The morning of the saturday was full of excited studients preparing themselves for the ball that was comming up later that day, Serena had woken up ealier than usal as she had promised to help Yori with her make up, she had picked it up thanks to Minako's usual attacks of her not prettying up enough for Darien, and when she had asked her for advise she ended up looking as a clown, as such she asked her mom to teach her hoe to apply make up, she decided that for the ball she would go with a natural look and apply the minimum quantity needed, as for Yori, she wanted a more marked look to accompany her dress that was a light pink colour, she apparently wanted to prove an old friend that ahe no longer needed her and that she was perfectly fine.

Once in their room, Sayori put on her dress and allowed Serena to apply the make up for her, she gave her cat like eyeliner, soft pale with gloss lips, and a darker pink shadow with pink and diamond stones on her nails. She decided to keep her natural hair style.

Serena put on here own dress and decided to keep her usal hair style adding the ornaments and then putting on her make up she made it that the eye shadows where silver with a cat like eyeliner and pink almost red lipstick, she ended up putting her necklace, gloves and other accesories, that she had decided to put after the make up as to avoid stainig them.

When they were ready they headed down stairs to wait for the others, in this case for Zero and Sayori's date to pick them up, Sayori's companion was one of their classmates, he apparently have had a crush on her for a while, on Sayori had ignored him because she liked Aido, unfortunetly he never had paid her attention so last year she decide to give up on him and give other a chance, which came down to her accepting their classmate invitation. As Sayori was leaving Zero came up to her and gaver his arm to grab and silver roses as a bracelet to show they where a couple as he too was wearing one in his vest's pocket, he decided to put his hair on a ponnytail to look a little more approchable than before, but he still looked as someone they had to respect.

They finally reached their destination being the one of the only ballrooms they had on the academy, they had unlucky arrived at the same time as the vampires and where on a stand off, with Yuuki looking at Zero almost lustifully and torwads Serena with hate on her eyes, though Serena had no idea why so she just shrough (?) it off and stay by Zero's side with out saying anything as she didn't really knew any of them.

Suddenly Kaname got closer to say Hi, but Zero stiffened like he didn't wanted him to do so, so Serena turned to him.

Serena: "Look Zero the principal is calling for us, let's go to meet him"

Zero: "Yes, let's go meet father" he said after looking torwards Kaien, and ignoring both Yuuki and Kaname that was approaching them. Yuuki looked offended that Zero had ignored her and tried to talk  to him but he continued to treat her like air but as she got more bothersome getting in their way he finally snapped at her.

Zero: "What do you want Kuran! Can't you see I want nothing to do with you" he said pissed.

Yuuki: "How can you say that, I missed you so much Zero" She said crying and them trying to hug him. Zero saw her intentions and moved out of the way taking Serena with him and allowing Yuuki to fall on the floor.

Zero: "I told you and him that I wanted nothing to do with you!, so you better leave alone or I won't care about the consequences, I will repeat myself Yuuki Kuran, I DO NOT LIKE YOUR KIND, your lucky I didn't followed with my threat the first time I saw you, so DON'T test my patience, come on Serena the principal is calling for us and it looks kind of important"

Serena: "Yes Zero, it was a pleasure to meet you, but we have to go"

Yuuki: "Who the hell is SHE, is she more important ot you you than ME, the one you lived with for 10 years!" 

Zero: "Yes, she is more important to me than you, who pretended to forget everything form your former life to be the perfect fiance of you dear brother, so don't bother yourself with me anymore as I AM part of your past, and you from mine!"

Serena: "Zero are you alrigth?, maybe we should leave the party, I don't really like the way everyone is looking at me"

After she said that he looked around and almost all of the males in the room where looking at her lustifully, so he warped a protective arm on her waist and glared at them challing them to try anything with her and he would give them pain, he then gave the same glare to he vampires as some of them where also giving her a similar look, but for them it was more like they wanted something form her, and they where giving him hateful looks as he had his arm on her waist as if they were jelous of him. only Kaname looked at her with respect and was that admiration and longing? He wasn't entirely sure but he wasn't going to take any chances,  he looked arounf once again till he found Haruka, Michiru and Sayori and decided to call them over.

Zero: "Haruka! Sayori! come over I need your help with something!" He said keeping his eyes on them, especially Yuuki as she seemed to want to harm Serena.

After a few moments the three of them approached them and he asked them to look after Serena for a moment and to not leave her alone that he was going to talk with the principal. Sayori had approached them with her partner and the look in the face of Aido was one of pure jelousy, as he didn't wanted to admit he was in love with her, the moment Zero had called her over he had been glad to see her but whe he saw she wasn't alone he got extreamely angry and had to stand further away to not harm him for touching her.

Kaname tried to strike a conversation with Serena but Haruka got in the way and told him to back off, that only those approved by them or Serena herself were allowed to get close, so he decided to talk to Haruka, as he seemed to have a guardian attitude and warn him about the vampire council and Rido.

Kaname: "You are Haruka right? I wanted to warn your princess to be careful, the council is aware of her existance as well as my uncle Rido Kuran, and they will stop at nothing to get whaat they want. I'm telling you this because the vibe you give me is that of one of the princess protectors, which one you are I am not sure, just be prepared to be attacked, there are spies for both sides so be careful" He said looking at Serena with care and love.

Haruka: "Very well, I will take your warning but I advise you to stay away from us, I know Zero is a hunter, he has been training us to protect ourselves, so let me tell you something I may not be the strongest outer rim guardian but I can get rid of many of your kind if they so try to harm our future queen, oh, and I'm a woman though I prefer male clothing"

Kaname: "I understand" How can such a beautiful white rose be surrounded by so many thorns and remain being the most pretty of them all? "Wait, you said you were a girl?"

Haruka: "Why?, any problem with that?"

Kaname: "No, just unexpected, I will be on my way then"

While all this was happening Yuuki was extreamely mad and had been trying to free herself from Takuma's grasp as she wanted to confront Serena as to why Zero seemed to give her more importance than hers fortunetly she was unable to and opted to glare at her though she was giving her her back.

Serena felt Yuuki glaring at her but she didn't understand why she seemed to hate her, she didn't even knew her, it was the first time since her arrival that someone showed her such blatant hate for no reason, she even caught Sayori looking at Yuuki with hate on her eyes and daring her to get closer and try to harm her new friend, the strangest thing was that she unconsciously knew that they weren't human but undead, meaning that they most likely were vampires, but she decided to pretend to be oblivious to it, she felt closer to the one they called Kaname but being honest she felt safer and even more conected to Zero than anyone else, that was part of the reason as to why she liked him.

Suddenly the ligths went out and the sound of glass breaking sounded all around them, she felt something arousing inside of her as if she wanted to awaken as Princess Serenity, she fought the feeling but the longer they were in darkness the more that feeling wanted to be free, in the end she couldn't keep it any more and ended up transforming to her alterego.

As soon as her transformation was over the lights came back and the rest of the studients that were no vampires were uncounsious except for her guardians and the vampire hunters that were present, they all looked at her and then to the intruders, they wer  part of the vampire council, they stood up and got closer to Serena, but suddenly Zero came down from the balcon he was standing on and stood in front of her, she tried to get closer to him but she found herself unable to move, like something was keeoing her in that place.

Serena: "Ahh!, Haruka please help, I can't move!"
