🌊HERO POV🌊

Ashton walks back into the room with a guy right by his side wearing a suit. He has pitch black hair the same as mine and blue eyes just like me it didn't take me long to notice the facial feature that I and the man share. "who is he?" Val asks I know the answer but a part of me didn't want to say or believe it "Augustine this them Valentina and..." Ashton says before the guy interprets him "Hero and Valentina." Augustine says looking at me and Val making everyone look at us especially me for finding out my name is Hero. The whole room was silent Augustine just kept looking at us like he was in shock and awe all at the same time but you couldn't tell by his face you had you look into his eyes to notice the emotion. It was something I have gotten good with over the years being able to figure out people "it's nice to finally get to meet yall both..." Augustine says he was very intimidating not going to lie I mean most of the people here are but out of all them, he was the scariest. I and Val didn't say anything I just stood there and wasn't sure what to do or say. When I was young I used to wonder about our father and if I would ever get a chance to meet him what would I say or do but after our mum passed I stop wondering or caring about him. Val was the first to speak and it wasn't to him it was to Emilio "who is he?" Val whispered to Emilio making him laugh a little "you can't tell?" he whispered looking at Val and she shook her head "this is our father..." Emilio says.  

"oh..." Val says looking at our father while I just stood looking at Val and the ground "you really do look like him." Val says looking at me and Augustine. He didn't say anything I think he was waiting on us to say something but I wasn't going to "it's nice to meet you too now I know who you are. I thought you were just another uncle sorry about that..." Val says going on making some of them laugh a little. Val probably would have kept rambling if I didn't grab her hand making her look at me she does that a lot when she is nervous she will just ramble. "I understand I'm just happy to finally meet yall two," he says and for some reason I got angry. He says how he finally get to us but where was he when we need him?  When we lose the only person we had and we're left alone where was he? I know the answer to those questions and I wish I didn't. I didn't say anything just try to keep looking forward "yeah same." Val says trying to give her best small smile she had. She starts walking forward reaching her hand out while I just stood there looking to see what would happen. Augustine reaches his hand out to my Val and they shake hands "le assomigle (you look like her.)" he says in Italian and I could already feel the question Val wants to ask me and to be honest I wish I also knew Italian right now.  Val looks at me and gave me a nod confusing me "si (yes.)" she says with a smile making me look at the ground trying to hide my smile while everyone else laughs "she doesn't know Italian does she?" Emilio whispered I just shook my head it still surprised me how she passed Spanish.

"non pensavo avresti saputo 'Italiano (I didn't think yall would know Italian)" Augustine says, looking between Val and me. Val look back at me confused "what does that mean?" she whisper "it's Italian." I whisper rolling my eyes "oh...well say something in Spanish then." she whispered with a small smile I just shook my head "you haven't said anything. You should say something to him." she whispers but I didn't want to say anything to him. I didn't have anything to say to him I just keep looking down at the ground wanting to disappear from here "Hero!" Val says a little louder I was still looking at the ground but I knew everyone in the damn room was looking at us. Val grabs my hand shaking it trying to get some response from me "Nosotros no hablamos malito Italiano (we don't speak freaking Italian)" I say bitter and loud looking up staring at him. Shocking everyone to hear my outburst but it didn't shock him he just kept his same look. I turn to look back at Val "there you happy?" I whisper to her I didn't mean for it to come out harsh but it did "yeah..." she says with a smile. A smile I know too well she gives when she is disappointed or mad but she held it in not wanting to cause more but she will most likely bring it up later. She turns her attention back to Augustine "Hero speaks Spanish and I'm learning it in school. Either of us knows Italian tho." Val explain while he just nod his head understanding.

Soon after that everyone went back to their own conservation while I sat quiet or talked to Emilio. Slow tho everyone start leaving until it was just the four of us Augustine, Emilio, me, and my Val "have yall eaten dinner yet?" Augustine says looking at us "no Mrs. Abrams said it should be ready soon but that was a little bit go." Emilio says confusing me and Val "who that?" I ask "she is one of the maids/cooks." Augustine says getting up and walking out of the room "why?" Val asks looking at Emilio "we have maids to help keep the house nice like the guestroom and bathroom and something when we don't have time for dinner they make us some." Emilio says then Augustine walk back in "dinner ready." he says we all went to the dining room it was huge. It had this huge chandelier and this long wood table enough to sit at least 20 or 30 people. 

