New Roomate

Celestia had been going to Hope's Peak Academy for a little more than a year. She had been accepted in as the Super High School Level Gambler, and was in class 78. Celeste wasn't excited when she heard she would have to share a dorm with a roommate, but luckily her roommate had never been a problem for her. In fact, she enjoyed being around her roommate, they were very sweet. Once they got comfortable around each other, they would talk often and became pretty close. That was, until they had to switch rooms. Super High School Level Programmer, Chihiro Fujsaki, Celeste's former roommate had revealed that they were actually a boy. Celeste, who had been sharing a room with them for over a year, had figured out long ago that Chihiro was a cross-dresser. She never minded that Chihiro was a boy, she knew he would never disrespect her privacy.

But regardless of how safe Celeste felt, it was against school policy for two students of different genders to be sharing a room. Chihiro was moved into the Super High School Level Mechanic, Kazuichi Souda's room. Celeste had never met him, but she felt very sympathetic for Chihiro. Celeste and the Super High School Level Princess, Sonia Nevermind had talked with each other a few times. Every time they had spoken, Kazuichi would, at some point, interrupt to bother Sonia. Every time it was something creepy and stalker-ish. Celeste had to pretend to relate to the culture shock of moving to Japan to attend Hope's Peak Academy when she was with Sonia.

Sonia had been born and raised in the Kingdom of Novaselic. Celeste had been raised in Utsunomiya, where she was called Taeko Yasuhiro. When she was a child, she developed a deep hatred for herself. She hated herself to the point she considered her given name a "loser's name" and developed an obsession for European Royalty. She made up a fake backstory for her self where she had been the daughter of a French Nobility and a German woman from a family of musicians. She changed her name to Celestia Ludenburg and faked a European accent. At the beginning, it was hard to remember everything about her new self, but by the time she started gambling, it was her second nature. She knew her made up childhood story better than her own. This ability was what made her such a good gambler. She could lie about anything, and she did.

Celeste had never been caught in a lie. She wasn't close with any family members, so they were oblivious to the things she was telling people. Being at this new school, away from her family, made it so much easier to get away with. There was one problem, though. Super High School Level Detective, Kyoko Kirigiri. Celeste figured she would be able to see through her act, and had been purposefully avoiding the lavender-haired girl the whole time she had been attending Hope's Peak Academy. She had only had to speak with her once or twice, but that was about to change.

Celeste was now the only one occupying her dorm room, which was large enough to fit 2 people. the Super High School Level Swordswoman, Peko Pekoyama and the Super High School Level traditional dancer, Hiyoko Saionji were living 3 to a room with Kyoko. The three girls all had to share one bathroom and could barely fit a third bed. One of them had to get moved to Celeste's room. Peko and Hiyoko were both in class 77-b, and Kyoko and Celeste were both in class 78, so the school decided it would be the most convenient for Kyoko to move into Celeste's dorm. Celeste was going to have to share a room with the only person in the whole school who could figure out she was lying about almost everything.
