"IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU." Kreese held his hand out for a handshake, but Johnny slapped it away. Kreese chuckled. "Still got that hot temper, huh? But I like that. I like that. I bet that's why your student is now the champion. You've trained him well. Just like I trained you."

Johnny went to punch him, but Kreese blocked his punch, grabbed him, and threw him onto the mat. "You forgot. I taught you everything you know." He chuckled.

"Not everything." Johnny said before he kicked Kreese in the face, knocking the cigar out of his mouth and into the trash can.

Kreese only held his face and chuckled again. "Not bad, Mr. Lawrence. Not bad."

Johnny charged for him, but Kreese pushed him into the shelfs where his All Valley trophies were. Johnny went to punch him again, but he dodged it. Right after the punch, he went to backhand him, but he blocked it. Kreese went to punch him in the face, but Johnny ducked and punched him in the back.

They kept punching and kicking each other, and they kept blocking each other's hits. Kreese ended up kicking johnny in the face, then kicking him in the back, making him back up against the mirror, smashing it. "Look...I don't want to fight. I just wanna talk."

"About what? How you taught me to fight dirty? How you broke my second-place trophy? How you tried to kill me?" Johnny asked.

"I never tried to kill you." Kreese replied. Johnny got up and tackled him to the ground. He punched him in the face, but kreese moved out of the way so Johnny's fist hit the mat. The cigar that landed in the trash can was now sparking and going into flames.

Both of them grunted as they continued fighting. Johnny ended up putting Kreese in a chokehold, giving him a taste of his own medicine. "Go to hell you son of aโ€”" He looked into his reflection in a broken piece of glass from the mirror.

"How does second place feel now, huh? " Kreese asked Johnny, 16 at the time as he broke his second-place trophy in half. "Now who's the loser?"

Kreese grabbed Johnny and put him in a chokehold. "Hey! Come on!" One of Johnny's best friends and a member of Cobra Kai, Bobby tried to grab Kreese to get him to let go of Johnny, but he elbowed him in the rib, making him let go and grab his rib in pain.

"Hey! Let him go!" His best friend, Jimmy yelled.

"Come on, he can't breathe!" His other best friend, Tommy exclaimed.

"Mind your business!" Kreese responded.

"You're gonna kill him!" Tommy exclaimed again.

Johnny threw Kreese onto the floor. "Showing mercy to an old man. That's very honorable. And stupid." He then kicked Johnny's leg, making him fall to the ground. Then, he elbowed him in the chest. Then the fire alarm rang because of the small fire in the trash can.

"SO YOU MIGHT BE wondering what a team does after they win the championship. "The answer? Victory nachos!" Aisha said as she recorded herself and the team for her Instagram. They cheered and clinked their drinks together.

"It was supposed to be a round of drinks, but the waitress was not feeling Hawk's fake ID."

"Hey, don't talk about that. My parents follow you." Hawk said to her.

Aisha turned back to the camera. "Sorry Mr. and Mrs. Moskowitz. Anyways, until next time, no mercy, bitches." She said and stopped recording.

"I gotta say, it's nice to be at a victory party." Demetri said.

"Yeah, except you had nothing to do with the victory." Hawk swiped his nacho and ate it.

"Well, then I consider it a belated party for the coding competition we won at computer camp. remember?" Demetri asked Hawk. Then, he started singing the Binary Brothers theme song. "Demetri and Eli. Binary Brothers." The girls laughed, but Hawk stayed silent.

"Hey. Cool it with the nerd shit, huh?" Hawk whispered to Demetri.

"Hey, where's Miguel? His wings are getting cold." Moon asked. They looked over to see Miguel sitting at a different table, on his phone, not looking too happy. Maria, Hawk, and Aisha walked over to him.

"El Serpiente, there you are." Hawk said to him.

"This is how you celebrate the dojo winning a first-place trophy?" Aisha asked as they sat down with him.

"She blocked me." Miguel said sadly.