Augustine sat at the head of the table while Emilio sat on one side and me and Val on the other said of him. The food came it was turkey with a couple of sides and a salad "yall ain't vegetarian or some shit?" Augustine says looking at me and Val "dad." Emilio says looking at Augustine "what you have to ask these things now." Augustine says "no we aren't vegetarian. Val is not a huge fan of meat but she is not a vegan." I say eat some of the food "really?" Emilio asks "yeah. I will eat meat I just prefer not to eat meat if I don't have to but I'll eat whatever." she says grabbing the salad. Augustine just nod his head like he was making note of something "if you don't mind me asking why?" Emilio asks "she watch a documentary when we were little and it scares the shit out of her." I say earning a slap on my head"ow!" I say looking at her "that's not true. I just don't like the idea of animals dying." she says while I roll my eyes. The real reason she doesn't like meat is that when we were little my mom left her alone because she had to do some work in the other room. She told Val not to change the channel but she didn't listen and change the channel it was a documentary talking about meat and the process it creeped her out. Then she changed it again and showed a horror movie she was scarred for the rest of the month. 

After that we ate dinner in silence it was awkward. I think everyone wants to say something but wasn't sure how until Emilio decide to  break the silence "so where are yall from?" he asks "um..." Val says unsure of what to say looking down at her plate "we were in Texas." I say "when we were little tho we live in New York with our mom." Val says Emilio just nod his head while Augustine he didn't say anything just kept eating looking at his food. I wonder if he knows. What was his relationship with my mum? Did he care about her? Did he love her? Or did my mum mean nothing to him? Was it just an accident? How much did Madison and Andrew tell him? Did he know everything or just pieces? The answer to those questions scares me and there are very few things I get scared of after everything that has happened.

New York. I don't like to think about New York because in New York we were happy for five years but in the end, we didn't stay happy it was a nightmare. When I was little I want to go back to New York but realize there was nothing good in New York the only thing there is pain. "um tomorrow yall going shopping." Augustine says trying to change the subject "really?" Val says getting excited she loves shopping "yes yall and some of Emilio's friends." Augustine says "you know to most of them your their uncle before they were my friends." Emilio says making Augustine smile a little "I don't understand." Val says confused "my friends are basically all our uncle and aunt's kids." Emilio says laughing a little "oh..." Val says "yall all go to the same school. Yall are starting school on Monday so it be good for yall to know them" Augustine says looking at us "is it a private school? Are their outfits? Or the ugly one? Please tell me it's the second one." she says making us yall laugh. It felt good to laugh it like a relief "I wouldn't say it's a private school it's just very pretentious." Augustine says "and there no uniform." Emilio says smiling "oh ok." she says looking down disappointed a little I know deep down inside she wants the school to have uniforms.

 Soon later we were done eating dinner Augustine decide to show us our room we first get to Val's room it was big. The walls were light pink and in the middle of the room was queen size bed with white sheets and a window. "I love it." she yells excitedly "there's nothing in here besides a bed." Emilio looked at my well our sister crazy "yeah but it has character I already see it right Hero." she says looking with a smile I can see her mind already working up ideas "yeah you're going to make the room look even more amazing." I say with a smile I didn't want to ruin her happiness and right now she was happy and that's all I want "I'm glad you like it. When yall out tomorrow you can get whatever you want." Augustine says "really?" she asks looking at him he just nods his head "thank you!" she says.

