Chapter 8: School Break

TW: There are mentions of n@ilgvnn!ng someone. Rsch also unintentionally nearly $vff0c@t3$ Essie and Affie to d3@th.

Later that night, Krus and Rsch were laying down on the bed, cuddling. It was 11pm, and neither of them could sleep. So, Krus decided to ask her the one thing that's been on his mind the whole night.

"Rsch?"

"Yes, Krusy?"

"Athena told me that...during the first few months of our relationship, you told her that...if you were to marry and let someone take your virginity, it would be me. Was she speaking truthfully?"

Rsch immediately started fuming when she heard that. "THAT MOTHER[FUNKING] SON OF A [BISH]! SHE PROMISED SHE WOULDN'T TELL ANYONE!! I SWEAR TO [GOSH], THE NEXT TIME I SEE HER, I'M GONNA N@!LGVN HER HE- MMH!"

Before she could finish her sentence, Krus pressed his lips against hers, stroking her hair and holding her close until she fully relaxed and melted into the kiss.

After a couple minutes he pulled away and gave her forehead a smooch. "Calm down, love." Rsch only huffed and cross her arms at that. "Sometimes, you can be cute when you get angry. Have I ever told you that?"

Rsch's face became as blue as a blueberry, and even if it was dark, Krus could see that clearly.

"Shut up and kiss me again." Rsch said, trying to sound polite, but ending up coming off as aggressive.

"What's the magic word?" Krus asked teasingly.

"Please?" Krus chuckled and did what she asked, pulling her in for another kiss. She hummed in content before flipping them over so that she was on top of him.

Athena's house was much farther than Krus'. In fact, it was 90 blocks/4.5 miles away, and, rather than teleporting herself home or taking a taxi or hitchhiking, she walked all the way there. If she wasn't a goddess and almost always brvt@lly training herself every day, then she probably would've been close to or already passed out at this point.

(A/N: I used a calculator to convert blocks to miles bc not only am I lazy af, but I'm also crappy at Math, especially Algebra, so pls don't attack me if I get it inaccurately.)

Finally, she had reached the two-bedroom apartment she shared with her aunt, Hestia, and her other fellow virgin goddesses; Hecate and Astraea and knocked on the door, which was opened by a 6ft woman who had long, black hair with curled, brown ends, fair skin, and brown eyes.

"Hello, Athena." The woman greeted with a warm smile.

Athena couldn't help but smile. "Hi, Auntie Hestia."

"How was your day with Hera, Iris, Aphrodite and Krusveto?" Hestia asked, stepping inside so her niece could step in their apartment.

"It went well, for the most part." Athena answered, walking in their house, and getting a red apple from the fruit basket and taking a bite of it.

"For the most part?" Hestia asked. "What do you mean?"

"In order to respect Krusveto, the only thing I'm going to say is that something happened earlier." Athena said. "None of us were harmed in any way, don't worry."

"Alright." Hestia said as Athena made her way towards her and Hecate's shared bedroom. "Good night, Athena."

"Good night, auntie!" Athena said before going out of earshot.

Back in their dorm, Essie and GF were laying on the bedroom. Affie and BF were asleep, while they were not.

"Can't sleep?" GF asked, breaking the silence between her and Essie.

"Yes." Essie answered. "You can't sleep either, can you?"

"Yeah." GF answered. "I'm just really excited to see my parents and siblings again."

"I feel the same." Essie said. "And I can't wait to finally meet my paternal grandparents and connect with them. I'm going to miss being your roommate and being able to hang out with you every day, though."

"I will too." GF said. "But look on the bright side! At least we'll only not be able to see each other as much for a couple months."

Essie chuckled. GF was always an optimist, and she loved that about her. "I suppose so."

The next day, after school was finished, Essie, Affie, BF, and GF walked out of their university, dragging their luggage bags with them.

"It's summer break, baby!" Affie yelled.

"Someone's happy." Essie teased with a smile on her face.

"There'll be no school and assignments for a few months!" Affie said. "Who wouldn't be happy?"

"You make a good point." Essie said.

"Beep ske doop bop ba (I'm not going back here after spring break)." BF beeped. Essie, Affie, GF turned to him.

"Why?" GF asked.

"Beep bop bap boop ba (I've decided to drop out because I wanna be a rapper and can't wait until after graduation)." BF answered.

"Alright." Essie said.

"We'll definitely miss you being our roomie, but being a rapper has been your dream ever since you were six." Affie said. "If you really wanna start your rapping career before graduation, that's okay with us." BF smiled.

"My parents are here!" GF said, her gaze focused on a black limo. Essie, Affie and BF turned to where she was looking.

"Alright." Essie said with a smile and a blush on her face. "Goodbye, Girlfriend."

"Bye!!" GF said before walking over to her parents' limo and getting in.

"Oooooooooooooh...." Affie said.

"Affie...." Essie started, her face as red as a tomato.

"I can't help it!" Affie said. "You and GF are soo cute together!"

"Alright." Essie said. "Anyways, we should probably go before Selever starts spamming our phones with texts asking where we are. I'll go and call dad to tell him that we're on our way."

