Alex, Rex, Circe, and Jaime are all flying to where the strange group is heading to Gerlach. Alex was able to get trace their location to wherever they are hiding. Needless to say, the team was not expecting that they would hide in what is possibly the darkest town yet. As the both of them fly to where the town, Rex than speaks to Alex.

"Alex, are you sure that we can find the answers that we are looking for in this place so dark?"

Alex than looks at Rex with a serious expression.

"I am certain that we can find our answers here. The people had masks similar to the faces of a Symbiote. We can't take our friends Toxin, Scorn, and Agent Venom, as we have no idea what would happen if we brought those 2 Symbiotes there. For all we know, they could truly be controlled and we might get attacked instantly. So yes, I am sure that the answer is here, at where ever these people are going into."

After the explanation, Rex than looked down, as he still doubted that the answers they are looking for is here Alex is now directing the group to. But he began thinking, Jaime looks and notices something.

"Guys, I notice something strange right here. It looks like the same guys that Alex has describes us to, having faces similar to a Symbiote, and they are in the town. They are also going into the shadow of a building."

Alex than looks at Blue Beetle and spoke out, demandingly.

"Than let's get down there and check it out. We can't lose them, not when we have the answers to our side, and answers that are close to our grip."

Jaime nods his head, and the group chased after them. A few minutes later, and the group was able to see what was at the entrance. It was a hidden staircase that goes deep underground. Everyone looked at one another, confused at what is down there. Than they gathered together to think of a plan.

"Why should we do? Can we go inside and dress as one of them?"

Rex spoke out to Alex. Alex than shakes his head, disagreeing.

"No go, they can possibly see that we are not one of them, as it will not hide our faces completely. Even if I go in there and consume one of those guys, I do not know if they can have a symbiote that can sense who we are. No. We need to find a way in there without being seen in anyway."

Everyone than looked at each other for a minute or so, before Blue Beetle than spoke out.

"I can go in."

Everyone than looked at him confused. He than makes it clearer.

"The scarab can turn me invisible to even any possible Symbiotes down there. I can see what is happening and talk to you about it."

Alex than spoke out.

"How about I make this easier?"

He than pulls out a camera from his pocket, and gives it to Blue Beetle.

"We can use this camera and record what we see and hear. You head down there, and position your camera to anything that is important. Are you ready for this?"

Jaime than nodded yes, clearly. Alex than puts the camera on Jaime's head, as he climbs in the wall, and turns invisible from anyone there. He than climbs on the walls, as he looks around.

The caverns around Blue Beetle are scary. There are machinery, tubes, and all sorts of creepy people in ragged robes. But Blue Beetle ignores them, and continue to where he needs to go to. As he crawls with his claws, he began to wonder, what do they look like hoodless. But Jaime ignored those and continued onward.

Back outside, Alex, Rex, and Circe are looking at what they are witnessing. Alex is shocked along with the others, and decide to share this video feeds with the foundation.

"Dr.Gears, everyone. Are you seeing this?"

Dr.Gears than responded.

"We do. We cannot believe what these people have. It looks like the machines are used to make the body that they need fresh. But why they need one fresh, we don't know why."

Alex just took the words, and just looked at what Jaime is going down into. Whatever is down there, it cannot be good. And it most likely, is very catastrophic. He just hope he is wrong about all of this.

Back with Blue Beetle, as he is looking at the machines, he began to hear voices. He looks around, but sees nothing. He than got the Scarab to trace the Signal of where this is coming from. He was able to find it, and went into a hidden dark entrance, somewhere in the area's corner.

As he crawled there, he hears them. The voices are getting more closer. But the way they sound...it is becoming more...more less human. Even Alex began to hear the sound of the voices. The voices, they sounded so...so much like a Symbiote. As Blue Beetle crawls, he finally found the place scene.

The place that he is in resemblances a stage of sorts. There, a group of robed people are present on the stage. There is even a group of them in front of them. It closely looked, the face color's inhuman.

As he looked, he began to hear what the person at the stage is saying, She just might be the leader of this mysterious group.

"My fellow brethren. It is now finally time for the Church if the New Darkness to commence its plan. It is time for us to bring back Knull from the cage he is trapped in!"

The group made a battle cry in this thing.

"But first, we shall summon Grendel first, and bring forth is chosen host."

She than tapped her staff on the floor, and a black liquid began to appear on the floor. Than, the scientists from the foundation spoke out, rather panicked.

"Everyone, some black portal is appearing under Carnage! It seems that the so-called Church of the New Darkness is going to use either Carnage or Cletus as a vessel for whatever they are bringing out! GREAT! Now we have another group of Religious Evil that is ending the world!!"

The Scientist said. Alex said nothing, along with Rex and Circe, but they have an uneasy expression on their faces. After a minute, Carnage finally appears, and looks extreme rly confused.

"HUH!!! WAHT THE!!! WHERE AM I IN RIGHT NOW?!!!!!"

As he spoke, the leader than spoke out to someone as she spread her arms, and spoke to the sky.

"Grendel, the second primordial of the Living Abyss. Take his vessel as your own. Make the Darkness become our paradise, and bring the Light to the darkest of its Death."

As she spoke, many of the cults took of their hoods from their heads, and what they saw shocked them.

Underneath the hoods of those people are, in fact, Symbiotes! The foundation couldn't believe that there are a bunch of them on the planet all this time! As they continued to look, the leader was beginning to finish the ritual.

"...in the name of the God residing in the Living Abyss, bring forth the new age of darkness to all!"

When she finished, a black mist appeared for the ground, and begin to surround Carnage.

"LET ME GO!!!! LET ME GO!!!! LET ME....GUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

Carnage than starts screaming for entire 3 minutes, before a new figure took on Carnage's place.

The Symbiote look completely monstrous in appearance. It looked like a combination between Venom and Carnag, except that instead of having eyes, it has a spiral. And unlike Venom, he has a red emblem of a twisted creature. It is spreading to its arms and legs, and its tounge is hanging like a animalistic creature. The female leader than spoke out to the creature.

"Welcome, Dragon of Darkness...