Once I know Val was ok in her room they show me mine it was about the same size as Val's room but the wall were dark blue and it also had a balcony. Both mine and Val had a closet and our own private bathroom. There was a bed in the middle just like Val and my stuff that I brought was there laying on the bed "it's nice. Thank you." I say it was just me and Augustine but his phone starts to ring "I got to take this..." he says walking away leaving me alone. I start unpacking it didn't take me long to be done since I didn't have much and then I found the bag I was looking for I open it up and all the money was still there. I have been saving up since our mum die originally it was just for anything Val or I need but once I understood the people we were living with I started saving so we could run away from whatever hellhole we were sucked in. We almost had enough but now we are here and I don't know what to expect so I just zip up the bag and put it under the bed. I don't know these people and I sure as hell don't trust them now they haven't given me any reason not to trust them but they also haven't given me a reason to trust them.

"Hero!" Val says running into my room and chasing after Emilio while he was trying to hide behind me "what the heck is going on?" I ask looking at both of them "she went crazy on me." Emilio says "he has never watched WALL·E." she says "that's what this is all about?" I ask a little amused but at the same looking them like idiots "yes! It's just a movie!" he says and that's where he messes up. I shook my head knowing what was coming "it's not just a movie! It was of the best cartoon movie!" she says "it's one of her favorite cartoon movies. So yes it is just a movie but for her, it isn't." I say "oh well see you can't get mad at me for not knowing it's probably a good movie..." he says before he and I are getting hit by a pillow in the head "OW!" we both yell looking at Val "Emilio do you got a laptop?" she asks "yeah." he says looking down with his hand on his head "where at?" she asks "on my desk." he says "thanks." she says walking out the door. 

"you better get used to that." I say laying on my bed "she is so small but damn that hurt it." he says I just nod my head along with him. Val comes running back in with his laptop sitting on my bed "what you're doing?" I ask looking at her "we're going to watch WALL·E." she says trying to find the movie "right now?" he asks sitting down will I start moving over so they could sit even tho it was my bed "yes right now! You went your whole life without watching it you can wait another minute." she says "Val it already nine." I say looking at my phone "and?" she says looking at me giving me that like I dare you to say something "nothing." I say shaking my head I didn't feel like getting my head smack for like the six-time today so I said nothing"it gonna be a long night." I whisper to Emilio "yes it is." he says nodding his head. Val start the movie and we all got comfortable and enjoy the movie. Most of the time Emilio and Val were watching halfway through I just start writing in my journal paying attention to the conversation going on every now and then but it was nice I was happy because Val was. She just smiled and laughing after the movie was over they put on another but Val fell asleep and so does Emilio.

 I felt tired my eyes were growing heavy but I heard footsteps "how are they?" a voice asks "far stare zitto. Non ho bisogno che ti sentano (Shut up. I don't need them to hear you.)" Augustine says "colpa mia (my bad)" the voice says I hear them stop walking stopping right at my bedroom doorway. "aw they're so cute." the voice says I was too tired to look up to see who it was or what they look like "you sound like Levi and the girls." Augustine says with a small laugh I heard a gasp "I do not sound them." the voice says "how is the girl Samantha?" Augustine says why does that name sound so familiar? "she doing alright  she'll be doing better once she knows that they are ok." the voice says "they're doing ok I supposed. Ashton said they were doing alright with everyone." Augustine says "and the boy Hero?" the voice asks making Augustine laugh "he have taken after the family from what I got." Augustine says "Samantha said he does has a temper even when he was little. Victoria was trying to help him keep it under control." the voice says and that when my heart stop no one has said my mum's name in years neither I nor Val has said it.

 It was quiet for a moment I thought they left "I'm sorry I shouldn't brought..." the voice says "shut the fuck up." Augustine says louder than before "I don't want to hear it to night not right now." Augustine says letting out a sigh "you know you're going to have to tell them right?" the voice says tell us what? "Victoria wouldn't have wanted it." Augustine says what wouldn't our mum want? "yeah she wouldn't want it but look what happen she ran and it caught up with her." the voice says "we don't know for sure." Augustine says "you believe what they said?" the voice says "fuck no." Augustine says with a scoff "see she had secrets and no doubt they would have caught up to her." the voice says I had so many questions that were running through my head but I didn't get to ask or know because I was falling asleep "her secret went with her so in the end whatever fucking happen or what she saw no one will know because she gone and so is her secret..." Augustine says right before everything went dark...
