49- Dark Night, Pt. 2

Whoop, double update!

Here you go (although there isn't any Thea in this chapter, so you're gonna have to wait on that)

Note: there is one scene in this chapter that is slightly mature, but it doesn't go overboard. But just a warning.

Chapter Forty-Nine

The palace is no longer crumbling.

Now, its marble is shining in the moonlight, and dozens of figures mingle about in the courtyards. All are emaciated, and most with red or crimson eyes, with beautiful faces and sharp teeth.

High up in the palace, in a throne room, there sits a pedestal. Upon that pedestal is the Pearl, shining crimson in the light of the moon, an everlasting orb, an object clearly of power.

Beside the pedestal, on a silver throne sits a man- if he could be considered a man- who wears long silver robes and drums his fingers impatiently on the chair. He has a long, pointed face, and large amber eyes surrounded by charcoal black, and high cheekbones and full lips. His hair is long and blond and straight, falling over his shoulders and down his chest as he holds himself imperiously.

Mansar blinks his eyes slowly as two other figures walk up towards the throne. One is a tall, and young, wearing black, with an angelic, feline face, long blond hair, and amber eyes that match his father's.

The other is a young Velah as well, with flowing skirts, bright white hair, and black eyes surrounded by a ring of charcoal. Her body is curvy as it leans against Videl's shoulders.

"Father, Leeviah wishes for permission to...wander down into the dungeons," Videl carries out his request with a lazy drawl, as if already expecting the acquisition.

"Certainly, certainly," says Mansar, with a passive wave of his hand.

Leeviah smirks, inclines her head slightly towards Mansar, envelops her lips around Videl's briefly, and then walks out of the throne room. Halfway out, she turns around to wink at Videl, and Videl smirks in turn.

"As for you, my son," says Mansar, and Videl turns back to the Velah emperor, "Any news on our little runaways?"

"Unfortunately none, my lord," says Videl in his velvet voice, "But I have no fear that they will be tracked down soon enough. I am going out with Leeviah after she finishes her...snack. Perhaps our endeavors will prove to be more helpful than what has transpired. Thusfar."

Mansar nods, "Very well. But our power without the young one's blood will only last for an uncertain period of time. Make sure that it is before then that we...procure her."

Videl's smile is slow and evil. "Certainly."

*

Leeviah meanders down the long path towards the dungeons. She smiles her way past the one guard and then enters the darkened dungeon. The aisle is narrow, as are the iron cells on either side.

She walks down to one of the tiny cells on the left, where a figure is sitting dejectedly in the corner.

Clang.

He looks up with a start as she enters the cell.

She smiles, revealing her pointed teeth, "So young. But pretty eyes, anyway. You'll do for a light snack."

The boy stands, looking at her apprehensively, but cannot move much from the chains around his wrists, although he rattles them loudly in fear.

"Don't worry," says the Velah, reaching forward to stroke his face with her long-fingered nail. This action would drive most human men mad, but the boy with the green eyes only curls his lips, although Leeviah scarcely notices, "This won't hurt...much." She opens her mouth, right above his neck and says, "Don't scre-"

"Hey, vamp girl, pick on someone in your own league."

Leeviah snaps her mouth closed at the voice, and then turns. She peers into the adjacent cell to see a man with black hair tied to a chair. He has green eyes too, and they're glittering in her direction. He smirks, "C'mon, you're not going to resist me, are you, cutie?"

Leeviah glances back at the boy, who is breathing hard, petrified, and then steps out of the cell, closing it without a backwards glance.

"No, no, Kyle, no," rasps the boy, grabbing onto the bars as Leeviah enters Kyle's cell.

Kyle doesn't pay attention to the boy: his eyes are on Leeviah, who has slunk into the cell with a rather hungry look in her eyes, "That's it, that's it, pretty thing."

"And look at this," she whispers, "You're already sitting."

He looks up at her, wriggling his eyebrows at her, "Only for the best of the bloodsuckers."