"So, what happens when you get blocked? You counterpunch. Except maybe don't actually hit her this time." Hawk laughed. Maria punched his arm and Aisha gave him a look.

"What, too soon?" He asked.

"You think?" Maria asked back.

He then sighed and turned back to Miguel. "Look, all I'm saying is don't give up."

"It's no use. I blew any shot I had with her." Miguel said sadly.

"Just give Sam some time. She'll come around." Aisha said to him.

"Or she won't. You're the champ now. You can get any chick in the valley you want. You're like Drake. Enjoy it." He chuckled and walked away.

"I'm not sure I wanna be Drake." Miguel said to them.

"Don't worry, you're not." Aisha said. Maria nodded her head in agreement.

JOHNNY WALKED INTO THE diner where Kreese said to meet him. He looked around and saw him waiting at a booth. Johnny walked over and sat down.

"Thanks for coming." Kreese greeted.

"Let's make this fast." Johnny replied.

The waitress walked over to them and asked, "You know what you want?"

"I'm not hungry." Johnny answered, knowing this wouldn't take long.

"How's the Corned Beef Hash?" Kreese asked.

"It's fine." She answered.

"I'll have it well done. And bring me a cup of Sanka. Red-hot. Just like you, dollface." He flirted.

"Right." She replied uncomfortably and walked away.

"Mm. Reminds me of a girl I knew in Panama. Spent some time down there in '89, Helping the Delta boys get that son of a bitch Noriega."

"What the hell do you want?" Johnny asked.

He sighed. "Are you familiar with brumation?" He asked. Johnny shook his head 'no'. "In the winter, some animals bury themselves in a hole and sleep there for months."

"It's called hibernation."

"No. That's for warm-blooded creatures. For the cold-blooded like snakes, it's brumation. The snake buries himself in a hole. The only difference is...the snake doesn't sleep. He stays awake. All winter, waiting for the right moment to emerge. And that moment is now." Kreese explained.

"Oh, is it?" Johnny asked.

He chuckled. "Kid...I've been all over the world. After Cobra Kai shut down, I knew I had to keep fighting to stay alive. So, I re-enlisted. I ran strikes in Desert Storm. I trained SEALS in Afghanistan. All off the books. Buried, waiting. But when I climbed out of my hole, the world wasn't the same. Our society has gotten weak. Kids today are coddled. They get trophies just for showing up. Something's gotta be done. Someone's gotta step in and stop the ass-kissing and start the ass kicking. That's why we're here. The world needs Cobra Kai."

"You know, that's a nice little speech. The only problem is, there is no we." Johnny said.

"I'm just saying I can help you. And the Lioness. She's quite the hothead. Kinda like you. Cobra Kai will influence her to let all of her anger unleash. And once she does...she'll become unstoppable."

"Yeah? Well I'll do anything in my power to never let that happen. And I don't need your help." He said.

"You may not think you need my help, but those studentsโ€”"

Kreese was cut off by Johnny hitting the table. "Stay the hell away from my students, you understand? Especially Maria. I don't need you exploiting her."

"Why would I want to exploit her?" Kreese asked innocently.

Johnny gave him a look in response. He knew what Kreese was trying to do. He also knew about Valeria's family. He knew that Kreese knew about the Gallagher legacy. He also knew that Kreese would relentlessly exploit it. "You did the same to me and ruined my life. I'm not letting you ruin hers."

"Johnny, we've had our disagreements, but ruined your life? Come on. You had no life before you met me. Remember?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I remember. I remember you doing back then what you're doing right now. Trying to find my weakness. But I'm not a kid anymore. And you're not my sensei. There's only one sensei in Cobra Kai. Me. And that's how it's gonna stay." He stood up. "And your right. The world may need Cobra Kai, but we don't need you." Johnny walked away and out of the diner.

MARIA, MIGUEL, AND HAWK rode their scooters to practice. They parked their scooters and started to walk to the dojo. "All right. So, I get my license next week. my mom's gonna give me her Sentra. I'm thinking about putting a blue racing stripe down the middle, hood to tail." Hawk said as he instinctively wrapped his arm around Maria's shoulder.

