It was the end of the week and both the female and male studients where buzzing with enthusiasm as the welcoming ball was that saturday and many of them had to adquire their dresses and suits, even Serena that had found out three days earlier hadn't had the chance to buy it, so she asked Michiru, Haruka and Zero to accompany her to but it, turns out the school principal decided to tag along to get Zero a suit as he insisted on wearing his school uniform as the previous years, so they received special permision to go out during the class periods to buy their clothes. They had already visited three stores and both Michiru and Haruka had their dress and suit respectively, only Zero and Serena were missing and thats because Michiru had teamed up with Kaien to get their clothes and didn't let them choose on their own, Serena hadd seen a very simple and white dress that she had loved but they said no, and continued looking for more.

After searching for hours they fanilly came across a beautiful white dress with a ribbon on the back and matching above the elbow gloves and a little bag , a white necklace with matching hair ornaments and gold earings. (Imagine she doesn't have the moon symbols on her forhead, the bag nor earings) 

For Zero because he refused to wear a jacket the found him a black vest with shirt and black pants, they had them try them on and to stand by each other, as the other three had noticed the looks that Zero had been giving Serena when she wasn't looking and the looks Serena was giving Zero when he was distracted, so their plan to leave them for last was to have him ask her to be his date for the ball.

When both Zero and Serena came out of the changing room neither could remove their eyes from the other till they where interrupted by Kaien asking what they thought of the other.

Kaien: "Soo, Serena, what do you think?, we made the right choice for his suit didn't we?" he said mischiviously, then seeing that Serena had blushed a bright red he changed targets and asked Zero, "What about you Zero, she looks reeeaallyy pretty doesn't she? I heard that many of the male studients in the higher grades and lower ones wanted to ask her to be their date, she refused them both now with her looking like this i'm afraid they wont leave her alone unless she has a companion with her. Tuttu, if I was a little younger I'd definitely ask her out, but as the principal I can't, such a shame" He said while side looking at his reactions, the moment he said many had asked her to be their date, he was jelous, but the moment he heard she had refused he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, finally he got an annoyed and worried expresion when he said they wouldn't leave her alone and that he would ask her out if he was younger, to what he answered.

Zero: "yes, such a shame your already to old, you could be her grandfather" He said hiding a smirk seeing that what he said had the effect he spected. "But you are rigth we cannot allow Serena to be alone during the party, so Serena, would you do me the honor to be my companion during this ball and the next ones as well?" As he was almost certain Kaien and Kaname would plan to have more balls for the heck of it, most likely to annoy him.

Serena: " I, I, Yes, it would be my pleasure" she said blushing even more, as when Kain was telling those things to Zero she had listened to everything he said was embarrased by it, as she had never had that many people asking her out, but as she already liked Zero, she was hopping he would ask her out, at the same time she was having troubles with liking Zero as her previous reletionship hadn't ended that well and was still a very fresh wound, but being close to him she felt safe, and confortable, different to how she felt with Darien, it was kind of suffocating, like he was presuring her to do things she didn't want to because of their future daughter, she just hopped the future would change for the best and not be ruined or everything they did would be for nougth.

After succeding on getting them to together, they finally have them change back to their uniforms and pay for the clothes, once ready they returned to the academy after dinning on a nearby restaurant and getting ice cream for their way back, everyone returned to their respective dorms, while Zero left to help Sayori with the patrol and Serena stayed there watching him leave, when she was going to return to her dorm, she heard a weird noice and went to check it out, finding one of the night class studients there, she got closer as it seemed they were hurt and asked them if they wher fine and if they needed help she could go get it.

Serena: "Hey, are you alrigth? Do you need help? I think I can get Zero to come, wait a moment I will try to reach him before he leaves to the main building!"

?: "NO!, No one can find out I was here, please don't tell anyone!"

Serena: "But what about your injuries? Your bleeding pretty badly, you need some help, mmm, I  can't take you to my dorm, but maybe the principal can help?"

?: "Th the principal?, yes I think he can help me, can you take me there?"

Serena: "Yes, I can try, come on let me help you bandage your wounds so you don't bleed any more on our way" After getting bandages Serena, gets to work to help him stop his blood loss and then helps him to get to Kaien's house. "Principal!, It's me, Serena, there's someone that needs your help, I don't know how much he can hold on!" she says extreamely worried.

Kaien: "Serena?, What happen..." He stops talking the moment he laid eyes on the night class studient that was heavily injured. "What happend to him?!"

Serena: "I don't know, I found him like this near my dorm, I covered his wounds but he lost consciousness mid way here, I tried to have tell me what happend but he didn't said anything, he said he would get into trouble if he speaked"

Kain: "Mmm, It seems I will have to call Kaname, to see what's going on, You should stay here for the night Serena, it's dangerous for you to go out at this time, there's two guest rooms, one is Zero's and the other one is free, you can use that one"

Serena: "Thank you, I will head there, good night, Mr. Cross" Serena was worried that a Youma had managed to get inside the school, but the injuries he had were more like scratches than anything else, remembering about what Artemis had told her she thougth about whaat kind of creature could cause this kind of damage, comming up with two answers, one a werewolf or a vampire, but if he had lost a lot of blood shouldn't he be already dead?,unless he himself was a vampire and he was defending himself from one of his kind? but why would kins attack each other? It made no sense, she continued that thinking what was going on, till she came to the conclusion that the night class was full of vampires, and this Kaname was probably their head, as she saw how they followed him around, most likely a pureblood, a decendant of one of her mothers creations,

A few hours later Kaname got to Kaien's house and saw him fast asleep in the floor looking after a very weakend night class studient, he seemed to have blond hair but it was mostly covered by blood so he wasn't sure, thinking about the studients that had missed the classes there were two one of them being Aido, as he had sent him to spy on the council, and Katsuki, that claimed to be very exhusted from his work, as such he called Kaien and asking him what had happend.

Kaien: "Sorry Kaname, I don't know, one of the day class studients found him near their dorms and brought him to me, they said that they tried to make tell them what happend but he kept repeating that no one was supposed to know he was there, that no one should see him, and then fell unconscious, I treated his wounds and gave him blood tablets but he hasn't woken up"

Kaname: "I see, have you identified him yet?"

Kaien: "No, not yet, I thought you might know him better"

Kaname: "By the smell of his blood, he is an aristocrat, let me see if he has a family crest" After checking his pockets he found that he did indeed carried his family crest, and ended up being Aido, "It's Aido, but what is he doing here? I gave him a task that shouldn't get him injured like this, unless he was met with trouble on his way back"

Kaien: "Oh, well it seems you have everything under control, i'm going to bed, we still have a ball later in the day, so see ya later" he said yawning and heading to his room.

Kaname was left to take Aido back to the nigth dorms and look after him on his own, so he had no choice  but to carry him back and make sure he had a proper supply of blood tablets for him to drink from once he woke up and went to bed finding that Yuuki had slip onto his room once again to sleep with him, he sighed and went to bed, wainting for the ball to star later on the day.