Leeviah snarls, "Don't call me that again!"
Kyle rolls his eyes, gesturing lazily with his hands, "Eh, I think I will, Bloody Mary."

"You just want it good, don't you?"

"Oh wouldn't that be nice," smirks Kyle.

Suddenly, Leeviah tears open the front of her skirt, revealing fishnet tights and high black boots, which Kyle raises his eyebrows at. Leeviah stalks forward, rips Kyle's shirt open, to toned abs, then gets his lap and kisses him, hard. He kisses her in return, muttering as he glances at her flowy shirt, "Do you have to keep that on?"

She chuckles a witch-like chuckle, "Don't play games with me, pretty boy. I'm taken. And you're just trying to distract me."

"Is it working?"

"For the time being," she smiles wickedly, circling her hips against his- Kyle closes his eyes and takes a raspy breath, and her smile widens, "Now don't scream."

From the adjacent cell, Jack gags.

Leeviah keeps moving her hips, faster and faster as she continues to kiss Kyle more and more hungrily. With an impatient yelp, she slices the ropes, seemingly with just her nails, and Kyle's  hands move up and down her, teasing the fabric. They are both breathing hard, and when Kyle nips her neck, she smiles.

"You're...delightful..." she gasps.

"And you're hot," growls Kyle, attaching his lips to her throat.

Her eyes grow wilder and wilder, and more and more hungry.

But when Leeviah sinks her fangs into Kyle's neck a few minutes later, he squeezes his eyes shut, shouting in pain. Jack looks on helplessly as Leeviah drains more and more of Kyle's blood- it dribbles down his chest.

"Kyle!" exclaims Jack, yanking on the iron bars, "Stop it you witch, stop it!"

But to Leeviah, Jack is invisible. She ignores him and continues to suck from Kyle's neck.

Once she's through, Leeviah wipes her lips and then climbs off of the agonized Kyle. She bends down and whispers in Kyle's ears, "I'll be back for...more..."

"Oh goodie," Kyle says, attempting another smirk, but not really succeeding, "I look...forward to it."

As soon as Leeviah has vanished from the dungeon, Jack exclaims, "Kyle, Kyle, are you okay?"

"I've...been better." Kyle gasps. He blinks, evidently trying to steady himself, "Please don't tell me you saw the entire thing. That wasn't exactly...PG..."

"I saw it all," says Jack wryly.

"Fantastic," mutters Kyle, "Barney's going to... kill me."

"Don't worry, I was disgusted," says Jack.

"She's...really hot for a vampire..." comments Kyle.

But Jack sees right through Kyle's attempts to shake the issue off, "Stop lying, you bloody hero."

Kyle raises his eyebrows, "I'm...lying?"

"Shut it. Why'd you do that, you prick?"

"Do...what?" asks Kyle, who is feeling more and more weak.

"I couldn't taken her. I'm not a kid."

"What...happens when...Thea comes around....and hears some hot goth girl's been..." Kyle takes a raspy breath, "...Been kissing her man?"

Jack leans against the stone walls of the dungeon, "Thea doesn't think of me like that."

"Well," says Kyle, "I'm not...sure if you think of her...like that either."

"I don't know. I'm still figuring it out."

"You two are...young...give it time..." Kyle mutters.

"You didn't answer my question," states Jack, who is privately worrying over Kyle's state of emaciation, "Why'd you do that for me?"

Kyle rolls his eyes, "Why do I need to...answer...that...question?"

"Because you acted like an idiot."

"Don't think that's what...she...thought," mutters Kyle, grabbing his throbbing head. "I prefer to keep you as pure as...possible...anyway."

"Why did you do that, Kyle?"

Jack looks desperate.

"Because..." grunts Kyle painfully, "You're my...little buddy, Jack."

But then Kyle's eyes roll and he collapses off of the chair and onto the ground, blood still leaking, and Jack still urgently calling his name.
