Yeah?"

"Just wanted to run some tracks by you. Oh, hey, Noona," Namjoon said.

I smiled, "Hello, Namjoon. If you need to discuss music, I'll be on my way."

Yoongi grinned, "Are you sure you don't want to stick around?"

I shook my head, "I'm sure I would just be distracting. See you two later."

Namjoon smiled, "Goodbye, Noona."

Before I walked out the door, Namjoon winked at me. Apart from Mi Ho-unni and Minho-oppa, he's the only one who knows of my feelings toward Yoongi. I went toward the break area to look for ideas for Taehyung's hair since he cut his bang by mistake. After a few minutes, I went back home.

And that's the chapter! I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Here's the music video to Danger!