"Subtle. I like it." Miguel said.

"Sounds sick." Maria added. When they got there, they saw a bunch of kids waiting outside the dojo.

"Looks like we got a bunch of new students." Miguel said.

"Fresh fish." Hawk added with a smirk. "Check this out."

"Don't." Miguel tried to stop him, but Hawk ignored him. "Hey, mouth-breathers. Move it." He ordered.

"Sorry about that." One kid moved away from the door.

"I'll get the door." The other kid held the door open for them.

"So, you guys wanna be Cobra Kais, huh?" Hawk asked. He pretended to punch them which made them back away. "You got a long road ahead of you." They walked in and saw that one of the mirrors was broken inside the dojo.

"What the hell happened here?" Miguel asked.

Aisha shrugged. "Looks like Sensei threw a party."

"Must have been pretty sick if fire got involved." Hawk said.

"Quiet!" Johnny yelled as he walked in the room. "The dojo's closed to new students today."

"We just wanted to sign up after we saw the tournament." One kid said.

"Do I need to say it again? Get out!" Johnny exclaimed.

"Yes, sir...Sensei. Come on, let's go." They walked out of the dojo.

"Let's go, move it. Come back tomorrow. And bring your checkbooks." He said as they walked out of the dojo. "Everybody, fall in!"

"Must have been a rager, Sensei." Hawk said to him.

"Yeah, were you celebrating all weekend?" Maria added.

"Celebrating what? My students are a bunch of pussies. Diaz. Gallagher. Up front." They looked at each other in confusion and went to the front of the room. "Gallagher. Did you attack your opponent when he back was turned?" He asked her.

"Yes, Sensei." She answered in confusion.

"Diaz. Did you purposely attack your opponent's injury?" He asked him.

"Yes, Sensei."

"You think that makes you badass?" They looked at each other, then back at him. "What's the matter, too tough a question? Maybe you need some help. Ms. Robinson!"

Her eyes flickered to him. "Yes, Sensei?" She replied.

"Two cobras in the jungle. One kills the strongest lion, the other kills a crippled monkey. Which cobra do you wanna be?" He asked her.

"The one that kills the lion, sensei." She answered.

"And why is that?" He asked again.

"Because it killed a stronger animal."

"Correct!" He exclaimed. "Cobra Kai is about being badass. And the baddest badass is the one who beats his opponent when he is at his strongest. Not when his back is turned." He looked at Maria. "Not when he's injured." He then looked at Miguel. "Is that understood?"

"Yes, Sensei." Everyone answered.

"That means no more cheating. No more fighting dirty. From here on out, those are pussy moves, and you don't wanna be pussies, do you?" He asked.

"No, Sensei." Everyone answered again.

"Good. It's why I had you wear your white belts. We're starting over." He turned to Miguel and Hawk. "Diaz, Gallagher, 50 push-ups on your knuckles. Ms. Robinson, warm them up." He ordered.

"Yes, Sensei."

After Miguel was done, he went to Johnny's office. "Sensei, you got a minute?" He asked.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"What the hell was that out there? Punishing us for winning the tournament?" He asked.

He sighed. "I'm teaching you a lesson." He said.

"What about no mercy? You taught us to win at all costs."

"Yeah. Well, maybe I'm still learning a little bit too." He said.

"I just don't understand. You had no problem with us attacking anyone else. Why take pity on Robby Keene?" Miguel asked. Johnny sighed and walked up to him.

"Look...I wasn't taught the difference between mercy and honor and I payed the price for it. If I'm extra hard on you, it's only because you have the potential to be better than I ever was. You want that, don't you?" He asked him. Miguel nodded.

"All right. Now stop whining like a little bitch and get out and finish your drills."

"Yes, Sensei." Miguel chuckled, bowed, and left his office to finish the drills.