"Okay." Affie said as her older sister walked off. Once Essie was far away from everyone, she took out her phone and clicked on her dad's contact.

"Yeah?" She heard her younger brother say over the phone.

"Hello and good afternoon, Selever." Essie said.

"Hey, [bish]." Selever said. "Simping [a-word]hole II left his phone, so I took the call for him. You on your way?"

"We're just about to leave, actually." Essie answered. "And please watch your language."

"As if I give a [funk]." Selever said. "See ya, sis." Before Essie could say anything else, he hung up. She sighed before going back to Affie and BF, who were talking about whatnot and laughing.

She smiled and stood there silently, wanting to see how this would go.

"BF...there's...there's something I need to tell you." Affie said, her face periwinkle blue.

"Beep? (Yeah?)" BF asked.

"I-I-I...um...I...uh..."

"Lil' bro!!" They turned and saw a man who looked like BF, but much older and taller, waving at him from a car.

"Beep bee! (BB!)" BF beeped in joy.

"I wish you luck and success with your future rapping career." Affie blurted out, chickening out at the last minute.

"Beep ba. (Okay)." BF beeped, turning back to Affie. "Beep bo! (Bye!)"

"Bye." Affie said back as BF ran over to his brother's car and went in. Essie chuckled, making her presence known to her sister.

Affie turned to her. "Ready to go?"

"Yes." Essie answered.

As she walked with her sister, Affie saw the flyer on the wall promoting their community's Heathers production of one of the restaurants and grabbed Essie's wrist, pointing to it. "Look!"

"I remember this." Essie said, looking at the flyer. "Boyfriend and Girlfriend were talking about it. If I remember correctly, Girlfriend signed up for H. Chandler and Boyfriend signed up for JD, right?"

"Yeah." Affie said. "They said we could sign up as well and I HAVE been wanting to play H. McNamara for 2 years now."

"Do you want to sign up then?" Essie asked.

"Only if you do." Affie said.

"Affie-"

"C'mon, sis!" Affie started. "You know you've been dying to play Veronica Sawyer. This could be your chance to finally play your dream role! Even if it isn't a professional production and we're not gonna get paid, at least we'll have fun doing what we've been wanting to do for so long." She went down on her knees, clasped her hands in front of her, and did the puppy dog eyes. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

"Alright." Essie said, relenting.

"YES!!" Affie yelled, raising her fist up high.

"Please tone it down, sestra." Essie said. "We're in public."

"Right, right, sorry." Affie said sheepishly. The two sisters took a picture of the flyers and continued the walk to their house.

They eventually reached their home; the church. When they walked in, they were immediately hit with a wave of nostalgia. It had been so long since they last went here.

Affie caught their family's attention. "Hey guys!" They turned to them, their eyes widening and tears even forming in their mother's eyes.

"Affie! Essie!" Sarv and Selever said in unison before running over to them and wrapping their arms around them.

"Hey." Rasazy greeted once Sarv and Selever let them go.

"Hello, Rasazy." Essie said. Affie noticed a man and woman she had never seen before, whom she recognized as her grandparents from the description her parents gave of them.

"Are they our grandparents that mom resurrected from the dead you've been telling us about?" Affie asked.

"Da." Ruv answered. "Affie, Essie, this is your grandfather, Krusveto, and your grandmother, Rschvania. Mama, papa, meet our eldest daughters, Esfir, Essie for short, and Afanasiia, Affie for short."

Their grandmother immediately ran to them and engulfed them in a bear hug.

"You two sweethearts!" Their grandmother cooed. "Like Rasazy, you're just as beautiful as your mama is, but I see a [crap]load of Ruvvy in you as well!"

"Thank you, babushka." Essie and Affie said. Their grandmother squealed and tightened her grip on them in glee. They looked at their mom, silently begging for her to intervene. While they were enjoying the hug, they couldn't breathe.

"Rschvania, as happy as I am to see that you love the kids, let's let Krusveto spend some time with them as well." Sarv said. "Also, you're svff0c@t!ng them."

Rsch immediately lets go of the sisters and looks at them with concern and remorse. "I'm so sorry! Are you alright?"

"We're fine." Essie and Affie said in unison. Rsch sighed in relief.

"Hello, Affie, Essie." Krus greeted.

"Hello, dedushka." Essie said. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Likewise, Essie." Krus said.

"You don't have to be that formal, y'know?" Affie said, turning to her older sister. "He's our grandfather."

"You're right." Essie said. "I'm sorry, dedushka. It's a habit that I can't break, no matter how hard I try."

"It's alright." Krus said. "I was like that when I was younger as well, and didn't grow out of it until a week after my 30th birthday. I got that a lot."

"I'm glad to know I'm not alone." Essie said with a smile on her face.

"What the [heck] are you two [bishes] waiting for?!" Selever asked, interrupting the moment. "Get the [funk] in before I drag your dumb[a-words] inside."

"WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE SELEVER!" Essie, Affie, Sarv, Rasazy and Krus yelled at the same time.

Rsch laughed. "As funny as that is, Selever's right. Get your [a-words] in here."

Essie chuckled. "Alright, alright, we're coming."

She and Affie walked in the church, smiling.

They were home again.
